The "certified refurbished" unit is DOA. I tried it with two separate tvs and two separate hdmi cables. Im not sure what certification process is used, but its poor. Im returning this week and Im just bummed I had to spend 30 minutes of my weekend fooling with it.
This does not connect to WIFI, and therefore cannot be used with Netflix at all. I was going to send it back until I realized they were only going to give me half (not even) of my money back! It has been sitting in my closet ever since! Waste of money.
Not worth the risk. Ive had it for 3 months at my like house. We have probably watched 4 movies on it. It quit working last week. Speakers pop and it wont track the disc. Yes the disk is good and yes I tried it on different movies. We had to go to a different tv and player to finish the movie. I wont do this again. DVD players are not that expensive. Now I have to add the cost of this one to the new one I just bought. The warranty was for 30 days.
I used it a few times in the first few months and it stopped registering any requests. Eventually it stopped turning on. It was great until it stopped working.
Disappointed in controller! Called company but no luck on controller replacement
I bought this Blu-Ray player about 16 months ago. It had some light use (probably no more than 15 movie showings) in that time. I went to open the tray to play a movie a week ago and it would not open. Now it powers on and then quickly blacks out.
