I dislike writing product reviews right after I get an item. However this player I received looks and set up like it was brand new. You always take chances with rebuilt or refurbished items. Only time will tell how good the product is. But I bet mine is going to give me a lot of service. It comes with remote control once again looks brand new and of course it comes with power connector. You will have to purchase HDMI and ethernet cables which you should expect to have to do when purchasing a brand new one. Just wanted you to know what you will need to have before using your unit. One more thing it is surprisingly fast and all I have available where I live is AT&T 6 mbps. I am very happy with my purchase. ADDITION TO REVIEW IT QUIT AFTER 2 DAYS.

This player is Fantastic. Ive had it for over a week now. I bought it to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Ive been binge watching all of the Downton Abby Episodes. It did freeze up on me... well twice. I think its because I tried to stop it from thinking by clicking too fast to stop a previous action. I am hoping that it wasnt because its re-furbished or a defect of the player. I just unplugged and re-plugged it back in again and it was fine. **I did use a Wifi Repeater/Booster/Extender=Media Bridge so I wouldnt encounter any streaming issues. I just plugged one end of an Ethernet Cable into the Extender and the Other into the back of the Sony BD Player. Hard Wired it straight into the Internet. **I live in the Country so we get wifi speed(s) of between 7-12mbps. Havent had any problems with streaming at all. Theres only one tiny green light on the front that tells you its on, other than that nothing else on the face of the device. Set up was super easy. Sony makes great products and for the price this re-furbished player, it cant be beat, it acts just like its brand new. *I previously had said that I didnt try the DVD player feature of this player... but I did this weekend and the picture and sound were phenomenal. stunning. sensational. I am very pleased w/my purchase.

DONT BUY! VERY POOR PRODUCT! BROKE AFTER JUST FOUR USES! I bought mine about one month ago and only used it four times before it refused to work again. These four times were to play the movie Rio since that is the only movie my son is interested in watching (bought player for his birthday). The only thing it will do now is turn on and off non-stop (unless you unplug it) and flash a green light. Not worth the money and I wish there was a way to get my money back! In video you can see what it does while the remote sits right above it.

If you want to use this to only play bluerays it is okay, other than the fact you have to be in the right mode to eject the disk. If you are wanting to stream online content do not bother. Besides the clear memory leak that will slowly make the player more and more unresponsive, since they updated netflix to play previews of shows, it does not have enough processing power to keep up. I am often fighting with the remote to get it to do what I told it to. It also has issues buffering the content, i get more spinning wheels with it then any other device in my house including my old Nintendo Wii, computer, and PS3 so i know it is not the internet connection. Going to throw it away and replace it.

Played one movie, beautifully. Then it died, not from playing the ONE movie, but from just sitting on the shelf. Delivered January 5, tried playing a Blu Ray today, February 10th and I got nothing. You can hear the disc turning. ... Player, cables and connector were never moved. The last day for returns was February 4 th! Wow!!! Id love to know how they planned that one. Thanks for the paper weight.

I purchased 2 of these players, one for my room and one for my daughters room. The one in my room lasted approximately 3 months, then it wouldnt turn on at all. Tried unplugging and replugging and changing batteries and cables, nothing helped. Thankfully my daughter never even plugged hers in, so I moved that one to my room. When I plugged in the 2nd one I found out that the original player didnt even work correctly. Apps were missing, buttons on the remote actually did what they said they were supposed to. Very Disappointed in the first one. We will see if the second one lasts longer than the first.

The unit stops playing on all the Blue Ray movies I have tried. The solution is cycling the on/off switch. This results in loosing some of the movie. I am going to try and return the unit tomorrow and shop for a different system.

All DVDs play in a "full screen" mode. I have several DVD collections of older TV shows, which are 4:3 format. This player zooms and crops them to always fill the 16:9 screen, making these shows look horrible--people look fat and heads are cut off on top. The USB and wireless worked pretty well, but not nearly enough "channels" e.g NBC, CBS, etc., are available--Ill stay with my Roku.

Plays with a blue halo around the black areas of the screen. 99 days old, warranty is shot. After owning a few SONY BR players, Im eyeing moms unused Samsung rather than roll the dice again. Not worth even thinking about, but a poor result even for a refirb. I guess its a WIN for SONY when the customers item takes a dump a week out of warranty.

Sony DVD player BDPS3700 is very poor. When using the remote control, pressing the buttons are non responsive more than half the time, and when they do respond it is a 3-5 second lag. The players operations, the disc playing, app using are lagging as well. Those can take anywhere between 15 seconds to 2 minutes before they will begin their operation, especially when its trying to move between one operation and another, i.e. if you jumped directly from playing a DVD to going into the Netflix app. After reading further reviews, it appears that remanufactured or new doesnt matter, its a P.O.S. either way. Save your money, spend a little more for a better one, like a Samsung model that hear is better with its performance and functions (Apps, Wifi connection).
