TV image has a noise pattern throughout display (with or without disk) and the sound has static when DVDs are played back. I tried two HDMI cables and rebooted player and TV none of which helped. Returning unit.

Extremely fast shipping! Seller was very responsive to my issue. I must confess I overlooked the sheet with the instructions on the modification as I only saw the word "warranty" and ignored the entire sheet. However, I must also state that the instructions had to be done several times before it worked. I am not 100% sure what I did differently to get it working, but the instructions are essential. Read (and even re-read if you have to) and your system should work.

it’s tiny!!!!! great quality!!! even the tv guy hooking up our cable box was like “how did you score a region free dvd player!? AND blue ray too” - bonus for moms: there is amazon prime and youtube options. worth the price worth so much more: i’m so impressed and proud of this purchase.

Stay away from this unit at ANY cost. When the 1st unit arrived it seemed to work really well. I would have given it an A+ for the 1st few weeks. Great picture quality and the apps were cool. Then about the 3rd week the unit didnt always want to connect to the wi-fi. All the other wi-fi electronics we have operated fine so the wi-fi unit was up and running. Then the unit wouldnt power up or power down without unplugging it 1st then reconnecting. Amazon replaced it. The 2nd unit started the same symptoms after a couple months. Sent it back. The 3rd unit operated fine for about 6 months and then it too started the same glitches. If only 1 unit had done this I would feel that I got a lemon at 1st, but having 3 units and they all 3 had issues Id say Sony must have a lot of complaints. Yes I know the ratings are good but Im betting the reviews mostly were uploaded early into the usages.

It really plays Blu Rays from other regions. When I pause a disc and want to resume where I left off the next night or several nights later it only sometimes resumes where it left off. Works well, good picture, and loads faster my Sony Blu Ray player purchased the previous year. It doesnt seem to have the problems people described with the next model down Sony multi-region player

This is an upgrade from a 1st generation BR player. So much has changed. BR discs load almost as fast as a DVD. The built-in web channels are a great convenience. The picture quality is awesome, and how to use it is very straightforward. Im a happy customer. My one complaint is that the PBS channel isnt included, but I can live with that.

If you have European DVDs and Blu Ray disks you need an appropriate player. This region free player works well. For DVDs it is completely automatic. For Blu Ray the instructions indicate that there is a pre step. As I only have DVDs from Europe I havent had to try that, but based on the other unit features I am sure it will also work well.

Plays EVERYTHING, all regions. It also plays DVDs that are a bit worn out, some players wont. Its expensive but you get what you pay for. Superb picture quality. The only drawback is no A-B repeat key. So if you dont care for that feature this unit is perfect.

This product worked exactly as advertised. It plays all Region DVDs out of the box and easily sets up to play Blu Rays from any area. The initial set up is simple. Sound and image quality is very good. Money well spent!
