It printed fine the first few times and is now printing with a spotty barcode. I sadly have to return it.

I’m opening up a dog bakery and I needed custom labels as well as shipping labels. The idea I had in mind for my packaging was going to cost about $2/bag of treats or I would need thousands of dollars for custom bags and boxes ordered in bulk. Since I’m just starting I didn’t want to spend thousands on custom packaging in case I change things later. This printer does everything! Aside from the obvious shipping labels, it only costs about 1 CENT per label when you buy the rolls in bulk. This is the most cost effective I could have possibly hoped for for my packaging. It prints extremely fast too! The one downside is that my labels have to be black and white, but the fact that I never have to buy ink is totally worth it. I also wish I could find thermal labels in many other sizes. I just ordered round ones to print my logo on. I’m so happy with this printer!

Came not sealed, used, fingerprints all over it, crumpled packaging inside box, weird white flakes all over power cord, small hairs inside and the label already printed in it is printed crooked. Not even sure if it is supposed to have a prepritned crooked label inside it but it does. Update after using for a few weeks, would never recommend this. Too many blank or white spots where black should print. Yes I cleaned it with the alcohol pads and no, no new printer should do this. Contacted seller, they do not care.

In the past I used UPS and had one of their company issued printers....fast forward and I sold the business and I do miss it. I have been using the typical print on paper and stuff it in a sleeve or tape it down with a bunch of packaging tape.....I never liked the result. I currently use FedEx online and although you need to print a bit differently with this thermal printet....it works all the same. It is nice to print a label and just be able to stick it on the box....no fuss and it works out to about 2-cents per label and I waste a lot less time. So to print the first time setup took about 5-min but after that I can now print a label in under 20-seconds once I click ship and the label pops up on the screen. Before I was into it for a good minute....so to save 30-40 seconds per package is a lot of time per day. Plus you cant beat the professionalism of a 4x6 thermal label! The unit is compact and I did buy their label holder that can hold the rolls or the folded stack. I started out with the roll.

Incredible. Well built and simple design. Sure it lacks a dedicated roll holder, but it is available for the smaller print needs where a roll is needed. I used this over a zebra or dymo because of the Mac support. I was able to design my own label on AI sized to my particular label. And print using the Roller settings in seconds. It took me about 20 wasted rollers to tinker but instead of 1.25x2.25 printing off, I switched to 2.25x1.25 and bam perfect printing. I printed over 1500 UID stickers with custom design elements and I am impressed! No jams. Clogs or performance issues or heating. I noticed around print 900 the head was smearing like 1%. Once the roll of 1000 was finished, I waited for the unit to cool, then wiped print head with iso. Loaded up new roll and printed with zero issues. I am super impressed. The speed, flexibility, and overall quality is great for mass labeling needs when running a business. A+ support with a very simple yet informative website. Very very very impressed today. Using my brother inkjet to print out terrible dpi labels, cut them out takes me nearly 12 hours out of every week during heavy fulfillment stories. I handled the needs of the full week in 3 hours flat.

First of all, I’m not an all caps type of person. “It’s too expensive”I used to think. 1- I sell hundreds to thousands of dollars worth of stuff on eBay every month. Using letter sized 2-label sheets carefully placed one at a time into my persnickety brothers brand laser printer, holding the sheet just so, in order to get a crummy flakey label that required clear tape over the address or it would end up in the lost items unit in Atlanta. True story bro. I’ve had to replace and resend items. Now THATS expensive. 2. Because it’s thermal I’ll NEVER buy ink again. It will pay for itself within the year just for that. 3. The very first label I printed I cursed with happiness. Before I finished turning my befuddled head from the screen to the printer THE LABEL WAS ALREADY THERE. The labels glide out smoothly no hurky jerky. This will save me time, printing, packing, dealings with angry eBayers, all of it. Remember to change from letter size to 4x6”.

I recently purchased a Rollo printer for my online business. Ive had it for a week and its already changed the shipping game. Prepping 10+ packages to ship used to take me over an hour, it now takes half of that time. The first day I had my Rollo, it went from the box to printing labels in around ten minutes. Set up was super simple and straight forward. There are short, concise, and helpful videos on the Rollo website that demonstrate set up making it a breeze. It comes with a small amount of labels to play with and test during set up. I purchased the Rollo branded labels for use and have since changed to those. They work very well with the printer and at $0.04 a label, with even cheaper options available, this printer will also be a money saver for my business. I do not use a label holder for my labels, theyre stack style and they just sit behind the printer. So far, I have had zero feed issues. I utilize Poshmark, eBay, and Paypal sell items and print shipping labels from. My Rollo printer works perfectly for all three. Rollo is not a listed printer on PayPal, but selecting any printer that has a 4x6 format works to print shipping labels. I have a MacBook computer and have had no problems with installing the drivers or hardware problems. I love that my labels are now waterproof and critical information wont get smeared on rainy day post office runs. Rollo is super fast, no waiting on my inkjet to decide to bless me with labels. No more having to fight with my inkjet needing paper or being low on ink. My one tiny complaint about this printer, which will probably only affect very few people, is that I have high frequency hearing loss and I cannot hear the beep sounds the printer makes and you have to listen for during set up and label changes. Luckily, my boyfriend can hear them and is able to help me load new labels in, but I wish the light on the button flashed in conjunction with making a noise to indicate when you should release the button for the printer to "read" the labels. If you have a hard time hearing high frequency beeping sounds, make sure you have a helper on hand during set up and subsequent label changes. Besides this, I love the Rollo printer and I would highly recommenced it to anybody considering switching to a thermal printer for their business.

Edit to update: I spoke too soon. Though they have WONDERFUL customer service, the unit I have prints very spotty now. It worked well for around a week. The customer service response was almost immediate, and she gave me several links several troubleshooting articles. I have nothing but good things to say about their effort! Everything was easy to set up and the troubleshooting articles were easy to follow. I just got sick of fighting with it, so I’ve returned it. If you get a unit that is not flawed, I’m sure you would have a five-star experience. Three stars for their service, ease of troubleshooting, and ease of setup. I am very happy with my Rollo so far! I was very hesitant to order this one, simply because it was not a name that was recognizable. Honestly, I’ve heard so many complaints about the “other” brand, so I was holding off buying one. I am so glad I took a chance and ordered this one!! It was easy to install and it prints well. Well worth the money for those who print labels. You can order fan fold or roll labels through UPS free of charge, so you will make the money back very quickly; no ink, no charge for labels, NOTHING. Seriously, I’m hooked. Prior to buying this printer, I would use a typical inkjet printer with two labels per page that I printed. I would have to reload the paper each time after cutting off the unused portion, and since I was already having trouble with duplicate prints, I ended up wasting so much ink and so much paper. This has solved that problem! Game changer!!

I received my shipment in a timely manner but when trying to operate it the machine just randomly printed out labels that have already been printed on my cpu with nothing in my printing work order. It wasted about 50 labels that i had purchased and then when asking for help from the support team, it was an absolute embarrassment. The support teams instructions were redundant making me do things for no reason after I have already told them I have tried it. In the end, the product is messed up, it was a huge waste of time dealing with a support team that does not listen to what you have to say.

I decided to try this little printer out...I was tired of cutting out labels and taping them on. I read every single review before purchasing. A lot mention print quality issues. This is true, but it’s not the printers fault. I print via Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. Etsy labels are PERFECT. Clear, crisp labels. But Amazon and eBay labels turn out faded looking and splotchy (however, they still scan just fine). Amazon has an app called Amazon Print Connect. *I* recommend printing through that if you have this printer—it improves the overall quality, but the quality is still not that of Etsy labels. Since the printer prints perfect Etsy labels, that tells me it’s an issue with Amazon and eBay in terms of label file quality. Etsy has it right...so hopefully eBay and Amazon will follow suit and improve their file quality. So don’t blame the printer! Customer service...extremely lacking. When I first got the printer and had the poor quality issues, I went through all of their trouble shooting guides and issues were not resolved. When I reached out to Rollo customer service, I detailed exactly all of the things I had already tried based on their online guides. The response? Exactly what the guides said. So, they didn’t even read the details I gave and things I had already tried. Just told me to do all the things I had already done. Frustrating. Then, I came across Amazon Print Connect (available through the seller central platform) and it resolved some issues. I went back to Rollo’s website and there was no mention of it. So I reached out again...said I had tried that app and it helped resolve issues and perhaps they should put that info on their site to save others the frustrations I’ve had. Their response was that they don’t recommend it. DO WHAT? Why would you not recommend it when it fixes some of the issues your company can’t fix? That makes no sense to me. Tips: Each platform you print from has settings you can change to optimize labels for printing on 4x6 thermal labels. Make sure you change those settings! Amazon Print Connect resolves some quality issues, but not all. Although the labels may not look great, they still scan just fine with USPS, UPS, and FedEx. And that’s what really matters, the ability to be scanned. Setup and use are quite easy. No complaint son either of those. The printer itself I would rate at 5 stars. I knocked a star off due to poor customer service and me having to figure out the work arounds to improve quality on my own. Hope this helps those on the line about purchasing this printer or not.
