The player died after a few months. No power and doesnt light up. Even tried with different power supply. Poor customer support. I contacted them and they initially said they might be able to replace it, then went silent and stopped responding to my messages.

I needed a relatively cheap player to play some region B and C Blu-ray discs and, having had an LG Blu-ray player in the past that feels very cheap yet somehow has outlasted my Samsung and Toshiba players, I decided to order this one. Surprisingly, the player is heavier and feels more durable than my other LG, which was nice. Its not an eye-catcher, but its a Blu-ray player, so it doesnt need to be flashy. Inside the box were printed instructions on how to switch back and forth between regions. You just open the disc tray, place the disc on it, and press the correct region button. The disc tray closes, and wham--youre watching your disc. I have switched back and forth between all regions multiple times with zero issues and the player remains on the previously selected region until you switch it again, which means you dont have to enter the region code every single time you play a disc as long as theyre all coded the same. The remote is small, but personally I prefer them this way. Between my TV, cable box, sound system, PS4 remote, and a Blu-ray player, I dont need big monstrosities splayed all over my couch. The service from the seller was fast and hassle-free. Now I am enjoyed Blu-rays from all over the world free from restrictions. Couldnt ask for more.

When things switched to Blue Ray, I didnt jump on board, I took one eventually as a service award form work, my youngest son took it and used it. Frankly, since Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Hulu etc, we never watch cable or use the DVD library that we have built up over the years. Recently, BrightHouse networks in Bakersfield, sold out to Spectrum, and internet dies a regular death, truly almost daily for sometimes up to hours. When I tried my old DVD player, it was dead so I needed a new one. I hadnt realized before this purchase that DVDs would play in a blue ray player, but upon investigation I found that they did in fact work, I looked for a multi region player since I have some DVDs from foreign lands, that I would have to watch on a computer or Xbox etc. This player for a reasonable cost has met all of my expectations and wants in a media player, including a USB port to put in media from a thumb drive etc.

Decided to get a region free blu-ray player so I could get the much cheap region B disc of a show I love (already paid for itself). Works great! Just have to open the disc tray and put the disc in. Then hit 1 for region A, 2 for B, and 3 for C and it closes the drive and switches over to your choice. Dvds just play automatically. It seems to stay on whichever blu-ray region you choose so you dont have to keep hitting a number beforehand which is nice. I would recommend this over any standard blu-ray player. Only complaint which is very minor is the remote is super small and cheap feeling. (Blu-ray case and Xbox controller for reference.)

It works. Don’t forget to follow the instructions for blu-ray discs. Blu-ray regions are changed manually with remot control.

Since I have an LG TV, this disc player is very convenient. The units communicate through the HDMI connection - if both are OFF, turning ON disc player or loading a disc will also turn ON the TV and switch it to HDMI input. When TV is turned OFF, player will also turn OFF (even if TV has been switched to antenna input.) The remote for TV can also do some disc-player functions. DVD - tested player with a DVD coded for Regions 2+4 PAL UK. It played automatically, with no setup needed - the disc player converted the European PAL video format to US NTSC. EZ-PZ. It is assumed that all DVD regions will work. BLURAY - works OK with US zone A blurays - did not test with B or C (have none.) Disc player came with instruction page for switching to the Bluray zones B or C. This is not automatic, but can be done with the remote when needed. Save or scan this instruction page, as you will not find it on the LG customer support website ( the multi-region, multi-zone modification is after-market.)

absolutely amazing works perfect as described no need to change any settings just insert any region DVD and if the region code error should appear as it did on my PAL version of Hollywoodland as i pressed buttons 1 and 2 and 3 and would not load so on the LG quick guide at the very bottom of the sheet it will show region error (if you get region code error simply press the HOME BUTTON then STOP,STOP TWICE THEN PLAY) it will load the BLU-RAY perfectly i am very happy. and for a decent price i will buy another for my upstairs room. highly recommended buy one now you will be a very happy camper.

worked eactly twice since i got it. last night i went to watch a PAL DVD and it would show the LG splash screen... then nothing. Power-cycling, changing cables, changing HDMI ports, trying several different PAL and NTSC DVDs... nothing worked. Unit will power up and off, and open tray, but will not play anything. When contacted, the company said "Try and let i sit unplugged for several hours and see if that fixes it." Im not about to try that, as what happens next time it stops working again? Note that the company doesnt list a warantty of any sort on its amazon page. That tells you all you need to know. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLAYER. Amazon extended the return window for me and took it back, thank goodness.

I’m giving this 5 stars because it worked for me exactly as advertised. I bought this region free player so I could watch DVDs that are not available for US players, especially old BBC productions like the 1958 six part serial Quatermass and the Pit. Regular dvds play with no adjustments at all. Bluerays are very easy too. All you have to do to change it to region B is to power off the unit, then use the 2 button as the on button. Just press the number 2 on the remote and the unit powers on as region B player. Easy! I am very pleased with this product and look forward to finding more great BBC shows.

I bought a couple of DVDS that once I got them they were for Europe and would not play on my Blu-Ray player. The problem for me was that they were only released in Europe. I went on Amazon to see if thete was a multi regional Blu-Ray and this player came up. Seemed a reasonable price so I ordered it. I love this player, it plays great and is so easy to switch from region to region. I am so happy with this player, the picture is wonderful. It is funny two of the items are Robin of Sherwood a TV series from England, I found out about it from a Clannad cd I have, they did the music including the theme. The other was a movie from the late 60s Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush which was only release it England. I wanted it because one of my favorite bands has music in it including the theme, the group Traffic. Both are really good.
