Its just what I wanted. This compact little bluray player is dynamic. It plays Blu-ray Discs crystal clear and it plays the regular dvds better and sharper than my DVD player. It also has all the other smart stuff to go with it like Netflix and YouTube. But the Netflix doesnt work very well. After playing Netflix for a while it started cutting off for no reason. Also it wants me to login every time i turn it on. All i use it for now is just to play dvd movies which it handles very well bit all the apps doesnt work good at all. It was really frustrating putting up with it. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

I ordered the blu-ray player for my room and it works perfectly. The remote has an eject button and a L E D to show when it is on which is exactly what I wanted. Very satisfied. Thank you.

Replaced a Samsung which failed after a few months. This one has more options, was easy to configure and works great for Netflix.

I really like the DVD player because it can be put on WiFi without connecting a cable to it and this is a good thing.

I needed to replace my old bluray player with a more up-to-date model to handle all the apps we now use. Our Xbox One has some limitations that make it more practical to just have a separate player (like not being able to purchase within the Amazon app, or having to take games discs out to watch blurays). I looked at a lot of players before selecting this one, and am completely satisfied with my purchase. PROS Very small footprint - with a surround sound system, xbox, router, modem, etc. all connected to our tv, space is at a premium & this is tiny. Option for faster boot-up - this player has an option to keep it "ready" without being fully on. The downside is that it constantly draws power that way, but at least customers have a choice. Updates were fast - Software updates installed immediately & I was able to quickly & easily link my Netflix, Hulu and Amazon accounts. Menu is clean and easy to use - start-up screen holds all the apps I use and the player option CONS Not every app is available - we couldnt find the CW app, for instance Very long "boot up" if you dont use the keep it ready option. Overall, Im very happy with this player. Highly recommended.

Dont waste your money on this blu-ray player. Im writing this review because the blu-ray player has finally died in just 6 months of owning it and has been nothing but problems since the start. Straight out of the box it has very cheap construction, it constantly has problems keeping up with remote inputs (lagging) and youll find yourself double clicking the wrong item. Then it started to randomly freeze while watching and show and restarting on its own. Once it restarts, its like it has been factory reset, requiring you to input all network information, Netflix passwords, etc.. When this happens 2-3 times a day, its a real pain. Then tonight it finally decided it wasnt going to restart and just stays on the blu-ray logo screen. Once again, dont waste your money on this blu-ray player. Spend a bit more or at least go with something different

Dont buy it! After a couple weeks of use it seemed okay. Now it drops from wireless internet daily. I have to reinstall all passwords for wireless, youtube, Netflix, EVERYTIME I sit down to watch something. SUPER FRUSTRATING. There are no options to "remember passwords". Spend extra money and get a nicer one. I should have went with my gut feeling on this one.

This player has some pluses and minuses for me. Its small and compact and was fairly easy to set up. It plays discs well, too. And its a Sony, which Ive had good experiences with in the past. The service from Amazon was good, too, as usual. It was delivered on time and in good condition. No complaints there. On the downside.... It has no built-in display. I imagine that was done to keep the form factor small, but I miss having that. You have to hit the "display" button on the remote to see the information youd normally see on the players display - chapter, time played/remaining, etc. Not entirely intuitive. The player does not remember where you were in the disc when you shut it down. So every time you stop a disc and want to resume it you have to search through the disc to find where you left off - again, this is a little harder since theres no built-in display. Finally, it takes a long time to boot up. It seems like its ready to go, but if there is a disc in the player it takes even longer because it has to recognize the disc first and thats a long process. Overall, Ill keep it, but I wouldnt buy it again or recommend it to a friend.

This is my second Sony Blu-Ray player, and Ive had minimal issues with the first. However, there are two things this player does that drive me crazy. The first is its tendency to randomly not recognize the network occasionally where the only fix is to reset factory settings and reinstall the wireless. A PITA, but surmountable. The second is to stop at least once during every streamed show to say insufficient bandwidth and pause for anywhere between 10s and forever (until I reset after 10 min). I have fiber internet and am actually getting faster speeds than promised. This happens on no other devices. I saw the first problem in lots of online forums, but really havent seen the second problem much. I would return but ditched the box and it seems like too much of a hassle. Ill buy a fire stick or competitive player, I guess. Ive yet to watch an actual Blu-Ray disc, so thats why I gave it two stars. Im assuming that part works.
