This printer is great EXCEPT it lasted about six months. Called HP. The issue was temporarily resolved. Fast forward seven months, it is NOT functioning. HP says the manufacturers warranty is expired (albeit one month and still the same issue I was having a few months ago) and they will not replace it. I cant afford to shell out close to $600 for a printer that only lasts a year.

The printhead failed on mine (wont print black) after 18 months and of course, it is out of warranty and stupidly expensive to fix. Find something else or get the extended warranty (you will need it).

bought printer brand new and straight out of the box i get a "Depleted Cartridge" error message. Printer becomes totally unresponsive and cant even shutdown. The only way to shut it down is to pull out the power cord. so dissapointed with this product was really hoping for the best

This printer is so reliable. My favorite thing about this printer is its speed, I am able to press print on my computer and its ready a second later. The ink for this printer lasts a very long time at my office and I can always find a discount on the ink as well. This printer is fast, has fax and copy capabilities, you can copy through the glass or scan copy if you have multiple papers at once, it connects to Airprint though wifi, and so much more. Although this printer is a bit pricer than others it is worth every penny with the speed and functionality. It is easy to use and I couldnt imagine my office with out this beast.

This is the best multi-printer that I have ever had. I use it for work mainly, but sometimes on personal items. The printer quality is superb, the pages that come out are very quick and clear. You can do envelopes, legal paper, letter size most of the time. It is so easy and is so worth the cost. It is larger than what some people may want, but I really do not care as long as it does what I want it to do for work and is hassle free. I love it!!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a multi printer. It is efficient on the print and the directions are easy to follow to install the Bluetooth capabilities. I love knowing I can work anywhere in the house and get exactly what I want done.

One thing not published ANYWHERE: this printer supports a maximum of 10 network scan users/destinations. I searched high and low and this limitation is not stated anywhere. Im guessing the 577 supports more users? but it would have been nice to know this before hand. ok, just learned that you need a PageWide ENTERPRISE printer to have more than 10. PageWide Enterprise Color 556dn otherwise, great printer/scanner/copier.

We bought this printer to replace our last HP printer that was having issues connecting to everyones computers here at our office. The PageWide Pro 477dw freezes and crashes multiple times a day and must be restarted constantly. HP support has been unable to successfully diagnose and fix the problem. I would strongly urge you find another brand especially if you are a business that doesnt have time to deal with support multiple times a week.

If it printed more than one document before having to be re-booted, both the printer and PC, it would be a worthwhile printer, if one ignores the minor problems. Sometimes it will print a second document by virtue of going to "Services" and stopping and restarting "Print Spooler," but more often than not this does not work. Many other owners are experiencing this problem - check out the HP support pages - and no solution is available at HP. Two additional problems are intermittent, but equally annoying: the machine will report that it was shut down incorrectly, although it is always shut down according to the provided instructions, and conversely, the machine will turn itself on spontaneously on occasion. If you only need to print one document a day, it would suffice, but this machine is an extremely aggravating, time-wasting, expensive piece of unusable junk for my purposes. Lastly, though a minor point in light of the more serious problems, one of the supplied color ink cartridges printed less than 20 pages of mostly black pages. Six months later, still have not destroyed this nearly useless printer, but soon it will be junked - as soon as the ink runs out in the first new cartridge. Problems persist: it sometimes will not turn off without unplugging it (new); it still turns itself on at random intervals, from days to weeks: it will report that it was not shut down properly after it was shut down in accordance with the instruction; and having to reboot the computer to use this a second time, on occasion, and always having to open windows explorer to delete the old print files after stopping the background programs that keep them from being shutdown first is way more trouble than this would be worth if the printer was free. HPs advice is a joke. A software fix is required. A negative 5 stars.

Printer itself is terrific. The driver does not work with Windows 10. Theres a known issue about jobs getting stuck in the print queue that cannot be deleted and new jobs cannot be submitted. I had to return the printer because this issue rendered it useless. If this gets fixed, I strongly recommend the printer. If it doesnt get fixed stay the heck away from it

I wanted to love this printer; nice design and great features. However, it felt like buying a new car model - HP has not worked out the bugs. The first unit would not set up with either my Ethernet or WiFi networks. The official HP support guy was knowledgeable and walked me though at least two hours of diagnostics, at the end of which he suggested that I have Amazon replace it. The return process was painless and the replacement unit came quickly. I was able to configure it easily, given all of me previous experience and it worked well... for three weeks. One day, after I was happily scanning and printing, the unit went into semi-brick mode, with a minimal menu screen and no connection to my networks. The support guy was unable to reset or reconfigure the unit after trying a variety of things. So I returned it to Amazon as well, again with no hassle, for a refund. Im now shopping for a great multifunction unit from some other vendor; for a comparable price, I should be able to get something great. Ive owned a number of HP printers, and most had their irritating quirks, but this experience was just too frustrating, with too much time wasted. But my hats off to Amazon Prime; what great customer service!
