Had this monitor for almost an year, it started glitching out, I called Ben Q, they said cause they boast that all there monitors have a three year warranty, that because the pictures I sent them looked like it had damage it wasnt warrantied, of course i argued the point, said no there is no damage, spent almost 30 minutes having to listen to their rep tell me that most people that send in there monitors lie about whats wrong with them, long story short I will never buy a Ben Q anything ever again, their customer service is horrible!

UPDATE: Three months later (late Sept 2014) - I still love this monitor -- in fact, I just bought a second one so I can move the Thunderbolt display over and use it with my new MBP, so I will be connecting two of these to my mini. I have a Mac Mini (Late 2012, running Mavericks) -- I am using an Apple Thunderbolt display as my main display, (through the Thunderbolt port, of course,) and the BenQ monitor as my side monitor via the HDMI connector. (I mention this because there was a question about whether this display would work with a Mac Mini, so this review is mostly aimed at Mac users, although most of it probably applies to all users.) Overall, Im pretty happy with this display - for the price, it has a nice picture, no missing pixels that I can see [your mileage may vary, of course,] and reasonably attractive glossy plastic black base, with tilt control. Things I really like about it: 1) It comes with NO power or status LEDs on the front; I hate monitors that blink at me when Im trying to watch a movie. My previous monitor had an eye-searing blue power LED, you know, just in case the picture on my screen wasnt sufficient indication that the monitor was truly on. (There is a dim green LED on the side when it is powered on, but because of the shape of the screen you have to crane your head around to the side to see it, which is as it should be, IMHO.) 2) its almost exactly the same picture height as my Thunderbolt display (maybe 1/4" difference) which is a nice perq on a second monitor. 3) The combination of flicker-free display tech and a configurable blue-light reduction feature really does reduce eye strain when using this monitor. Nice. There are a few things to be aware of: not necessarily problems, but youll be happier if you know about them up front. 1) The monitor only comes with a 15-pin (VGA) D-Sub cable in the box, which is annoying in 2014 - you need to buy your own HDMI cable (you dont want to use this with the MiniDisplayPort->VGA adaptor, those adapters stink, and the colors will be crap) Fortunately, the cables are about $5 from Amazon Basics: (e.g.[...]) 2) The monitor does not seem to auto-detect which kind of cable is being used - at first this freaked me out, because my Mac detected a second display connected, but the monitor just showed a blank screen with an unhelpful no cable attached warning, and I thought something was hosed, but once I manually selected the HDMI video input through the monitors menu system, it worked fine. 3) The monitor has a low-blue-light setting thats nice (e.g. to turn down the blues while reading a lot of text on the screen, reduces eyestrain) but once you turn it on (easy to do) its tricky to turn completely off: theres one menu to select what percentage of blue-reduction you want, but to go back to no blue reduction at all, you have to go into Picture Advanced->Picture Mode and re-select Standard. (Then again, the default 30% reduction looks nice, so I may just leave it there.) 4) Audio: the device does support HDMI audio output to a headphone jack, but it has no speakers, and no microphone input; this is not a problem for me, but its something to be aware of if this will be your main monitor. The headphone jack is rather inconveniently placed in the back, next to the video inputs, so its fine for permanently connecting up some speakers, but you wont want to be frequently plugging and unplugging headphones into this jack. (Mac user note: you have to select the monitor as your primary audio output device in Sound preferences to route the sound to the monitor; its not automatic the way it would be if you plugged into the back of the Mac directly.) 5) The base *does* have tilt capability, but no swivel. On the other hand, the footprint of the base is almost round, so its really not a problem to just rotate the monitor if you need it - this seems like a sensible cost-reduction.

Update: my first monitor was damaged, so this portion of my review is for the second launder I received. I find that the pictures very washed-out, too white, not too bright. There is a difference. If I put a colorful picture up on the screen it actually looks very nice. But if Im using any program that has a white background its just too white, too washed out. Its very hard on my eyes. I purchased this because of all the great reviews, but I cannot recommend it. I have watched videos and read reviews on how to calibrate the Monitor, and still I find that the picture is subpar. When I received this monitor it was damaged. There is a streak down the screen. I am waiting for a replacement, and well update my review then. Other than the damage, I find the screen to be very washed-out. Im not sure why, as I calibrated the screen and it shouldnt be that way. It causes me eye strain. Im hoping that the replacement will not have this issue, and again I will update the review Once it arrives.

Ive been purchasing monitors for the purposes of gaming and movies for over 20 years. My old monitor was 24 inches and I wanted to upgrade in size. Based on the reviews for the monitor, I felt it would be a good purchase. I was dead wrong. This is, hands down, the worst monitor I have ever owned. It is essentially crippled in low light conditions, as it cannot seems to hand smoothly going through all shades of dark greys and blacks. Furthermore, the borders of the monitor are bright, and stand out in dark scenes. Lastly, Ive recently been noticing (during dark scenes) a light white band that runs horizontally across the middle upper portion of the monitor. Complete garbage. Spend a few extra bucks on a more reputable brand.

My images are showing the BenQ monitor on the left side and my old ASUS (very basic) panel on the right side I dont understand these reviews, I must have received a defective monitor, or these people have never had anything else to sample from. Instantly as I turned it on I could see the faded, washed out colors. I began using it normally and also noticed the excessive motion blur. I tweaked the color settings and various menu settings for three days and I got it to the best it could be, that was on par with the LCD screens I used to have back in 2007... You have to turn the brightness all the way up, and the color only gets close to standard if you max the saturation and then the reds, yellows and greens look neon and ugly. This thing looks terrible next to my 6 year old basic ASUS TN panel monitor. It barely passes as an LED screen. I was not expecting much at this price range but this monitor still let me down. The contrast ratio was advertised higher than my 6 year old ASUS and that is not true at all. The blacks and greys are so badly washed out I cant stand looking at it. I have seen BenQ everywhere lately so I figured I would try them out finally, this is not a good first impression in the slightest. There is also major bleeding in darker images that is honestly inexcusable in any LED panel. This monitor will be returned and I will save up for something else a couple tiers up.

I got this monitor a few days ago for a new build following all the positive reviews on here. Finally unboxed it tonight, hooked up to my old laptop to try it out...... And its a flaming garbage heap. It is, by no means, 1080p from what I can see. I tried it on different settings and fiddled around and cannot seem to get it to look sharp. Only very bright video looks sharp and the blacks have a weird pixelated look to them. Will keep fiddling around and update if anything changes. As of now though, 100% would not recommend. I am not someone who likes 4k. I prefer 1080p....but my 6yr old laptop looks better than this. Edit: I did end up returning it. The size of the monitor with the resolution was not looking good on the blacks. After hooking it up to my new build the quality was slightly improved but not enough for what I wanted.

The monitor is nice and sturdy for being lightweight and thin. It is crafted nicely. I have tried to connect it using the HDMI and other options and it works great, just the options to adjust the vertical/horizontal positioning are greyed out and the graphics card options do not change the monitor at all when selecting them. I tried to restart, save, etc. I also cannot figure out for the life of me how to have the senseye view on the full monitor. It gives me a preview, half the monitor only. I also tried all the different monitor modes (office/game/etc) and cant find one that is easy on my eyes. I have my cheap scepter monitors that break easy, but the display works great, so I tried these thinking they look a bit better made, but now the graphics just bother my eyes. More trouble than its worth.

My initial reaction to this unit is extremely positive, especially considering it was over $100 less than the last similar BenQ monitor I purchased (which I still love and use every day for more hours than I care to admit). If it should exhibit problems down the line, Ill of course amend this position, but for the price I dont see how you could beat the GL2760H. It has all the basic functionality I need, looks great and functions as advertised. My one big gripe - and the reason for only 4 stars - is that Id love to know who green-lit the idea of putting the monitors controls ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT! This makes no sense in todays gaming environment, where people frequently have multiple-monitor setups. Thankfully, this monitor is mounted to the right of my primary monitor, so the controls are accessible, although still awkward to use. Also, Id love to see monitor manufacturers put a little more care into getting their VESA mount dimensions consistent relative to the display area. Mounted side-by-side, the displays for this and my RL2755HM are about 1/2 off, vertically. To those having issues with the brightness or "wash-out": try adjusting your Gamma (on Windows 7, this is part of Calibrate Color). This may not work with every system, but in my case once I got this set right everything just looks great.

I was experiencing horrible eye burning and fatigue after several hours of my 8-10 hour regiment behind a computer screen until I recently purchased a new PC system and included two of these monitors. What a difference on my eyes, immediately! No more burning! No more bright floaters! Feels like cool drops of refresher have been dropped in my eyes. Dont seem to have the eye fatigue problems anymore and the clarity of the screen compared to my previous is undeniable. I dont do gaming so have no idea if these do the job but for business purposes, these are the real deal at the right price point. Simply, when putting all that together, nothing beats them in my book! The adjustment buttons are soft but crisp which makes adjustments easier to make. The resolution is sharp and easy to read finer details than my previous HP monitors. The larger size screen is a surprisingly robust display of anything on display and the double monitor set-up spans 50 inches. Using these primarily for my business is so much better than before and again I must emphasize the low level of eye strain. Pros: Easy setup, clean imaging, screen turns dark at resting, adjustment buttons sooth & crisp, little to no eye strain. Cons: Cable plugins are difficult to see, no horizontal adjustment, bezel too thin on top for camera ( my Logitech monitor base mount touches screen).
