So ... this printer is huge! The stated dimensions are correct, and its hard to be smaller and handle 13x19 prints and 11x17 scans, but buyer beware--this printer is massive. Anyway, once you get over the size, theres a lot to love (much like my St Bernard!). For starters it does everything youd expect (scan, copy, print, fax,etc...) but again, it can do all of the above at enormous sizes (while still handling letter sized tasks with aplomb). It supports two sided printing and scans, and it has huge trays for stuff going in (35 page feeder for scans and 500 page paper tray) as well as output. Being an Epson, it does pretty darn good photo printing (even edge to edge prints at poster sizes), but this is more of a office printer that is aimed at PowerPoints than a large format photo printer (Epson will sell you one of those for quite a bit more, but theyll blow you away). In the context of small office use, its crazy fast, doesnt need to warmup (like a laser), and uses pigment inks (bleed less and simply are better than dye based inks). Its easy to add to a network, does quite a bit without a PC (using the small but effective screen), and supports various phones and tablets. Whats not to like? Well, if you dont need large format printing AND scanning, there are options that print large format prints and scan legal size documents that are much smaller, and ones that max out for legal sized prints and scans that are smaller still. The price is very competitive, but you arent getting the heavy build of a HP LaserJet (especially the ones of years gone by), and consumables do add up. Id recommend this for a small office that needs more than a consumer printer but doesnt want to get into managed printing or invest in a laser printer.

Having installed many printers over the past 25 years, this was the easiest installation ever! After unpacking this monster, it took no more than 10 minutes to get the software installed on Windows 10 Pro, and it automatically updated the firmware and registered with Epson. On many other HP and Epson network printers I usually have to do a lot of tweaking to get other network computers to connect, but not this one. I use this on a wired network, and every computer was able to connect immediately without issues. I do a lot of printing on both Letter and Tabloid sizes, and its such a pleasure not to have to change paper trays. I generally use 24lb paper, so the trays do not hold 500 sheets, maybe around 425-450. The only issue I found was e-mail printing from EpsonConnect - the document printed just fine, but it did not use my selected fonts - it reverted to standard fonts, but I dont believe this is an issue with the printer itself, but rather with EpsonConnect. The weight of this machine instills confidence in its construction. I will be monitoring ink usage and will update later. So far, so good!!!

Scans 11x17 and prints up to 13x19. And, you can print Photos. down to 3x5 with great quality. Epsons Durabrite ink notoriously plugs nozzles. A CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) is highly recommended. Make sure you use "dye" ink. I used the XPRO V system and their Dye ink. Way cheaper than Epson ink

I use this printer every day in an architectural office and typically print black-and-white and color line drawings, text pages, and the occasional rendering or photograph. While this printer wont compete with the dedicated 6-color photo printer when it comes to photos it prints a darn fine image as long as you feed it quality paper and ink. Ive found that the budget "generic" inks are fine for working prints but the Epson brand inks are far, far superior for presentation and deliverable quality images. Contrary to what Epson support will tell you, this printer WILL take 12x18 paper in tray 2, you just have to create a custom paper size in the printer. Its very nice to be able to print exact 50% reductions of 24x36 sheets economically. I only have two minor gripes about this printer: 1) The paper trays dont hold much paper. Id prefer to pay slightly more for a version that held 500+ sheets in each tray (and came with three or four trays), and 2) The internal mechanisms occasionally make plastic-y squeaking noises.

I have owned this since April 4, 2018. This is a terrific printer. I really like it. Everything about it is great and works great, starting from the packaging to the well-conceived installation process to the software to the functionality. The print quality is great. Its quiet and fast. It is loaded with features and prints large format! I have yet to try printing a photo, so Ill postpone comments on that. The one thing you need to note (as many reviewers have) is that it is fairly large -- which makes complete sense, considering its capabilities -- so check the dimensions against your available space. Trust me: if you have the space, you WILL BE HAPPY you bought this printer!

Have to say that the printer I received was defective but Epson immediately sent a replacement out and it works perfectly. It is much faster than I expected (even the color printing) and is very neat and clear. I have been using Epson for years.....even bought my own printer for work because of the reliability......and I cant say enough good about the company or this particular printer. Kudos to Epson for replacing the original without any problems and to Amazon for selling them at a reasonable price!! Thank, guys!!!

Wow, really enjoying this printer. Using it for business: posters, directions, product information, and attention grabbers. Photo quality is very good and the large format gives authenticity to whats printed since I breaks from the see it every day 8.5x11. Wifi and network printing have been easy except for needing to wake it up to process network jobs. Have had some minor issues with the thumb drive transfer also but nothing that would decrease rating IMO.
