Mine never worked. Every time I inserted a disc the tray would open back up. Tried DVDs (from different regions), Blurays and 4K Blurays, all were spat back out. Tried turning it off (would turn off with the tray out) and it made no difference. Tried unplugging and plugging it back in, to no avail. Very disappointing, I had done a bunch of research and was hoping this would be a great product Too bad: it came with the remote and additional instructions for changing regions. Easy to install. Just wouldn’t work. I am returning it and getting a refund. Additionally, the multisystem-electronics(dot)com website did not work (down for maintenance ...in 2018) ***UPDATE: I had reached out to the Multisystem-electronics as I was still considering a replacement and/or a different model and wanted guidance. Dreadful customer service: They were unhelpful and more interested in getting me to take down this review. I am getting a different model from a different vendor.

I Have watched a DVD, Blu-ray, UHD and 3D Blu-ray with this unit. Beautiful pictures and sound. No issues. I viewed them on a Samsung 65" UHD TV. The DVD up-scaling was very clean though I do not know if that is a consequence of the Player or the TV. (Probably both) UHD colors seemed to be saturated (a good thing) and accurate. (No empirical testing was performed to verify the accuracy of my impression.) While pausing playback, the picture remained in 3D. The remote is small but easy to use. The Play/Pause/FF controls are aligned with your index finger when gripped naturally. A raised battery pocket on the flip-side prevents the remote from sliding while in use. There are no back-lights or phosphor to illuminate the keys. It is NOT a smart unit. Though network-able, I do not see a purpose for connecting at this time other than a firmware update. My unit is labeled as an LG not Dynastar. The region switching for other region content is simple to do. Using the remote switch the player off, then press the 1, 2 or 3 for the region of the disc then press the remotes power button. Disc will now play. A handy quick reference sheet is included with the player should you forget.

I bought this to play my 3D Blu-rays I get from the UK (since you cant buy many 3D movies in the US anymore). I decided to upgrade to the UHD player for about $100 more so that I could use this as my go-to player for all my discs in my home theater. However I have recently gone through my whole setup at the house and have tested many different discs and settings and have realized just this week (after about 3 months of owning it) that this player doesnt in fact support Dolby Atmos audio. Originally I justified the cost of the upgrade so that I would have all the features I needed/wanted for my UHD as well as support for the 3D, but after testing, and now looking at the other models, to get Atmos I would need to buy the $400 model which was not in my price range. I wouldntve bought this if I knew Atmos wasnt actually available (it is listed as a feature) and saved my money and bought the $150 3D player instead. I tested this with my UHD copy of Passengers, my receiver registers that the audio signal is formatted in Dolby TrueHD 7.1, not Atmos. However when I put that disk in my Xbox One X, the receiver is registering the signal as Dolby Atmos. I tried modifying all the settings on the player and wasnt able to find anything mentioning Atmos, and blindly changing audio settings, I didnt stumble upon any other settings that might have turned it on/off passively. It is frustrating that I didnt test/identify this problem sooner, but as for the Region Free 3D Blu-ray playback, everything works just fine there. Overall the quality of the player is very nice, just not cool that the features listed arent accurate.

When I first received this I thought something was wrong with packaging, I wrote seller feedback I thought it would go directly to seller, not go public. Ignorant I was. I dont know how to update that post so I removed it. Since then I have realized the packaging was opened before me simply to help make this unique item what it is. IT WORKS! Beautiful image, great sound. One thing missing on this new 3D Player remote that my old one had is a button to change 2D images to 3D, but THANK GOODNESS. That button did more disservice to the 3D industry; when pushed it never rendered 3D properly. Proper rendering can only be done in the original cameras that film 3D movies or edited in with CGI computer work. This unit however doesnt allow that weakness. This 3D Player works excellently PLUS I can now watch movies I am unable to buy locally. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your wonderful service making this.

First time experiencing 4k hdr on my fancy new TV was with this player. I wanted something that could play movies from any region and this solved that problem. I was blown away by the picture. I watched Ready Player One and found myself moving my head a few times subconsciously thinking the sun glare in the opening scene was a reflection on the screen. It wasnt until I turned off all the lights that I realized I was doing it and that it was the movie itself. So if you have the TV, have movies from various parts of the world in various formats, this is the one to get.

Many people have mentioned this in reviews before me and theyre right. You receive virtually no instructions on set up and operation. Thank goodness for the good souls whove written reviews telling you things to do. Aside from that, so far Ive found it an excellent product. However, I havent any foreign DVDs to play yet, (Ive ordered some). Im hoping they play well. If not, Ill upgrade this review. All in all, it seems an excellent product. My two main criticisms are the price and the lack of a manual. Luckily, price doesnt matter much to me. It does do an excellent job of playing my DVDs and if it plays foreign ones as well I guess Ill be happy. Bless all the good souls whove offered help on the set up!! Update: Ive played foreign DVDs with no problems, and now believe that much of the criticism is overdone and unwarranted; for instance, someone carped that the remote was too small. Well, I have large hands and find that the remote works well. I still feel its too expensive, but perhaps its a case of you get what you pay for.

Before I purchased this item, I had read a few negative reviews about the product. Nevertheless, I decided to take a gamble. I have only used this DVD player a few times, beginning from March 2019 (I purchased it in January). So far, the DVD player seems to be able to play DVDs from different regions without issue. The seller included a set of instructions in the box, so that was helpful. If I experience any issues, I will change my review to include those problems, but I hope everything continues to work smoothly. The product was a little expensive, but I am content with the performance. *Note: Although the DVD player is an official LG product, the multi-region capability is a modification by the seller, so you cant ask LG for help if your DVD machine has issues. Best to talk to the seller.

I purchased this Blu-ray Player with the expectation to be able to play all of my Blu-ray and DVD discs no matter where in the world they came from, and I was not disappointed. It works perfectly. With the remote I can also control my OLED TV (LG too by the way), volume and turnig it on and off. Im glad I decided to get this.

This region- free player functions perfectly. It does not get any easier then this. Whatever the region disc you load the player switches automatically and it plays. I have not seen any 4K discs other then A, but my regions dvd and bd all work very well. On my 4K tv even a typical dvd produces a superb picture as good as any pay tv service.
