Item came in a fast shipping. I have had the item for a few days now and I haven’t noticed any problems that I see from other reviews. UHD player loads very quickly and very silent. I get better picture quality and silent sound then my Xbox one X which doesn’t play some 4K disks. I have this UHD player set up with my LG OLED C8. I was say my only complaint would be compatibly with the LG. I wish I can use my LG magic remote controller the player. Item still received 5 stars because that’s my fault and I knew about this before purchasing the item.

This UBP-X700 is replacing an older BR DVD and I was pleased to see the X700 is much smaller than the seven or eight year old Sony BR DVD. Receiver is HDMI, but not compatible with HDCP and 4K so I routed direct to LG TV and used an older HDMI cable to pass the audio to RCVR. Works great. I am also quite pleased with the small uncomplicated remote. Sony chose a nice slippery finish coat, which is easy to wipe dust off. Hate those rough coated units.

I bought this for two reasons, I really enjoy sony products. The other is the ability for it to decode atmos for my home theatre. Works great.

What can I say, it does what it needs to, nothing fancy. Smart features and file browsing seem outdated. The buttons are at the front and super sensitive, so you’ll find yourself accidentally turning the unit on or ejecting discs often.

My Samsung bluray player stopped working and didnt work on anything but bluray movies. This Sony player plays all of my DVDs with a super sharp picture.

I do like Sony 4K Ultra HD Blu Ray Player, it works just fine. Upgraded to a 4K tv and my samsung blueray player wasnt compatible to the new tv.

This player is a joke picture quality is terrible and I bought two 4K movies and I have the Sony x930e it was a true disappointment I would next time stick with just a Blu-ray player
