This worked just fine for a while. Just as advertised. But just aa bit more than 1 year after purchasing, it just quit. First the video became fuzzy, then the audio went out, then it was done. The home screen briefly lit up, then goes black now. If this had been a $20 item then a 1-year life wouldnt be so surprising. But at $80 or so, it certainly ought to last longer than that!

Product wasnt reset to factory defaults when sold and hasnt worked as well as had hoped. Often has internet issues and dont think I would buy refurbished again.

no indicator lights and I have had to reset (unplug and restart) the device several times. when its working it works great.

THE SAMSUNG MODEL BD-JM57 IS GARBAGE! The 2nd time I returned this to Walmart the returns lady said they get these returned all the time! GRRRRRR! Everything I own is Samsung. Love their products, but this P.O.S. is garbage. Here is a partial list: "Forgets" the WiFi password, not all the time, but enough to be a HUGE nuisance. Cant "see" our WiFi router, its 10 feet away and will report there is no signal, or no available internet, or it cant connect when my Samsung phone shows full WiFi bars. ANNOYING! OFTEN, I have to re-enter the router name, wait forever for this P.O.S. to find it,...THEN re-enter the WiFi password! kill!!! Sometimes plays DVDs, when it feels like it. Sometimes plays Blue Rays, often a message appears, blocking the screen telling me the Blue Ray is "pirated" even if it is from a video store or I bought it myself. Tech support is AWFUL!!! THIS UNIT IS TOTAL GARBAGE! DONT BUY IT! SAMSUNG, I have been a loyal customer for a very long time. Now I am losing fairh in you!

while setting this devise up I went into the internet setup only to find that its only option was "Cable ready." There were no Wi-Fi options on this devise, so I called Samsung support, because Ive never had trouble with Samsung products before. The lady I spoke with said that is was an older modal that must not support Wi-Fi, and she would send me a USB flash drive with the proper software. I receive the upgrade popped it into the blu ray and it downloaded fine, so I proceed to the setup feature again, and it stated the same response, it didnt support Wi-Fi. Now the box clearly displays the Wi-Fi symbol and states that it has Wi-Fi lan built in. I returned it for a Sony, well see how that goes. It played discs okay, so thats why I gave it two stars instead of one, but it sure was a lot of trouble for nothing.
