I only use Samsung devices for the excellent connectivity. That said, this thing is a piece of garbage. Couple months in it cant connect to the internet, then it doesnt see the wifi. Then it connects. Then an hour later connects to the wifi but not the internet. Ive hard reset it, changed network settings, reverted back to a previous software version and undone updates and even reset to all factory defaults and started from scratch with NO RESULTS. Its so frustrating and out of character for a Samsung product. But they definitely failed on this one.

No, no, no. Works fine as a Blue-ray player, the whole wireless connectivity issues make it useless for anything else. Ive gone through 2 units already through RMA. The same thing happens every time. This thing will act totally confused after a month or two. "Wi-Fi, what wifi?". Wont connect, acts like its lost its MAC address....just dumb. RMAing will just get you another wifi card in the unit. It will work and then it wont work. Everything else in my house connects and maintains internet connectivity but this.

This is the most frustrating piece of electronics Ive ever owned. It plays blu ray disks beautifully, However, Ive spent about 6 hours trying but it simply will not connect to wifi, while my laptop is connected to my wifi in the same room (and so is my iPhone). I bought this so I wouldnt have to mess with cables and it is utterly useless. Unless someone from Samsung contacts me in the next few days Im returning this, and after reading of the abysmal customer service on this item I will not waste time trying to contact them. Paying for this kind of aggravation is like handing someone cash to kick me in the b***s.

Hate it. It needs lights to indicate status. I cant get it to turn on or eject a dvd, thats if its really on. Ive pressed the off/on button so many times, I honestly dont know whether it is off or on. Very frustrating.

Dont buy this. Brand new and did not work after following the setup screen instructions. Contacted Samsung customer service. They offered to repair the player. But really it is brand new out of the box and they want to send a "repaired unit". No Thanks. Well find another brand.

This has been THE worst product Ive ever purchased on Amazon. We have fought with these things since the day we bought them for our 2 daughters. They are only 4 months old and one already wont turn on anymore and the other has to be reset every.single.night (so did the other one before it just died completely). Were out of the "return period" so I guess were just out of luck. Boo. I gave it a 1 star rating only because I had to give at least one. Its not really even worth 1.

The problem with this model is the lack of an off/on light. It doesnt sound like this would be an issue, but it is. With my setup i switch inputs to the blu ray player from watching on demand via my smart tv. From here i switch to my blu ray remote and power it on across the room. Is it on??? Im unsure so i hit the disc eject to see if that works, nope its not on. Now ive walked across the room to see if its the remote. I try it about 3’ from the blu ray player. Power button. Then disc eject. Still nothing. There is no way of knowing if the blu ray player is even powered on and its a huge oversight to not have a small led light on the front of your equipment to signify power/on/off. The bootup time is rediculously long as well so even if you do power it up you second guess yourself and power it down before its completed whatever it has to do to get an image to the tv. Most likely thinking about why it itself doesnt have a power light and why it keeps getting turned off before its on all of the way. At this point im using the buttons on the front which there is a power button and disc eject....to which i still cant tell if its powered up or not...there is not input to the tv and no image. To complete the evening. I took my blu ray disc out. Disconected the sorry excuse for a blu ray player and connected my xbox one from downstairs... To the original hdmi and power source as the blu ray player and bam instant image and a nice power light. I was outside my return date, so i took my annoyance out on it akin to the movie Office Space, with the printer scene. Its in about 1,000 pieces and about the same functionality as when it was whole. Avoid this pile, samsung makes beautiful cases but its all full of junk parts and performs poorly

I am very disappointed with this player, I have only had it about three months and, suddenly, I cant connect to the internet no matter what I do. I only decided to buy this product for netflix etc. I would not buy Samsung again because of this problem.

I bought this August 2017 and for 2 years I thought it was my internet connection that was the problem, only to find out it was this pos. Here is the list of problems with this player: it will not connect to 5.0ghz; only the 2.4. I mainly use it for streaming and for that, its basically worthless, reason being, it takes forever to connect to any of the apps (e.g. Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, etc). The Netflix app is horrible... by the time Ive read the movie description it has already started playing the movie when I didnt want it to and ends up in my "continue watching" section. Because of connectivity problems I have called support on multiple occasions. Today I received an email stating that my warranty has expired and if I wished to receive the "service I requested" (which I did not), I would have to pay an additional $110.00. I paid $59.99 for the player in 2017.... so thats a special kind of magic math. Its a rip off, I have been robbed. Do not buy this product.

Avoid any of these Samsung Blu Ray players. Over the course of a year I bought 2 of them and both had the same problem: it would intermittently shut itself off out of nowhere. It did this while streaming shows on Netflix, watching Blu Rays and DVDs. It started out just being really annoying, then ended up doing it so that whatever you were trying to watch was completely unwatchable.
