1st player did not have a functioning USB output port. Replacement has port that functions but still spotty. Need to shut off and on in order to get it to function properly.

I am very happy with this DVD player. Hooked up to my Samsung Smart tv 28th no problems. Self switches when I put in a British DVD or a US one.

This blue ray player is not compatible with 4K TV. I had Samsung HD TV and Sony BDP-S3500 worked with it OK. MY Samsung TV (7 years old) broke and Ive replace it with 4K LG TV. Sony BDP-S3500 blue ray player is not compatible with 4K TV. When you try to play Blue ray disk or DVD disk screen display image goes dark to the point you can not watch it at all. I would not recommend to buy this item for 4K TV.

Im using this overseas (220v power) to watch DVD and Blueray from multiple regions (US, Europe, Russia, China). So far it plays everything and movies look pretty good. My only issue is it has no audio out so I cannot hook it up to my bad ass HiFi system and have to listen to movies over the crappy TV audio speakers. I guess this is my problem not the players, I should have looked at the specs first. Now do I upgrade my old HiFi to one that accepts HDMI or buy an OPPO? Update: Unit stopped responding. If I unplug ans plug it in again several times it will start working but then becomes unresponsive again after one movie. Now its just a black plastic brick. It also refuses to play about 20% of discs.
