I bought mine from Big Blue retailer in 2016, on clearance, for about 10% of current listed price. At the time, was running a 2.4g only router, and all worked well. After being kept in storage for nearly a year, decided to bring it out and put back into service. First Plus: It stores very well, with Toner Cartridge left in place, not climate controlled, in box to keep dust/dirt/bugs/etc out of it. I prefer my AIO inkjet, but since dont print often, got tired of cleaning printhead and such. Re-enter the M2070W. It does NOT have an ethernet port on it, there is a blank, but nothing behind it. So, only option for wireless is to use WPS or connect your computer to the DirectWireless for configuration / use. If you are running modern networking equipment, split bands, ACM, etc, this printer will give you fits. Though the inkjet is 2.4g only as well, it was able to connect to the router without issues. The M2070W however, does not. At all. The Easy Printer Setup utility tries to, but is unsuccessful. Tried to update firmware, but the USB was unusable for whatever reason. Computer would see it, but could not communicate through it. Probably timing errors causing garbage on the pages. Ended up resetting printer (make sure its on first... Then Up Down Left Right Ok Stop Up Ok is sequence), which allowed USB to come alive. Updated firmware, probably lost ability to use 3rd party toner, and still same networking problems. My solutions were: 1) Use DirectWireless whenever I wanted to print. Doable for as little as I print, but absolutely sucks with a phone. 2) Use an older router configured in Bridge Mode and plugged into main router to create a unique 2.4g 802.11b environment. It works, but is a potential security issue, additional equipment, cant keep routers too close, additional cable. Not the best, but worked. 3) My router is a Linksys WRT3200ACM using OpenWRT firmware. I was able to create another interface to Radio1, 2.4G 802.11b environment, and turned on MAC filtering just to add the printer. Works very smoothly, not sure if can do using OEM firmware. Would I buy this printer again? Perhaps. If I still had the same older network hardware, then absolutely. It works fantastic, though not sure why the USB quit working. I suspect that a bug crept into the NVRAM on the printer itself in just the right place. Knowing now the problems I went through, I cannot recommend it for a regular person to try and install onto their network. Many hoops had to be jumped through. I finally was successful, given my limited knowledge for the router and its settings. HP tech support is the absolute pits! They dont listen to what you are saying, try and introduce their own "problem" to fit yours. Just proves they are reading from a sheet. They wanted $19.99 to show me how to reset the NVRAM on the printer... The fact that HP supports it now is more than enough reason now to ever buy another one again. But, so far, this one has done great. Original D111S toner cartridge is now showing 54% toner left with 223 impressions made. So, the toner cart that comes with it is probably only rated for 500 pages or so. And I dont know yet if I am able to use aftermarket carts since firmware was updated. Oh yeah, NFC with this printer also sucks. Dont even try it, at least not with a LG V20 phone. Bad Bad Bad, but might be phone also.

This is a fabulous printer and scanner! It hooked itself up to WIFI so quickly my child could have set it up. I didnt even need to use the USB cable they kindly supplied. It works on our PC, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, Motorola Android phone, and Android tablet! Print quality is impressive. Scan quality is even more impressive! The only drawback to this machine is that, while it will print 8 1/2" x 14" (legal size), it can only scan letter size (8 1/2" x 11"). There is a model with a fax and an automatic document feeder (ADF), and the ADF will allow one to scan legal size. So if you need to fax or to scan legal documents, just upgrade to the M2070FW/XAA with fax and ADF. It does only print in black and white, but its ability to scan in color is amazing. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this unit, and I have very high standards!

I dont know why the one star reviews couldnt get this printer to work. I got mine up and printing from both my computer and my phone in about ten minutes. You simply install the Samsung software / app and run the connection through your WIFI router and youre done. Prints from both sources looked great and came out quickly. And, I love how quiet the machine is. As a side note, this review is not "verified" because I bought my printer at my local Walmart for exactly the same price.

This is a bad printer. The screen is hard to read. The functions seem to change from day to day. The feed tray is small and easily causes paper jams. Too bad my hate did not mature early enough for refund. A waste of money.
