This is the first refurbished item I have purchased, so I did it with some apprehension. Overall I have been very pleased. The product and user guide appear brand-new. For me this is an upgrade from an older Sony DVD player. Most features are the same. This one of course plays Blu-Ray discs, and its somewhat easier to navigate among the menu items. Recommended.

No complaints. I bought this so my wife can play her P90X DVDs for her workouts. I chose this model because of its small size and no-frills cost. It works fine for playing physical media. Dont buy this for the apps. Its no substitute for a Roku or other streaming player. Just use it as a DVD/Blu-Ray player and you should be fine. The refurbished model was at least $20 less than a new one if I recall correctly. This particular model has wi-fi and in hindsight I see no reason to pay more for that.

This model works well for streaming and all other functions. It is a good deal for the money. The new menu format is a little confusing but that could be because I am not a technophile. Then again, a technophile (if there is such a thing) would want something much more complicated anyway - so there you go.

The player was easy to set up, and doesn’t seem to have any problems with staying connected. It came with a remote. It can connect wirelessly but the tv I connected it to is not a smart tv, so I needed an hdmi cable. That was not included. I had several so it wasn’t a problem. Just be aware you might need one. A really great purchase for the price!

Worked great. WiFi setup was effortless. Great video quality. Very easy to get my TV code programmed into the remote. As a bonus, I prefer buying certified factory refurbished items. Not only is the price point usually more attractive, but to my way of thinking since a human has tested the device, there is less likelihood of a random production failure showing up.

This player is Fantastic. Ive had it for over a week now. I bought it to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Ive been binge watching all of the Downton Abby Episodes. It did freeze up on me... well twice. I think its because I tried to stop it from thinking by clicking too fast to stop a previous action. I am hoping that it wasnt because its re-furbished or a defect of the player. I just unplugged and re-plugged it back in again and it was fine. **I did use a Wifi Repeater/Booster/Extender=Media Bridge so I wouldnt encounter any streaming issues. I just plugged one end of an Ethernet Cable into the Extender and the Other into the back of the Sony BD Player. Hard Wired it straight into the Internet. **I live in the Country so we get wifi speed(s) of between 7-12mbps. Havent had any problems with streaming at all. Theres only one tiny green light on the front that tells you its on, other than that nothing else on the face of the device. Set up was super easy. Sony makes great products and for the price this re-furbished player, it cant be beat, it acts just like its brand new. *I previously had said that I didnt try the DVD player feature of this player... but I did this weekend and the picture and sound were phenomenal. stunning. sensational. I am very pleased w/my purchase.
