As others have said, it needs a LED to show when its on! The simple addition of a 2¢ LED would make all the difference in the world. It has Ethernet, but no wifi, so if you want to use it for streaming video, you must be hardwired at your TV, or else buy a WiFi-to-Etherned converter. If all you do is watch DVDs, its more than adequate, though. Mine did not show up with the promised HDMI cable, but the vendor promised to ship one separately, and it arrived a few days later.

A little disappointed in this item. It works ok but looks very cheap and not very sturdy. Glad I dont have teenagers around to use this because I doubt it would stand up long to what my sons used to call "product testing".

Keep in mind that this DVD player can connect to the internet ONLY WITH A WIRED CONNECTION to your router. This means that the Apps that are included on the player will NOT operate unless you have a wired internet connection. Also, you can’t update firmware on the player unless you have a wired connection or you load onto a thumb drive and stick it in the front of the player. Essentially, if you do not have a wired network connection, this becomes just a DVD player and nothing more. For a bit more money, there are a number of WiFi DVD players out there that will give you more bang for your buck. I never tried the DVD player, so I can’t say anything about that feature.

Connects to Netflix, amazon, and you tube. I like how it will continue onto the next episode when youre binge watching netflix. Love how it will do subtitles on Netflix. The only problem weve had with it is every once in a while it will decide to freeze and we have to reach behind the tv to umplug it and plug it back in would get five stars if it didnt do that.

This is difficult to use, Cannot tell if its on or off. Constantly, tells me "no internet connection". I have changed out the HDMI cord, and it still did not solve its many problems. I had a Samsung Blu-ray that worked for about 18 mos. But it did not have these problems. It just quit after 18 months
