Xerox WorkCentre with Cyan, Magenta , Yellow and Black Standard Capacity Toner Cartridges

I love this printer. Its in my office and runs very quiet. Takes a bit to wake up from sleep. There are a lot of features I havent used but eventually Ill set them up. Im using this with an iSeries (AS400) server which was easy to set up because I have other Xerox WorkCentres configured to it. Also using this with Windows Server 2012, Win7, 8 and 10 machines. Windows 10 was a bit difficult with it at first, but its Microsoft ... what can you expect? After fiddling around with drivers the W10 PC finally go going. Havent had it long enough to determine ink usage and value but so far it seems quite acceptable. I do wish the primary paper drawer was larger. Its a pain having to refill it so often. Its designed to be an office printer, put an acceptable size drawer in it so people can be more efficient with their time. UPDATE June 2018 ---- Purchased a 2nd printer in 2018. Nothing but problems with this one. Immediately after the return window closed we had to have Xerox come and replace the fuser. Not 2 weeks later Im waiting for them to come out and assess the problems with documents getting stuck in the ADF BEFORE they get more than 2 inches through. Xerox wont replace the printer. They prefer wasting resources replacing parts.

Outside of the factor of setting up the ability to scan to a networked pc folder “smb”, this is a great product that delivers on every mark. I know my way around computers and networks, that being said this scan to folder was a very frustrating event or should I say events. I was just about to send it back when I finally found a way to make it work for our situation. Still not ideal, not able to just hit the button on the printer and find the folder I set up properly in the system and be done. I have another one that is setup exactly the same way and it has no issues at all????? Anyway, the other functions and capabilities allowed me to overcome this shortcoming and although I have to scan it from my pc system it really isn’t that big of an issue since it is directly in arms reach of my pc. It is a top notch, quality product and well beyond the price paid. If you purchase with the priority of its use to scan as we do, read the online manual thoroughly and when things don’t work anyway lol, make sure to go back to their site and troubleshoot your specific issue, they have many different work arounds and eventually you will find the one that works for you.

Navigating to the web page for the printer just doesnt work in google chrome browser. As soon as I switched to Microsofts internet explorer or Microsoft Edge browser, all of the login, and navigation worked great. I took one star off for the chrome issues. Besides the weird browser issues, the rest of the printer has been fine so far. I set up the printer to use a godaddy.com smtp server so I can scan a document straight to email. I love that feature. Printing has been fast and crisp. I have the printer wired into the home network. Driver installation is easy using the xerox smart start. So far Im happy.

I thought that this printer was supposed to be energy efficient, but I have my doubts. It does go to sleep quickly so that might save power, but when its powered up it seems to really suck power. I replaced an HP Laserjet printer by this one and when I plugged it in to the same plug, the lights flickered and my my UPS kept flipping on and off. I put it on a new circuit with nothing else on it and it still makes the lights flicker a little bit. This doesnt seem right.
