Took this device out of the box and proceeded to get it set up. Cables and power supply were straightforward enough. This product is extremely light, and the remote is the same in my opinion. In order to stream, you need to set the device up with your wifi info (password and such). The first pain of annoyance was with having to use the small up,down,left,right arrow buttons on the small remote, then hitting enter every time I needed to select a number or letter for manual input and set-up (which had to be done for EVERY streaming app i wanted to activate). The second pain of annoyance was finding that the small, light weight remote seems to have trouble transmitting to the device after set-up was complete ( there were not object between path of remote and device that should have interfered, all wide open space and device was on shelf totally unobstructed). The third pain of annoyance was finding that the device COMPLETELY FROZE on the FIRST USE halfway through the second show we were watching ON HULU. The fourth and final pain of annoyance was being UNABLE TO RESTART ( with remote or power button on device) WITHOUT PULLING PLUG. I had to pull the power cord to get this device to power down and restart. My boyfriend had bought this without consulting me, so I didnt read the reviews that point to freezing up being a regular issue with this device. We both work full time and didnt set this up right off when we received it so pretty sure we are outside return window. Going to look into a Roku or Fire Stick ( which is voice activated and a third the price with better reviews). We have not put a dvd or bluray in this device, since we primarily just stream what we watch. So I cannot speak to that portion of the device performance, but the reviews seem to reflect favorably on that front. But for our needs (streaming HULU, NETFLIX, and PRIME V) this was definitely and unsatisfactory purchase.
