Good printer but setting the unit up on a wireless network was difficult. Unit would connect to the network but computer said it was off-line. Tried multiple solutions. Finally got it working by letting Microsoft Windows install the driver instead of Brother.

Realmente cumple con lo prometido, pero su calidad de imagen es opaca, puedes ir al panel y poner mas intensidad!

Nothing but problems with this printer since the beginning. First, it didnt ship with black starter ink cartridge. The machine cannot be used or set up without the starter ink cartridge. Took a while to figure this out, but finally got them to send the starter cartridge. Of course, it doesnt last long so I quickly ran out of ink. I went to three local stores to find replacement cartridges and NONE of them stock this particular variant. Had to order online. When the ink showed up, the nozzles on the printer required cleaning. The unit consumed the entire cartridges - ALL OF THEM- to clean the nozzles. Again, no store locally carry the cartridges so I had to order online and wait. Software doesnt work properly. There is no way to toggle of duplex printing. Brother Support only points me toward online documents that I could already find myself with a quick Google search. The guidance documents dont help because I can get to a check box to turn off duplex printing. Tried downloading new drivers, and still cant change settings. The display interface is not intuitive at all. Scanning software didnt install with the driver. Contacted Brother help/support and it takes weeks for a response and they are not helpful. The machine is huge and heavy. If they cannot help set this thing up properly very soon, Im ready to trash it and start over. I rarely regret a purchase so much. This one, has been very regrettable - expensive, big, doesnt work, and poor support.

This printer is getting some mixed reviews, so I thought it was about time I weighed in. I own this printer. It replaced an older, discontinued Brother. First, the good (as compared to the model we replaced): Completely wireless from every MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad. Two sided printing. Large paper tray. Legal Size paper compatible. Easy to read LCD and Scans/Faxes/Prints very well. Prints fast...really fast. Second, the not so good: Large...really large. I was shocked at the size. This machine will not sit on your desk. (Unless you dont have any intention of working at it, or work in a HUGE office with a HUGE desk. I had to place it on a designated glass computer desk. Im ok with it because its in a dedicated office space in my home. I havent done enough color printing to make a legitimate comment, so that information will come later. IF you have the space, I can recommend this printer. Update: My wife just began a doctoral program and the ability to print a lot is vital. She LOVES this printer.

Works great. Could not seem to get it to connect wirelessly, so I just connected it with a cable to my computer tower. Other than that issue set up was a breeze. Someday when I have more time to "mess" with it I might try to connect it wirelessly again, but for now it fills my needs. It prints a lot faster than the antiquated HP I was still using (which I really still liked, but cartridges were getting too expensive) and so far has not had a print error message during a print run. I really do not use my printer heavily so I havent experienced any quirks it might have. I believe it will serve me well Brother came highly recommended by my printer gurus and so far it seems they were right. So far very happy with the printer Will probably never use it as a fax so have no experience with that.

We’ve had this all in one for about a year now and we are very pleased with the performance & ease of use. On screen function both on the printer & on your computer with installed software. We have had Brother products before and the longevity & performance and capabilities are worth every penny. The ink is a bit pricey when purchasing Brother Brandi but we have found none Brother ink/ a generic brand and has worked well for our needs.

brother printers used to be known for accepting cheap ink. well no more. I have been using Brother MFC printers for more than 20years. and the reason I buy Brother is because Brother unlike other manufaturers would allow their printer to use cheaper aftermarket ink. well i guess they caught me this time. they have put some feature on this model that I cant use the other ink. Expensive paper wieght.
