Bought to print postage labels for E-bay sales. After less than twenty minutes out of the box, everything was set up and working. Pros: - Very compact. - Huge savings on effort and time compared to printing on normal paper, cutting out the label, and taping to a box. - Easy to use. - Seems very well built. - Comes with a USB cable, and a small "starter" packet of 4" x 6" self adhesive labels. - Website is nice with plenty of info and various how-tos (E-bay, Amazon, etc.) - Doesnt use proprietary labels. Cons: - Theres a surprising oversight on the website, although it lists possible fixes for problems, it doesnt go into detail on how exactly to implement the fixes. To make the print-out darker, they suggest slowing down the print speed and increasing the print density in Printer Preferences -> Settings, but they dont tell you if the numbers should be higher or lower. Through trial and error I figured out the lower the number the slower the print speed (the "correct speed" for me appears to be 3 ). Im still playing around with the density settings, but so far 6-8, prints out nice dark labels with no white spots. Bottom Line: Theres really only four options for dedicated 4"x6" label printers. The Brother and DYMO both appear to have reliability issues, and the Zebra is too expensive (at least for what were doing). As long as theres no malfunctions, the Rollo is looking like one of those devices that well wonder how we ever lived without it. Update: Its been more than six months and the Rollo keeps chugging along with regular (almost daily) use. Since the manufacturer has fixed their website instructions (very appreciated BTW), Im now giving it five stars (from 4 to 5).

Ohhh man this thing is awesome. Seems too good to be true. It is an incredible hassle-free product. I never thought I could love a printer lol. As a small business owner, this thing pays for itself in both time and money. I originally bought this for shipping labels, but within a few minutes I started printing logo stickers to slap on the packages as well. Cause WHY NOT when you dont need to buy ink thats worth its weight in gold.

First off when choosing a printer I narrowed it down to the Rollo or the competitor dymo. Then I read the reviews and decided on Rollo for three reasons. Ease of Setup, Customer Care and Print Speed. Rollo Delivers on all three. First ease of set up was important to me as Im not a computer person by any means. The printer arrived as Scheduled. I simply plugged it in, went to their website, watched their short video and had it up and working in a matter of minutes. My only issue was I had an adjustment modification I needed for ebay and being unfamiliar with a mac that I inherited (lifetime windows user) decided to contact customer support to save some time. Soon after i sent the email I received a call from Kevin at Rollo, and within minutes the issue was resolved. But this is where the story gets good. While Kevin was in my computer he noted that I had some unresolved wifi issues. I assured him it was an ongoing problem and was going to work in the future on getting it fixed. He asked if I minded if he tried a few things. So Kevin proceeded to try different issues that it might be. He worked on it for some time when he suggested I Update the computer. Update was to take about half an hour so Kevin said he would call back in 30 minutes if I didnt mind. I told him he had already gone way beyond the call of duty, so it was not necessary but would appreciate it if he would. Sure enough, I just got the computer back up and running and Kevin was on the phone again. The update still didnt resolve the problem, but he said he had two more things to try and sure enough his last attempt resolved a year long problem. So their slogan, that they feel they should earn our business not expect it they absolutely take to heart. This printer absolutely has the speed I expected. You hit the print button and before you can turn your head to look at the printer it has already been printed. You have to be quick if you want to see this cute little printer work. I have nothing to compare this to as this is my first label printer but I cannot imagine a printer working better then this one. I just ordered flat fold labels so the extra Tray behind the printer would not be an issue. Ive only been using this a couple days now, but I do not expect to see any future issues. Rollo Printer is there to earn our business and grow their company, so I imagine they will be standing behind their product for the long term. If Customer service and print speed are important in your selection then there is no other printer choice that can deliver like Rollo. So if you are set on a thermal label printer but our just trying to decide between this and the other guys, do yourself a favor and put your trust in Rollo. I think in the future they will become the standard to keep up with for thermal printing and you will be ahead of the curve.

I love this printer. I was a little skeptical at first while shopping for a printer since this seems to be a new brand and the Dymo has so many more reviews. But we decided to go with this one and were very happy. The fact that you can use almost any size label with it is what sold us. Also, if we start using UPS, we can get free labels. Weve had it for 3 weeks and have had one, minor, correctable issue... The only downside I see is that you should probably get the label roll holder with it (or it should be offered on Amazon). We did see a minor issue with the labels not coming out clear every now and then, but it was only a short, horizontal section of the label (about as wide as the persons name), but the rest of the label was perfect. At first, I thought it was the printer performing poorly, or it being dirty, but it didnt make sense that just one strip was bad and then the rest was good. I believe the issue is with not having the label holder and having the roll just sit behind the printer and roll as its pulled through the machine. When friction wins and the wheel has to pull a tiny bit harder, the change in tension was creating the mis-labeling issue. As soon as I picked the roll up off the table behind the printer and used a pencil to let it rotate around (holding it like a kite spindle), the problem went away. So...order their label roll holder when you get this if you plan on using the label rolls. You can get it from their website ($20).

I researched thermal printers online for a long time and I am so happy I bought this printer. I was originally going to get the Dymo label printer, but after reading the countless horror stories I opted for a safer option than the "mainstream printer." (Dodged that bullet) **This is probably one of the best purchases I have made this entire year. The printer is super easy to use and isnt any hassle at all. It prints beautifully with all the barcodes and words coming out crisp and clear. (Adjust printing density and speed until perfect in printing preferences) With small lettering and fonts, you will see some pixelation. However, I have only had this awesome printer for only a week or so, so there is probably some way to fix it (havent discovered it yet). As a small business owner, I only have seconds to adjust printer settings or make changes, and this printer makes it sooooooo easy. Make sure to read the setup manual and take the time to learn the functions or the button and what the different flashing lights are. But, you could also do a bit of learning on your own (like how I did) and read up as you go along. The setup took less than half an hour. Be prepared to go through and ruin the first 10-15 labels before you have the process perfect. Its just the name of the game of zeroing it in. I love the fact that I can switch paper sizes extremely quick. All you have to do is move these two sliders within the printer either wider or smaller to fit the paper you want to use. After that, you feed the paper in - close the lid - and run the scan so the printer can recognize the size. *Before you click "Print" on your computer make sure to have your Printer Preferences or Settings set to the correct paper size. ---- EDIT --------- December 3rd, 2018 Printer is still going strong with thousands of labels printed. We do FBA product labels and shipping labels through Shipstation day in and day out. Havent had one issue at all. Integration is super simple and not an issue as long as you follow the directions. One thing weve learned is to make sure you have a decent PDF editing program so you can crop and print labels on the fly if you need to. This is done by using the snapshot tool to print what you select off of a PDF, which is great for FBA product labels and such. ---- EDIT --------- March 4th, 2019 Still going strong. None of my opinions have changed about this printer. Shipped 1,000s of packages with the thermal printer without any concerns. I still recommend this printer to all small business owners.

ETA: I had an issue with the labels I bought for this printer. It kept feeding out labels after one printed. Im glad I didnt give up on this printer, instead I looked at some customer reviews that had customer service replies. I read that all I had to do was hold down the button on top of the printer until it beeped. Then it fed some labels through so that it could identify the gap between labels. Works great now! Its a wonder what a little trouble shooting can do. So far so good. I decided to go with this over the dymo XL because of the reviews. Glad I did. Easy to use and load paper. The only thing that would make this better is if the label tray came with the printer at no extra cost. It is a little costly, but I know it will pay itself off over time. It works great with Etsy and PayPal label printing. PayPal doesnt have the rollo as an option for printing format, but any of the 4x6 dymo or zebra options work. Etsy was even easier. All I had to do was download drivers and didnt have to touch any of the settings. All I did was open up PayPal to print a label and it automatically recognized the rollo. Love it so far after only a week. Will update if anything goes wrong

I just got this printer yesterday to replace my failed Dymo 4XL which Id been using for the past few months to ship items from eBay, Poshmark, Sellercentral, Bonanza, Mercari, and Etsy. As my 5th thermal label printer since 2015 I have a bit of experience using them for my part-time job as a reseller. A short history: I first purchased a Dymo TwinTurbo label printer for use with ebay shipping when I first started selling online. Id been going to fedex by bicycle every time I sold something, so this was a major upgrade, being able to print labels at home was amazing! However, the set-up time was frustrating, the labels were something like 7.5"x2.5" and I had to get ebay to print shipping at that size. Once I did figure that out it was great, but I hadnt anticipated that a few years later Id be expanding to other sales platforms which couldnt print at that size. In an effort to maximize space in my then teeny-tiny 360 sq. ft. apartment (with my 6-year-old Daughter, My fiance, my housecat and a 50 Lb german shepherd dog might I add. Times were rough....) I decided to "upgrade to the Dymo labelwriter 450. I still printed the same oddly proportioned labels but was smaller. The twin-turbo has two label roll feeds while the labelwriter 450 has only one. I had mistakenly thought, as a beginner, that I would need to print an address label separate from the postage label, I soon found that to not be the case and that my two-roll twin-turbo was unnecessarily taking up my desk space. Again, this printer was good, but the label specs were weird and incompatible with other platforms. My 3rd label printer was purchased because for *some reason* I had kept trying to load a new roll of labels the wrong way. It hadnt occurred to me to try and put them in facing down until Id already disassembled the printer, broke the crap out of it in frustration and later received the new replacement.... which included instructions that showed Id been trying to put the roll in the wrong way... 50 bucks gone... geez. I used this for about a year until I decided Id like to expand to other platforms to sell on. Id long since moved into an adequately-sized space and began to greatly expand my inventory. Once I started listing on these I knew it was time to upgrade to the conventional, industry standard, 4x6 labels. So I shelled out just about $200 for a Dymo 4XL & The corresponding labels. I knew when I purchased it that many people had experience problems with this printer specifically and that I might as well. Id not experienced any with the Twinturbo or 450 but those had many more positive reviews than the 4XL, So I got the extended warranty. Unfortunately, the damn thing started jamming and spurting out test labels just 3 MONTHS after I bought it. This wasnt the only issue Id had, there were crooked labels and all sorts of crap but this was the final death of the Dymo 4XL. When I contacted my warranty serive, they instructed me to contact the manufacturer so I sent Dymo an email request concerning their manufacturers warranty service. Its been nearly a week and I still have had NO response from Dymo. As I still have a business to run, and without a reliable printer from Dymo, I decided Id take my chances here with the ROLLO Printer. I had almost purchased it the first time around but I didnt like that it needed a separate roll-holder or that it was made by a company that was new and unfamiliar to me. I was also concerned with how I would print Poshmark labels, as they only format their labels for 8.5"x11" sheets (So I thought! You can actually change it now, please read on to find out how!). But this time I decided Id take my chances. After all, a roll holder IS an option, and so are the accordion fold labels, so its beneficial if you look at it that way. Also, the fact that the company is newer and less established to me means they HAVE to earn my trust if they want to be in the game. So thats actually a benefit as well. A benefit that I hadnt expected is that this prints SO fast and is SO much more quiet than the Dymo! As far as poshmark labels go, at first I tried the workaround that ROLLO suggested, begrudgingly. Dymo had this great software that I could use to screenshot the poshmark label and print but ROLLO suggested I use Adobe reader, another new program to download just for stinking poshmark.... EXCEPT... I googled it again and found that as of March 18 Poshmark has added a way to change your default label size to 4x6"!! So Psyched! all you have to do is Go to: My Seller Tools > Shipping Label Settings and select the 4x6 label option. Now youll be printing direct from poshmark without any workaround needed! As Its still very early in my ROLLO life I havent had any issue where Ive needed to contact customer service. But I have the feeling that when/If I ever do theyll be more than helpful. Either way, after some time I will update my review here to include any new info and experience I have. Thus far, Im converted for sure, OUT with Dymo, IN with ROLLO!

Once you actually own and use this printer the good reviews here start to look reeeeeeeeeeeal suspect in how strangely similarly excited they all sound. So far I have used most of an entire roll of 100 labels, and have printed 6 labels correctly. It has trouble printing straight, and will frequently print half on one label then half on the next. In the meantime it will spit out 10+ blank labels with every printing, while horribly mangling half of those due to not printing straight and leaving them unusable. Please note with this printer you have to buy a $20 label holder stand in order to feed the labels into the printer that will then eat and misprint the majority of them. There are a lot of low quality awful printers out there, and this printer makes them look top of the line.

It sets up relatively easily, but does require a bit of configuring. Once done its good to go and it prints quickly and easily. For me this means no more frustration with full sheet labels in my laser printer where I have to cross my fingers in hopes that it will feed correctly and not jam (a real PITA). It doesnt work for PayPal International labels with Customs form on them. Not Rollos fault but PayPal International doesnt play well with thermal printers and 4x6 labels. Rollo has a fix where you save the label as PDF and then open in Acrobat and fiddle with it to print, but the whole reason I bought the Rollo was for speed and simplicity. Rollo told me about Peninsula thermal printer drivers. I tested the demo and bought it immediately. Sorry I cant post a link. Yeah, the driver was almost a hundred bucks but it WORKS. Some configuration is necessary and youre good to go. PayPal International labels on 4x6 are crystal clear. I also created a Peninsula printer profile for UPS labels. Rollo also works perfectly with Endicia. For domestic PayPal labels the Rollo needs nothing and its performance exceeds my expectations. My only regret is not buying it sooner. Its small, fast, and the labels are dirt cheap. Oh, and their tech support was extremely quick replying to my questions. Cant ask for more than that!

I am so happy I went with Rollo, less well known but I took a chance figuring if I hate it I can return it with my prime account fairly easily- let me tell you! I had a little trouble hooking it up because I have never owned any printer before so me being a nube I gave up and emailed rollo at 9pm figuring Id get a response sometime the next day but no! I had a phone call in 3 minutes exactly with a helpful man who remote accessed my computer and he set up everything for me in less than 5 minutes. He then sent me an email with his direct phone number for any future issues. The other big perk of having a rollo instead of a dymo is I can get free 4x6 shipping labels from UPS delivered straight to my door, they sent me 6,000!!! Labels that work with the rollo all for free! I am set for my new home business and have already printed off about 100 labels with no issues whatsoever. Totally worth the money spent and never having to buy labels makes this printer a steal! Dont waist your time and money- buy the rollo now and you wont regret it!
