I now have three of these monitors mounted to my desk using a Mount-It! Articulating Single Arm Computer Monitor Desk Mount for 27-Inch Monitors (MI-751) and a VIVO STAND-V002 Dual LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Heavy Duty Fully Adjustable Fits 2/Two Screens up to 27" (while the mounts are sold under different brand names, they are from the same manufacturer). I started with just one monitor to hook up to my laptop, then decided a second one would make life even better, and completed the set-up with a third monitor so I can have multiple documents open at the same time. The monitors are connected to my laptop using the Anker Dual Display Universal Docking Station with DVI/HDMI (up to 2048 x 1152), Audio, Gigabit Ethernet, 6 USB ports (2 USB 3.0 + 4 USB 2.0), 38W Adapter, Supports Surface Pro / 2 / 3 and more , which is brilliant. I went with three of the same monitor to more easily match display colors and brightness with each other. Two of the monitors have been in near constant use for over a year and a half, and the third monitor for 6 months, and all still work great and with no pixel or any other issues. If not for the build date printed on the back of the monitor, I couldnt tell which is the newest or oldest. I do a lot of work with text and spreadsheet documents as well as video and photo editing, and they provide a crisp, clear display. Streaming videos look great on these monitors. I have not calibrated them since I dont edit photos to that degree and I keep the brightness down anyway (as I have three of them facing me all day), but they were as easy to match color and brightness as I had hoped. I use a separate audio system at the desk so I cant comment on the speakers (I continued buying this version of the monitor with speakers only to guarantee screen color matching). Ive been very pleased with these monitors.

I bought this monitor after doing some research about monitors. Ive been "messing" with computers since 1993 and the Viewsonic brand has always been a solid name in monitors. This one doesnt disappoint ... at least in my humble opinion. The screen is sharp and bright ( a bit too bright, I had to turn down the brightness a bit). Has good side to side viewing angles(Ive looked at it from the extreme angle and the picture is still sharp, bright, and full of color). With its 5 ms refresh time and 60 mhz response, it might not be the ideal monitor for gamers. However, in the games I play (mostly strategy and city building titles like Cities Skylines, Planet Coaster, Banished and so forth) performs quite well. Viewsonic does make some gaming oriented monitors, but this one fits my needs quite well. All in all, I would recommend this monitor. Its worth every penny of its price.

Love this 27in LED monitor! Working great and looking great since first plugged in. This is my main monitor...center in a 3 monitor array..flanked by 2 Viewsonic 23in monitors. If the smaller ones go out, Ill replace with a 27 like this. Surely would buy again. Replaced am older LG LCD that quit. (Pics to show array...had to block the work out :-)

ViewSonic VA2359-SMH 23" IPS 1080p HDMI Frameless LED Monitor I am totally pleased with my new monitor. The display is vibrant and sharp, and I can view it from any angle. My first ViewSonic monitor was a monster in terms of size and footprint—this was almost 25 years ago—but it enabled me to do the fine graphics needed for my work. I am glad to see that ViewSonic still offers a quality product at an affordable price. I paid MUCH more for my first one, and it didnt have anywhere near the display capabilities of the current model. Ive been using the monitor for 5 months now, with no issues or problems.

This was to be a second monitor to go with the ViewSonic VA2702w I purchased in 2010, that still looks great and works fine. The newer monitor is not near the quality of the older monitor. The display looks as though you are viewing it through a thin film of slightly white plastic sheeting. Tried to adjust it without success, still no comparison to the older monitor sitting side by side with the same picture displayed. I moved it to another computer at work, the duller display is not noticeable as a stand alone monitor. But side by side the old monitor has brighter colors and crisper picture and the newer monitor could not be adjusted to match. The speakers are absolutely horrible, I did not intend to use them but tried them out, they have a tinny sound like I remember the handheld transistor radios of the 1970s sounded like.

This is for the VA2759-SMH 27". I order the 23" by mistake and reorder the 27". The 23" I didnt like and tried to cancel the 27" but I miss the cutoff. I decided to go ahead and try the 27" inch and love it. If youre thinking of buying make sure you get the 27". The best monitor I have ever had. I have 3 24" Samsung on my desk at work and 2 Dell 2415 and 1 VA2759-SMH ViewSonic. I also just gave my son my ASUS VH238H. Again this is what I have own in the last 3 years. I have own many over the years.

Monitor not recognized by 2 different desktop PCs (a brand new Dell XPS running Windows 10 Pro and an older system running Windows 7 Pro) after multiple attempts to load drivers. Image slightly blurry / soft and the coloring was off despite my best efforts to tweak settings via both the monitor itself and the OS. Gave me a headache. (My old HP 2311x monitor works perfectly on both systems.) ViewSonic tech support said it was my display adapter - its not, that works perfectly with other monitors. Dell tech support had no answers, and told me "Just use your old monitor." Sadly, that is what I must do for now. Research on forums revealed that ViewSonics dont always play nice with Windows 10. This one didnt like Windows 7 either though. Perhaps I just got a defective item. Sent for refund. Disappointed as I have had good luck with ViewSonics in the past. Also - FYI - this product only comes with a VGA cable. I did like the stand though.

This is a pretty good picture, nice and bright and clear. I got it for a temp monitor for a trip, a "burner". For ports you get old school VGA or HDMI - no DVI nor Display Port / mini DP. VGA cable is included, but HDMI is NOT included; thats fine as long as you plan ahead. If youre using VGA, they include some type of cable to route the sound, though I didnt try it. If using HDMI, I can confirm that sound does come through the monitor (assuming your laptop supports that; Im on an older Macbook Retina) The speakers are absurdly tinny, think 1970s transistor radio, and it sounds like its coming from some vague point way behind the monitor. Since Im using it as a monitor I dont mind, but just be warned. For any movie watching, plan for other speakers or headphones; TV news would be passable. The monitors snap on base lets it pivot up and down, thats it. For left and right, you can move the base. And no portrait mode rotation on this budget model; I might suggest one of the Dell monitors if you want that. Although the mount and base are "plastic-y", in the short term thats actually not really bad; you can quick snap the base on and off Not sure theres any VESA mount options, I didnt really check. The packaging looks decent; Ill be using the original box to send it back home. Monitors that get shipped around a lot may eventually break, so I tend to buy cheaper ones. This one doesnt look any worse than others in that respect.

Update: The color problems I was experiencing were related to the default drivers for this monitor being incorrectly configured. Even the drivers on the ViewSonic site are incorrectly configured. This monitor was using RGB Limited mode by default, even after resetting to default using the monitors OSD. This can be fixed inside Nvidia/AMD/Intel Control Panel software. Nvidia Control Panel: Under Change resolution, set output dynamic range from limited to full AMD Control Panel: Under Pixel format, set from Limited RGB to Full RGB. Intel Control Panel: Under Quantization range, set to Full Range. Original review: If you just want a cheap monitor and price is more important than color accuracy then this is a definite buy for you. This monitor is IPS but not a good IPS. They advertise "ultra-wide" viewing angles but the viewing angles actually very narrow. So narrow that you must be sitting directly in front of the monitor and at least 3-4 feet from the monitor. Also, color accuracy is poor and colors are washed out, especially yellows, oranges, and some reds. Last but not least this monitor has horribly bright blacks.

I have two of these on a pole stand hooked up to my Mac Mini (2012), as part of my stand up desk. I am in front of those screens 60+ hours a week. As displays, they are just perfect. Now, if you think youre going to get decent audio out of these, I have a unicorn to sell you. The little speakers sound more tinny than a bad cell phone and the volume control embedded deep in the menu system is basically unusable.
