I borrowed an expensive name brand projector before buying this one. It was older but was very nice. Comparing this (1800 lumens) to that older name brand, this one comes out ahead because the screen quality seems sharper and a little clearer on the Vamvo and HDMI is no problem. Just be careful not to ever damage the 1/8" plug because its wired differently. I tried an everyday over the counter plug and no worky. You could if need be, solder it in the same configuration to save having to buy another projector, should something ever happen to the plug. And theres no words on the remote so youll be referring to the manual often early on. No markings on the buttons on the unit itself. But overall, Im very pleased with its quality and believe or not, the sound that comes from the unit. The quick HDMI and USB hook up is nice. Ill throw a movie on a thumb/flash drive and head to the party. No extra cables to worry about. And this is good enough for a living room full of people as long as theres no external noise. Dont see anywhere where the LED bulb can be changed once exhausted so be prepared to buy another until in a year of heavy using or 3 if used seldom. But for the price and quality, It will be worth it. Oh, and last tip, dont store or use unit in a very dusty area as I seemed to have picked up two specks seen on the screen. The small dust particles seem to go right through but after using in a barn high on a rafter, I noticed the two small specks. Word to the wise. Maybe a dryer sheet over the intake. But be careful, this thing produces heat out of the unit. No enough to burn but slowing the air flow just a little may or may not over heat it. Does it come with over heat protection? Unknown at this time. Ill be buying another Vamvo if I get a year out of this one. IN SUMMATION: Cheap price, not cheap quality 1/8" 3.5mm adapter not universal Sound good enough for everyday use Protect from lots of dust Project up to 10 wide Plays both 1:1 & 16:9 in perspective size Buttons not marked clearly. Learn symbols Ohhhh, and last but not least, it will play most DVDs that were copied to flash drive using copy and paste. Just find the video folder on flash drive, click on the first VOB file and sit back and enjoy.

Ordered this projector to use when camping this summer. Let me first say that it was such a hit on our first weekend camping, I had three other groups come over to find out where I got it, and one even ordered it for himself while we talked. Great value for the money! Overall, it’s a great looking unit and packaged very well (full bubble wrap sleeve) that I’ll use when storing it. Second, the setup is as easy as it comes. I’ve used now with a jump drive to play movies, and to duplicate my iPhone, both were setup and working without a minute of opening the box the first time. For my iPhone, all I had to do was plug it in and hit accept. Then whatever is on my iPhone is duplicated on screen. I used it to watch YouTube videos. It also charges your phone when it’s plugged in so you don’t drain your battery. Image quality is even better than I expected. While I wish there was an auto focus button, once you adjust it the image it stays perfectly clear. I also purchased a cheap 120inch projector screen that really improves the quality compared to using on our wall when we watched a movie in our basement. The only downfall is the image was not very bright when we used it outside and the sun was still up (probably this way for any projector). But once it started getting darker it was perfect.

I have been looking for a high-quality projector that is easy to use as well as portable and lightweight. It also needs to be user friendly enough for my autistic 13 year old son. We live in the North East and love a movie night. We specifically wanted a projector so we could utilize our large backyard. The projector came on time and was neatly packaged and all the items were contained. I read the manual all the way through which had all explicit instructions on how to operate. I played a multimedia video with direct plug and play from my iPhone. The image was clear and sound was crisp. Also note that I projected inside on my eat-in kitchen wall. It wasn’t I also projected onto the side of the house. It was a little fuzzy, but overall good quality picture. I was truly amazed at the quality of the sound. It came directly from the machine. I am a little disappointed in the remote because they have no words on it. You have to refer back to the manual. However, overall, this was worth the money. Lightweight, inexpensive, user-friendly as well as multiple input levels. I will be using this all summer and I am hoping it continues to be issue free.

Hi,This is a very nice budget (For under $100) , lightweight projector that is perfect for travel use or home use. you get basic projector function that allows you to watch movies on-the-go. With some adjusting and re position the projector , we were able to get a clear picture for the kids to watch their shows and movies. It is currently being projected to our dry wall (not a projector screen due to our budget).Very easy to set up and the sound is okay, but I plugged in some larger speakers to it so everyone could hear.Thanks.

+Pretty decently made. The plastic shell is thick enough to survive a few reasonable drops. Isnt heavy at all. +Picture quality is pretty good. Looks to be around 720p and is clear with no signs of color or picture distortion. +Easy to navigate through, especially when using the remote. Has multiple inputs, including HDMI and VGA. +One input in particular that I like is the USB device mirroring feature. It allows you to connect any mobile device and have the projector mirror its screen +It is pretty quiet when running, which is nice when you are watching something, but need the audio to be low. +My sole complaint is that the remote only works from the back of the projector, which can be very inconvenient for those of us who project from behind, as you need to get up and walk over to the projector to change any settings.

I wrote an earlier review stating my disappointment with the instructions comprehensiveness and lack of any telephone tech-support. Based on those criticisms I was impressed to see the company addressed both points and remedied both issues. Nice to see a company that is responsive to after sale customer issues. Great recovery!!

Coming in so small and compact size, I had reservations about the quality I/we would see but very quickly after setting it up on a tripod and using a USB drive with a Bluetooth external speaker my skepticism faded. The picture is amazingly great as is the many functions to fully use this projector in any type of setting you choose. The on screen menu allows adjustment to fit your needs as well as connection to any device you have. Friday night is our family movie night and thanks to this very powerful projector we can enjoy a movie theater experience in our own home. Ive use everything from the wall to sheets for a backdrop and the fully adjustable screen size fills them all perfectly. I have used it on battery alone and it gave me over 2 hours of movie time. I use an external speaker to give that theater sound you enjoy hearing. Its user friendly and easy to setup right from the box. An amazing projector and a very welcomed addition to our home video experiences.

No way to reach the customer service and hence posting it as review. The unit is good, picture quality good. Out of 5 sync USB cables, it connected to only 1. 1st issue. Also the unit hanged and did not respond to remote or manual buttons. As you can see in the video. May be faulty unit. Once customer service resolves the issue by either replacement or technical support, I will update the review! UPDATE- Please check your message inbox in amazon in 1 day as they email you personally so that you can reach them if needed. Product was indeed defective but the customer service was exceptional. I mean EXCEPTIONAL. Timely reply, courteous and accommodating customer service. Got timely replacement and they even send me a USB cable that worked with the new one so that I dont have to worry. I have already recommended them to my Friends and will continue to do so because I get a lot of amused and happy associates when they see me connecting it from my phone. Perfect product for 100$. Wish Vamvo Guys luck.

I use the projector with a Samsung tablet, and the install process was quick and easy as I just followed the install guide step by step. I got a clear image and good sound while using the USB connection and my android tablet. The remote control is accurate and precisely lets you control all its aspects. I am truly excited to use it every time we have an opportunity. I also connected the projector to my windows laptop using the provided HDMI cable, and the result was a sharp and bright image. No color fades nor imaging issues

I set it on top of my xbox to project onto my white wall and was just fine for a couple weeks, but now it can only focus on a couple inches at a time, so playing games is impossible now. Only 6 weeks of use and it goes kaput.
