As good as my 3880 which it replaced. The offer of $350 in rebates made up my mind to buy this printer while the offer was available. Im getting some great results from this printer. I recommend it to anyone who has had good results with Epson printers in the past.

Ran into a software glitch with mine, and got help from Epsons chat line. Found out that my machine had a serial # that "After checking, it appears that this printer registers as an international unit. Unfortunately, we cannot honor the warranty on it if it were to experience a hardware issue." Tech said to ask for serial number before buying and checking it on the Epson site: " We ask that you get the serial number from the seller, or purchase from an authorized US dealer by using our dealer locator on the products page" Hope this helps.

I purchased this printer in April of 2016. I can say with out a doubt "The P800 is simply the best and easiest photo printer I have ever used" From loading larger size (13x19 and 17x22) sheets, to smaller 8x10s its a dream and easy to do. And as far as the Colors go it doesnt run through them as much as you would think. (that may be because of a updated print profile Epson sent after I first registered the P800) And the colors cant be beat. I spent the full $1,200 on this printer, no discount, no $300 refund, and I did regret the price But after I Used it I started to realize just what a good printer it is. If my p800 died today, I would shed a tear and plunk down another $1,200 for a new p800 (and I dont waste money) I do highly recommend the P800 if you take your Photo Printing seriously as I Do.

Be careful. I received the Epson P800 printer in what appears to be an unopened factory container. After using the printer for a few weeks I started having trouble loading roll paper, sheet paper worked fine. After contacting Epson P800 support and dealing with several people I was finally informed that the unit had a hardware issue but the serial number on my printer was not suppose to be sold in the US so Epson would not honor the warranty. Thats just great. This printer was ordered thru Amazon and sold by PRICE FOR LESS - with 100% Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed - OK, I need an exchange according to Epson but they will not deal with me. Nice going Amazon

WOW, what a upgrade from my older r2400 epson printer. Working great on the macintosh with both light room and photoshop. Suggest you take a look online and google "Epson Print Layout" from Epson you will probably need to do a google translate, but once you get it, it will make printing even easier... Using Ilford papers, and just prints beautifully... Not going to do a technical review, but if you come from the older epson printers you will be impressed how close the colors render from a thunderbolt display that is calibrated via the x-rite

I have purchased and used previous Epson printers for the past ten years, and they have all exceeded my expectations. I recently purchased this new printer to printer larger and to have the ability to use larger, thicker papers. Ive had my eye on this printer for the past two years and it should be noted that my (professional!) photographer friends all have and love this printer. Having a $300.00 rebate and going through Amazon allowed me to get the best price possible. It was at my home in days and was super easy to set up and start using. This printer is truly phenomenal and sets the bar higher than the competition. If you want superior performance and stunning prints, then this printer is youre looking for. Last, my friends, who have owned their Epson printers for over two years have had zero problems. You will not regret purchasing this printer!

Purchased from Y&C promotions. After reading reviews about the serial numbers I called Epson to check if mine was ok. They said it is not under warranty and if something is broken they wont be able to help me with it. Not even sure if the rebate will work. I ended up purchasing directly from Epson. The printer itself is great!

I bought this a couple of years ago from here on Amazon. I didnt leave a review then because of sheer laziness, but today, I just happened on this entry again and thought Id leave my thoughts. This printer has worked just fine for me. Ive made 100s of prints without a problem. I had never owned a large printer before, and heard from my friends about how temperamental others could be, but Ive never had a problem. No clogs, no trouble at all. I get these wonderful mat prints on the Velvet Art paper, the blacks are like velvet, I get comments from people who even wonder if I have painted this somehow. The only trouble Ive had is in feeding the paper sometimes, but its easy enough to peek in and ensure that it feeds right.

Got this to replace my 3800, which had the black ink clogged beyond repair. Ive been printing on this for about a week and have been very happy with the output. I typically print on satin paper, but have also used some watercolor, both of which have turned out beautifully.

Three Stars because Im sure the printer is great, but the one I received did not have a USA WARRANTY included. I called Epson with the units serial number and they confirmed that the model sold was for International sales. I returned it since it was not covered for repairs. Also, Epson offered a $300.00 rebate that I could not take advantage of because this International model was invalid. Too bad. Ill have to repurchase it at a legitimate physical store now to be certain that it includes a USA WARRANTY.
