If you already have a smart tv or just need a cheap "dumb" 4k player, this is perfect for you. I tested it out on both 4k and bluray and works great. As an FYI, the remote is small and keys arent backlit. So, theres a greater chance of misplacing it. Keep the remote in an open location when not in use and you should be fine.

GREAT quality at a great price. I read the reviews before buying and if all youre looking for is a quality 4K HD blue ray player for your videos---not doing anything via the internet), this is the best value! We purchased the Jurassic Park Video 4 PK, not realizing it was 4K Ultra HD Blue Ray. It would not play on our old blue ray player. So we purchased this one. VERY user friendly, amazing picture quality---at a great price. I highly recommend this product!

In the age of smart tvs i was INTENTIONALLY looking for a unit without streaming capabilitys. It plays 4k blurrays and the menus look modern and wouldnt look out of place in a high end av setup. It has one hdmi that handles all video and multi channel audio. My only complaint is that the remote is VERY SMALL, it is about 3/4 of the size as a north American outlet wall plate. But it gets the job done. I should also mention it can stream video from a local media server like a plex server, although this can only be done thru a wired connection.

I have owned a Samsung 4K television for over a year now but have been holding out on buying a 4K player. I saw this, saw the mostly positive reviews and despite being skeptical that it was good (due to low price) I took a shot. Well I wish I didnt. I hooked this up to my television with Tera Grand HDMI Certified 2.0 Cable, 4K Ultra HD 2160P at 60Hz cables and was expected to be blown away by the 4K. What I got was something that looked more like a blu ray movie. Even my dad, who really doesnt notice the differences, could quickly tell we were not watching a movie in 2160P. The colors were dark, not vibrant at all. The movie was Skyscraper. After watching the 4K Ultra HD version I popped in the blu ray and it looked 100% the same. Did I do something wrong in hooking this up? I plan on returning it, spending more for a Samsung

Wanted a simple BlueRay player that would play old DVDs and disks recorded on the computer. It only plays commerical disks as far as I can tell. I tried a number of different file formats and it just will not play them. Disk or Thumb Drive just will not recognize a ton of file formats. Here is what the manual says it will NOT PLAY: The following discs will not be played back on this unit. • CD-ROM • CD-I (compact disc-interactive) • DVD-RAM • VSD (video single disc) • DVD-audio • video CD • HD DVD • SVCD • SDXC memory card • microSDXC memory card • unfinalized disc • BD-RE (ver. 1.0) • BD-RE (ver. 2.1) (Recorded in BDAV format) • BD-R (ver. 1.1 / 1.2 / 1.3) (Recorded in BDAV format) • BDXL™ • Blu-ray Disc™ / DVD / CD / USB memory stick / SD memory card containing DivX® files • Blu-ray Disc™ / USB memory stick that contains AVCHD files • Blu-ray Disc™ / DVD hybrid disc (played back as a BD-video only) • DVD-RW/-R recorded in non compatible recording format • Super Audio CD - Only the sound on the CD layer can be heard. The sound on the high-density Super Audio CD layer cannot be heard. • Playability of dual discs is not guaranteed. • This unit cannot play back the disc content protected by Windows Media™ Digital Rights Management (DRM). • Attempting to play these discs will display “Disc not supported”. It will play JPEGs and commerical disks beautifuly. It does a great job on upscaling DVDs. That is about it though. Not worth sending it back for as cheap as it was. I will probably end up getting an LG UBK80.

Player works fine but does not support Dolby Atmos. I bought this player a few months ago. Recently upgraded my audio system now have Atmos and DTS-X. Tried playing new Mission Impossible disc with Dolby Atmos soundtrack, does not decode .Only plays basic Dolby surround. Bought a new LG 4k player works fine now have Atmos. BTW Atmos is that good. Slight improvement in picture with 4K but Huge improvement in soundtracks and music with Atmos and DTS-X.

Worked ok, but stopped playing discs after less than 4 months. Has a 1 year warranty, but I cant find any authorized service centers.

This product is just what I was looking for. No smart functions at all, just a small compact 4K UHD Blu Ray DVD Player. This unit plays back excellent quality video and I cant complain about anything,

This does what it says, plays 4k BluRay movies, it does not have any apps or WiFi, My smart tv has all of that in it already This also does a great job at upconverting you u 1080P movies as well. If you just need a player that just plays 4K movies and dvds/Blurays then this is the player for you. I will buying another one of these in the future to put on another 4k TV.

I was excited to use this player after reading mostly positive reviews. I had my DVD ready, opened the box, and prepared to set it up. Then come to find it does not include a HDMI cable to connect to the tv! For $60 you think they could include that, or at minimum, advise clearly in the product header or description that it didnt come with one. Now I have to wait a couple additional days for the cord I just purchased to arrive. I wanted to post this as I did not see anything in the reviews or FAQs, or even in the product description telling of this being not included.
