Had to return because didnt work. Go through setup process OK (language, wifi, etc) then put in a dvd, any dvd, spins and spins and just blank screen. Did it turn itself off?, A problem with a cable?, dunno, hard to troubleshoot because no lights or other user-visible feedback on device itself. After trying several more dvds, unplug/replug, etc concluded its defective. Got as a replacement for a different samsung bluray that died after couple years, so this is frustrating. No more samsung blurays for me. If anybody wants to recommend different brand let me know!

I thought I had purchased the wrong device then learned it should have played regular DVDs--I should have known something was wrong when there was no initial set-up as with other devices. I had to pay return postage, and should not have. I will not purchase from this seller again--I believe I did not receive a new device as advertised. I will be wary of buying electronics from Amazon and this seller. I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon and Im disappointed with this purchase and having to pay for return postage.

We bought this DVD player to replace our old one, had seen its time and was overdue for an upgrade. We bought this unit in June and have used it less than 10 times. Now it wont turn on. The only way to get the unit to turn on is to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. Any time we want to use it... now if this was a 5 year old player, ok character glitch. But on a brand new unit this is unacceptable. Better luck to anyone else who tries for a decent piece of equipment.

We bought this in mid June. Easy set-up, worked just great! In July my Mom-in-Law needed one so we ordered another (Obviously I was pretty confident in the product). Mid October sound started fading, had to turn up my amp every night to get same level. Then silence. Now three weeks later I took time to trouble-shoot and make certain just where problem is. Yep, DVD player HDMI still provides video but not audio. All other parts of system check out. Return date ended mid July. Product support ended mid September. Also is the worst possible button layout on remote. And... no way to tell any status, no little light to give us a clue if power is even on, etc. Mother In Law never could get hers going. Lost money and AttaBoy points!

Worked fine for six months. Now it does nothing. I have chatted and emailed Samsung dozens of times about getting it repaired. No such luck.

Stopped working after only a month of use. It was great until then but extremely disappointed.

I ordered this product in Feb with the hope of being able to play my Netflix and Amazon prime movies from it. The player required me to "update" but I was not able to do it as it was requesting. So I had to send it in cor repair. This whole process took about a month (all while Im still paying for Netflix). Got the DVD player back and it work3d for a few weeks and then the SAME error message was showing up. I emailed Samsung and told them my situation. They said the only thing they could offer was to "repair" the unit. So within the last 5 months, I have been without my player for about 2....this is not been a very enjoyable experience. Although samsung has offered to repair the unit again, it is a pain in the butt!!
