I specifically bought this printer because several helpful folks wrote in "Questions" that it would indeed add page numbers to print job. I spend quite a bit of time looking through the driver features for this option, and did not see it. Apologies if Im missing the feature. Tips would be appreciated. In any case, the reason I desperately need that feature is that Im a writer who uses Google Docs, with a book divided into one chapter per Doc, to print my manuscript I have to print each Doc/Chapter individually to maintain headers and footers, I needed a printer that adds page numbers to facilitate this process. For example, a 400 page book with 19 chapters/docs. Three stars due to hassle of trying to figure all this out, with no help from automated support at HP (the AI of a 2 year old).

WORST piece of garbage printer I have ever owned. We ordered it in June, but barely set it up a week ago. It fails to print constantly, saying "printer is offline", no matter what setting we have it on.

The transaction with Amazon was great. I wish I could say that about this printer. In my 25 years of IT, I have not seen an HP printer this bad. I bought two at the end of October, one is dead already and the other has consistent problems. Wireless connections are intermittent at best. If you need to switch back to USB because of the wifi issues, getting the correct drivers to install after the fact can be a challenge, especially for home users with less tech skill/experience. The paper tray is finicky and the toner cartridge tiny. When its running, it runs well. Keeping it running is the trick.

We have tried and tried with this printer. We never did get the wireless to work, which, you know, was the whole point of buying it. We finally hooked it up to a cable and it worked sometimes, but now it sits there, mocking us, daring us to try to print. Because it wont. After scouring the manual, trying to get support and reading endless help forums, we decided the lights are just there to be decorative and dont really mean anything. At the current moment, it is basically a lump with a cable attached to it. Next up? Landfill for you, HP Laser Jet Pro M203dw.

Ive been a dedicated "HP Only" user for many years. Purchased this printer specifically for wifi access yet it consistently loses the wifi connection. Reboot your system, try again.... works briefly then stops working. Used USB connection as an alternative and have similar issues where it just gives a message that the printer is in an error state. After using in both modes alternately just to stay functional, now the printer loses its preferences settings and goes to printing duplex. Change both in control panel or in the printing window and it still reverts to duplex after you print 2 or 3 documents. Definitely NOT the printer for reliable use.

This is my second try at an HP wireless printer. Nothing but problems. Keep getting "printer offline" messages, and various spooler errors and tells me it is out of paper when it isnt. Going online to HP support and every error has about 5 steps to try that dont work and the final one is to remove the printer, shut everything off, reinstall printer, reconnect to network and see if that helps. It usually does, until the next day, when it starts the errors again. last HP home printer for me. This one is going in the trash like the last one did. I dont need to spend an hour every time I need to print something.

The printer stopped working after three (3) months. After USB connection failed I switched it to a wired ethernet just to find out that it is not reliable as well. Specifically the printer would reboot all the time. Factory reset did not help. Called HP at 800-474-6836 just to find out HP support personnel is not trained to support ethernet connected printers. They also refused to issue RMA. Amazon apparently accepts returns for 1 month, and provides support for 2 months. Beware.

Came nicely packaged, and set up was pretty easy for me. I set it up as a wireless printer, and needed to connect a USB cable for the initial driver installation, but after that other computers in the house were able t download the driver, and then connect to this and set this on on their machines (all Windows 7 or 10 based machines) wirelessly. So far, it prints really nice, but I leave it on all the time, and I leave my computers on all the time, and this printer does to sleep after a while, and one issue Im still having is that overnight, Im guessing its wireless lease expires so the next day printers cant find it. I have to turn the printer off, and then back on, and then it gets a new address from the router, and then the laptops and desktops can find and print it to is again. Im going to try and assign it a static IP address to see if that helps fix this issue... Ill update this if that works

There is a major design issue with this printer and I cannot recommend it. After a few days the printer started printing am intermittent dark line down the right side of the page. I called HP support and after diagnosis they sent a new toner cartridge. The problem persisted. HP support then sent a refurbished printer. The problem persisted. Finally, HP support sent a new drum. The problem has returned yet again. All that can be replaced now is what I spent to buy this printer.

We have used this printer in our accounting department since Aug 2017. Yesterday (1/2/18) it started making noise and spitting out fragments of something that we cant find from where. Picture is attached - also our reports are printing smeared. We are past day of return or support so basically we are stuck with a bad printer.
