This projector will blow you away! Incredibly compact (4x4 inches or 10x10 cm) and surprisingly bright! Ive used this with my living room lights on and could still use the projector, and when you have it in your bedroom with the lights off its a full blown movie projector! The images are sharp and crisp, and the short-throw of the ML750ST is INCREDIBLE! With my projector just 10 feet away by our bed this projects the ENTIRE WALL! Weve hooked up an Amazon Fire TV stick to this and now stream all our movies (NetFlix, Vudu, Prime, YouTube, etc). This has ruined my 42" flat-screen TV for me. I have also hooked up our Bose Soundlink speaker (using aux cable) and now have a fantastic experience with a tremendously huge image. I was skeptical at first that this little unit could do 200" images, but not anymore! Great quality, great value, and no regrets! It even comes in a bag the size of a school lunch box! We plan to take this projector to work meetings, volunteer meetings that we belong to, as well as hosting movie nights and generally using this on a daily basis in our room for watching movies from now on. The comfort of having an LED light source with a 20,000 hour lamp life makes this a joy to own and use without any anxiety of trying to limit its uses or worry about buying an expensive replacement bulb that will dim over time. This is truly how projectors should be, compact, long-life, and really fun to use daily without worry. I highly recommend this projector for first time projector owners and people who want to dabble with what projectors can do for you. The 720p HD image is plenty crisp at these projected wall sizes for movies, trust me, youll LOVE this projector. Now my review wouldnt be complete without any drawbacks: The file reader and system on this projector is slow - like read your USB drive for a minute or two slow. But its mini SD card reader is blazingly fast (which is an okay alternative). To use the internal storage is a real pain though, you need to have a male USB-A to male USB-A cord lying around (or buy one) to hook it up to your computer and copy files over to. It has around 2 GB of file storage internally that you can use and access from the Media menu. Video looping for backgrounds can also be annoying as the unit will display the video titles and controls for 5 seconds every time it loops the file. Ideally this unit shines while using an HDMI smart device (ie. Roku, Fire TV, Chromecast, Shield TV, etc). At least with a Shield TV or Steam Link you can stream your games and play them like never before! But as other reviewers have pointed out, the speaker on this unit (while it does work) is tin sounding and weak, having an aux input speaker handy will really make you LOVE this unit, so be mindful if you dont already own another usable sound source. If youre worried about Bluetooth the Amazon Fire TV has a Bluetooth connection pairing ability that you can use if this is a deal-breaker for you.

Optoma ML750 WXGA 700 Lumen 3D Ready Portable DLP LED Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI Port I wanted to love this projector because I am the happy owner of an Optoma HD26 and I was hoping to reclaim some space and shed some pounds when I travel. I was delighted when I read the marketing material for the ML750 which said, "Brightness, Color and Contrast ... it packs the power and performance of a full-sized projector in the palm of your hand." It does not pack the performance of a full-sized projector. It it not as bright, colors are washed out, and focus is not great. I tried several different modes, played with contrast and white levels, and never got a picture that I would be comfortable using in a business environment. If you had a dim room, could get your projector close-ish to the wall (like 6-ft), and if your deck/slides/PowerPoint didnt have graphics that relied on contrast, you would have a picture that was pretty good. It would be small-ish (4 to 5-ft wide), but it might be acceptable. If you had a dark room, image quality would be better. Fan noise, like all fans on all projectors, can be insistent at times. You can always fall back on the cool factor for this thing. It is very cool. Put it on a Manfrotto tripod and you will have the coolest gear in the room. It is much better than a bunch of people hunkered around a laptop screen, so if that is your point of comparison the ML750 is definitely something you should buy. Unfortunately compared to a full-size projector, it is not a game changer without compromise. I will continue to pack my Optoma HD26 and "wow" people with its image quality and relatively compact size (12.4" x 4.0" x 8.8", 5.5 lbs.) Sigh.

The product was great, the problem I encountered was that even though on the website, it clearly states that the wi-fi adapter is included it isnt. In trying to get some resolution from both Optoma and Amazon I have found that it doesnt matter if it is advertised that the item is included or not, if they say it isnt included then it isnt.... but they were happy to send me a shipping label to return it. What... huh? Apparently customer service has completely gone out of the window for Optoma and Amazon. Cheers to acting like a monopoly and truth in advertising!

This projector is "OK" given its small tiny size. You wont be able to focus the image properly. If you get the center in focus, the edge will be out of focus, and vice versa. For its size and price, the image quality is good enough for a quick presentation. Do NOT buy the WiFi adapter for use with this projector. The drivers arent compatible with the latest OS X, and there have been zero updates from Optoma since it was released. It used to work for me, but now I cant use that option at all. Essentially, you will only be able to use HDMI to get a signal into this projector. It claims to be able to play Office Files, Videos and images off of USB and micro SD cards. Good luck getting that to work! It wont recognize half my memory devices, and when I do find some that it recognizes, it will display half my presentation slide and images, the rest show up blank. So, effectively useless! I would not recommend unless you just plan on using purely HDMI and can live with the compromises.

Install Flash Player So I purchased the ML750ST with trepidation. Dropping $510 (it was on sale when I bought it) for a projector wasnt something I planned on doing nor something I NEEDED in my life, but Im happy I did. Okay, keep in mind, Ive only used this once so far. Last night I was cleaning my room. I set this up on my bed last night, just maybe 18" from the wall, and started cleaning my room. As you can see in the video, I had the lights on in the room and could still the image just fine. Apologies, this video was taken for SnapChat and I didnt mean to use it in my review so it shows a lot more cat than screen. I did not use any form of external audio and had no issues hearing the sound. Notes: I was alone (except for the cat) and never more than 15 away. I was watching American Horror Story so there werent any loud explosions or deep bass to account for. So far, Im super happy. I also tested the keystone adjustment by throwing the image onto my ceiling from a 45 degree angle. I was able to adjust the keystone all the way back to a perfect rectangle. That made me happy. The included case is nice, albeit super soft. Theres tons of flexibility to toss a few extra goodies in there. I currently have some extra cables and my ChromeCast in the bag. Photos included with the review. Speaking of Chromecast, it worked seamlessly. As soon as I plugged in my device it immediately began casting - no set up or input selection needed. It seems the model has changed a bit since most of the answers were posted. For audio output, my ML750ST has a headphone jack. I was able to test it using an audio cable to connect that to my speaker set. That being said, the audio from the projector itself was fine for me to watch a few episodes of TV alone in my room while cleaning. It reached across the room fine and was clear enough. Something neat that I didn’t see noted elsewhere is that the back of the projector has a spot to attach a security cable! I have one I purchased for my Macbook Pro a few years ago that just yesterday I threw into a "donate" pile…. Ill be digging that back out now to keep with this projector! It does NOT come with a manual. This may annoy some but I find it refreshing because I always scan them the first week then they end up in a junk pile somewhere. You can view the manual and save a copy to your computer at Optomas website but Ive also included in my review a few screenshots of diagrams from the manual I found useful! I also found that additional detailed specs and such are available on this datasheet at Optoma USAs website. Amazon wont let me link to it!

I rarely (if ever?) give five star reviews. To me a five star rating means the product could not be improved in any way. I have had this projector for two years now. It gets used at least once a month and has worked perfectly for what I have asked it to do. I have not asked it to project a 50 image on a wall dozens of feet away, its just not going to do that. :) But for small scale meetings and presentations it has worked perfectly. The size is perfect (very portable), its quiet... in short, I have not regretted this purchase. Ive used it on a table top (with a mini tripod) or mounted on my full-sized camera tripod. Ive used it with a number of different laptops and never had a configuration issue. It just works. If you need something brighter, youre probably going to have to go with a bigger (or at least a more expensive) model. Update 2018 I have owned this projector now for four years (bought in October 2014, its now September 2018, so close enough). It still gets used about once a month, and it continues to just work. The compromise for the size versus brightness and picture size for me is fine; I dont regret this purchase at all. Plus the fact that theyre still selling it four years later should tell you something...

I just used it for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed in the brightness. I was in a normal sized conference room that seats about 25 people. I had to turn all the lights off in order to see the screen. The only problem with that was the audience could not see me. I was like a ghost talking from the dark. We opened a door to let outside light in which helped to see me talking but my PowerPoint was still very faint on screen and barely recognizable. Overall, I am disappointed in the product. I cant return it unfortunately because the return time limit has passed. I am really not sure where this product can be used. I know others like it and I wanted to as well. The size is perfect for us Road Warriors is why I gave it 2 Stars.

Great portable projector! I travel a lot for work and am giving presentations weekly. The majority of the time I have been able to connect my laptop up to the customers projector. However, I was dragging a ton of cables with me for VGA, HDMI or other and sometimes ran into a situation where I could not get my laptop to sync with the customers TV or projector. This little guy stores in my backpack with my laptop without taking up much space. I purchased a cable with HDMI to the Apple Mini (video port on my laptop) which stores nicely in the case this projector came with. Ive used it a few times. Resolution is clear and it can be seen well even with ambient light. I have a college that bought one of these a couple years ago that is very low in the Lumens category so you almost had to have the room blacked out to see any kind of quality image. Many of the products I sell are related to Medical Imaging so Image quality is a must have. This projector has impressed everyone where Ive set it up. For the price, you cant go wrong. FYI, if your laptop has the apple mini video out port, this cable is great (light weight and just right for length): http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007RQ3J7G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00

As stated by most reviewers, this projector is amazing. I find myself using this over any of my flat screens at home, one of which I paid about 15k when large flat-screens first came out. We have lots of fun projecting this onto my 100” collapsible screen diring outside movie nights or pay-per view fights. I also use it on dj gigs (sometimes in rear projecting mode). Its still going strong considering its been knocked off a tripod several times. Whenever possible, Ill use a camera shoe to strap the projector onto a patio or I play it safe by mounting it on my light truss. My old 3000 Lumen projector is way brighter and perfect for a home theater, but I’m constantly replacing the bulb. This projector may not be as bright, but there’s no need for replacement bulbs. I find this led projector to be a good compromise as long as its playing in a dark environment. Im definitely looking into also purchasing the new short-throw model. Thank you.

I have the ML750 version of this guy, and its great for giving presentations to small/medium sized audiences in semi-dim lighting. Construction quality is certainly good for the price. I wasnt prepared for just how small it is...about the size of an Apple TV (though thicker...maybe two stacked on top of one another). Fits great in my backpack, and its light enough to carry everywhere. Image quality is acceptable with an image up to about six or eight feet in diameter. I most often use the HDMI connection, but it works with a standard 15-pin VGA as well. Paired with a Chromecast, Apple TV or similar device, you can beam presentations wirelessly from your iPad or iPhone - very convenient. At 700 lumens, its not bright enough to do big screen presentations in bright light. Some of the Epson projectors (which are way bigger) pump out quite a bit more light - this one is more for the kind of room where you can close the blinds and lower the lights if needs be. Only thing I really dont like is that the fan is fairly loud for the size of the unit - its a droning, high pitch that I just find annoying. Also, keep in mind that while this guy excels for business graphics (Powerpoint, etc), you probably wouldnt want to watch hi-def movies on it - just not that sort of image quality - so dont think it replaces a $20K 4K projector. Still, for an extremely portable and easy to use solution when you need to put a few PPT slides in front of a group, its a great option.
