Brother Printer HLL8260CDW Business Color Laser Printer with Duplex Printing and Wireless Networking, Amazon Dash Replenishment Enabled and High Yield Toner-Retail Packaging , Black
On my other printer models you could open the cartridge door and press secure+cancel at once to reset the cartridge count. My new printer already has a low black in warking and it turns out THEY REMOVED THIS FUNCTION FROM THIS PRINTER. My other printer HL-3170CDW still has this function! However it prints about 20-30% slower. So if you want to stick with brother, then you may want to get that one instead of this one. I think theyre trying to raise their bottom line by strong arming people into not using their equipment to the amount that it could be. Brother is turning into HP!

Ive had this printer almost 2wks, printed ~200-300 pages, and so far LOVE it. Prints very fast, has auto duplexing, and colors look great! The printer is much quieter than my HP printer, and I can make it even quieter than normal using Brothers "quiet mode" (see picture). This slows the printer only slightly, but nice to have this option since Im an early riser and dont want to wake my family when Im printing. Its the quietest printer Ive used. Ive owned several HP printers over the years, but I doubt Ill ever buy another one. Ive had so many problems with connectivity, print quality, speed and annoyingly-small paper trays. (Really, HP? 150 sheet input trays??). My wife has the HP Laserjet Pro M252dw in her home office and Ive put the Brother 8260CDW in my office, replacing my HP M251dw. By the specs, my wifes HP is supposed to print 19 ppm and this Brother 33 ppm. In practice this Brother printer is EASILY 3x as fast. The Brother printer also holds twice as much paper (300 sheets vs. 150 for the HP printers). Were constantly refilling the HP printer. Even the more-comparable HP model ( HP Laserjet Pro M452dw ) only prints 28 pgs per minute and holds only 250 sheets, although I dont own that one so cant make a direct comparison. The only con for me is the bigger footprint of the Brother printer (16 x 19 vs. 15.5 x 16.5 for my wifes HP), but at this point Im so tired of constantly refilling paper and dealing with poor print quality/yellow streaks that Im happy to have a slightly larger printer. Again, to be fair, the footprint of the more comparable HP printer is 16 x 18.5, so if you want a faster, higher-output color laser printer than just the basic entry level ones, there really is no disadvantage here. I had been debating whether to buy the Brother HL-3170CDW for a while, but it was released in 2011 and I have a hard time buying 6yr old technology. So when this was released last month (Mar 17), I snatched it up. Im glad I waited, this is super fast and quiet…5 stars.

I waited to write this so I could give this color laser printer a good workout. It was purchased to replace another brand color laser that had a part fail that was more expensive to replace than to purchase a new printer. This Brother printer has proven to be a wonderful printer. We use Apple products (27" iMac, Mac Book Pro, iPad Pro and iPhone) . These devices all print directly to the printer wirelessly except the iMac which is connected through the network. Colors are flawless and print quality and density for black and white are near perfect. I note that cartridges from various supply houses are less costly than my former color laser printer. We just finished printing (two sides) our Christmas cards using heavy Avery 8315 card stock created using Mac PAGES application. Other printers have a hard time handling such heavy paper printing both sides, but this was a breeze. I use this printer for printing legal size spreadsheets, envelopes, laser labels and correspondence using letterhead. All in all a great printer for the money and it makes all my correspondence look elegant.

Im an IT manager, and my office needed an updated printer when the drum unit and phaser went bad in our 4 year old Brother. We purchased this model, which is an updated version of our old model. Setup was easy as can be, and Windows 10 recognized the printer drivers automatically. Print quality is just as good as our $1000 Xerox, and colors are clear and vibrant. Highly recommended for Small Office use with quality and reliable printing needs.

I bought this Brother color laser to replace my aging Brother monochrome laser. Setup was a breeze and it works from all my devices. Besides the color capability, it is faster than my old printer. I would have given it five stars except for one incident. I tried to print an email from my iPhone on the patio of my house. So I wasnt near the printer to hear it work. Somehow it consumed an entire tray of paper and printed a few characters of gibberish on each page. Now I dont trust it to print unless Im at my desk or at least in the house close enough to hear it run.

Pulled it out of the box, removed all the packing materials, added paper, and plugged it in. Within three minutes I had selected my wifi network and entered the password. After that, I was printing from my iPhone with essentially no further setup. Setup on my Mac took about 15 seconds. Printing has been swift and trouble-free, which is a welcome departure from the HP printer this replaced. Only gripe so far is that its a bit noisy.

We purchased this for our small-business, to replace an older Brother machine. I have to say, this was by far the easiest printer I have ever set up! This installed instantly on a Windows and a Mac machine. No disc, driver downloads, etc. Perfect!! I couldnt believe how crisp the printing is, or how easy this is to use. I also love that it has Air Print!! I am so glad we chose this machine and I highly recommend it.

Prints like a dream. I had an Epson all in one. It was a nightmare from the beginning. This thing is CRAZY user friendly. Didnt even have to figure out how to hook it up to my cell phone or give it all kinds of permissions. Presto, I can print from my phone. Also love that the paper comes out on top and stacks itself. The Epson shot out the side. Great. When youre not there, its all over the floor, tray notwithstanding. DO NOT BUY AN INK JET! Lesson learned.

I purchased the Brother HL-L8260 CDW color laser printer in July 2017. I did use it mostly during 2017 and 2018 where I probably printed around 23, 00 pages or so. During 2019, I only used it to print in black and I only printed the remaining 7,000 pages this year. Anyhow, the printer is quite fast for single pages and somewhat quick in duplex mode. This is a very reliable printer and in a business environment it will not let you down. The only recommendation that I can give someone is not to buy non name brand color toner cartridges. They may work initially in the printer but then you will find toner all over the rollers inside the printer. For some odd reason, the non name black toner cartridges do not have that problem. That is probably why I only used black, because it was very inexpensive to do so ($20 for a TN433 type). Right now I am at the point where I will need to replace the drum (where the toner cartridges sit inside the printer). It is supposed to last about 30,000 pages. Amazon has it for $140, so I will probably make that purchase soon. I was printing in color once in a while but I did not like how pictures looked. I ended up purchasing an ink jet printer to handle pictures. Finally, do not attempt to move this printer around by yourself. I would have 2 people do it and someone who does not have a bad back. This printer is heavy so be careful. I plan to continue using this printer and hopefully it will give me many more years of use. Update (April 18, 2019) I forgot to mention that I have not had any problems printing from my IPhone or IPad. I am able to find the printer and print what I need to. If you do a search using the following "Apple AirPrint list" then you will find the list of printers on Apples website. The Brother HL-8260CDW is on their AirPrint list. I did see another review where that person had difficulty printing from their Apple device. A few of my Apple devices are a few years old but they do have the latest IOS installed (as of April 18, 2019).

This product boasts a 33PPM color print speed. COMPLETELY FALSE. When a print job is sent to the printer, it power surges so hard that the meter on my APC XS 1300 Back-UPS drops about 70% and it takes 15 seconds for the job to start. Every 4 or 5 pages it stops printing for 15 seconds, then starts printing again. It prints 9PPM max. I have updated the firmware, the drivers and software are all up-to-date. So, I thought I should upgrade the memory. I have been 100% unsuccessful finding any support information regarding the stock memory and if it can be upgraded. I am tempted to return the product and will be notifying Amazon of my dissatisfaction with the product.
Make sure this fitsby entering your model number. Upon activation, the Amazon Dash Replenishment service measures the toner level and automatically orders toner from Amazon when low. This ensures that you never run out again. Fast, business quality printing at up to 33ppm color/black Brother Genuine TN433 High Yield Black toner cartridge Delivers crisp, professional color laser output with 4,500 page yield.
