This Blu-Ray Player has a version of the software that LG does not support, so if you buy it be aware that you will not get any support. The vendor MULTISYSTEM-ELECTRONICS also does not reply to messages sent through the Amazon platform. I was unable to watch a region B disc, so I contacted LG. They told me to reinstall the original software to try to see if that would work. It did not. I also contacted MULTISYSTEM-ELECTRONICS through Amazon. At the first contact, they told me the magic sequence to type on the remote to be able to watch a region-B disc, but when I told them I needed the software patch again since it was removed through the LG support call, they never replied. Bottom line, do not buy this if you want a really region-free player. Youll be able to play all region A-B-C- discs (like the ones you buy through Amazon.co.uk), but not the ones that only have one region on them.

I purchased this because of the LG brand. My mistake! The first one keep carping out so as well as the replacement one. I would not buy another LG product again.

This player is great for international families. For the last five years our family watched Japanese and American videos on a Japanese PS2 and American DVD player, but now we watch everything we own, including Japanese and American Blu rays, on this one machine! Works great and saves tons of space in our entertainment center.
