This is not a suitable produce for anyone that must scan or copy a doc with multiple pages. It is really just meant for photos.

I bought this to replace an older Pixma printer that has been working flawlessly for many years. The only reason I even bothered to make this purchase was because the old one was not compatible with my new Windows 10 desktop. Set up was pretty straightforward until I got to the auto head alignment step. It just kept spitting out blank pages. All the ink tanks were properly unwrapped and installed so that wasnt the issue. I called tech support and they couldnt find a solution either. So this printer is being shipped back while a replacement is on its way. If all goes well with #2, I will be sure to update this review. OK, so now Im in the middle of setting up printer #2, live and on the air! Well look at this! Its printing out the test page! Not like printer #1 which kept spitting out blanks. The instructions say this will take several minutes. Lets see how this goes. So now its scanning the print head alignment printout. Well look at that! "Print head alignment is complete"! After I finish with the set up and run this thing through its paces, I will further update this review. Meanwhile I have raised my initial 1-star review to a cautious 3-stars. Lets see how it goes. Back to one star. I can print from the computer fine, though its a bit slow. Scanning is a different issue however. Cant do it. I keep getting a pop up message saying the printer is not connected to the computer even though the printer does scan. Its just not getting the info to the computer. It doesnt matter if I do it wireless or use the USB, it just wont work. Also the USB jack doesnt hold the cable in firmly and it falls out too easily. Overall, a real disappointment.

Many Canon ink printers listed in Amazon have poor reviews. The TS9120 stood out from the crowd with a high rating. The printer has impressive new technology, easy connection to WiFi, extensive helpful software. It also prints well. I would recommend it.

First the negatives: paper tray is flimsy and not all of the moving parts are permanently connected (e.g., the disc tray... arent discs obsolete anyway?) - it takes some research to figure out where everything belongs; similarly, there is a learning curve for loading paper and setting up the scanner; you have to go to Canons website and get the software needed to use all of the features; and finally, the ink prices are unreasonable and generic ink is still too new for market competition to bring down the price, but that will probably change in a few months. Positives: the wireless setup was remarkably easy compared to earlier models; there is a touch screen which simplifies everything (that alone is worth $100); the unit is very compact and light; and, photos print beautifully on 4x6 glossy.

For home use with two computers. Our old Lexmark computer could only be accessed from my wifes laptop when my Apple computer was turned on. This printer is accessed freely by wireless from each device totally independent of any other device. Both of our computers are Apples, but I would believe that this printer is also compatible with any currently sold PC. We ordered it with a full complement of regular ink cartridges (6). We have not had it long enough to tell how many copies the cartridges can make. My only complaint would be with the setup procedures. At one point, I had to select MANUAL SETUP to connect my iMac wirelessly to the printer, following subsequent directions on the screen. In both setups (iMac and Apple laptop), I had to go to Finder to locate the download and open it. The START SETUP screen did not come up automatically. Also, while the Users Manual referred to the ability to "wake up" the printer by sending a print order when the printer was off, I only discovered from a review above, that you have to set up this function in the ECO menu under SETTINGS.

Awful. We are sending back. We were so excited for this but it is flimsy and literally will not stay connected to the WiFi. We also have to turn it on every time to get it to even re-connect to the computer.

I am enjoying this new printer. It is compact and has many features I like. The output tray automatically extends and recedes. I like the individual ink tanks so I only have to replace the one that was empty. My only negative was setting it up. Connecting it to my laptop went well but not so easy connecting to my smartphone. The directions may need to be updated. I look forward to using this printer for many years!

I needed an all-in-one with a small footprint, and decided to give this one a try. When unpacking and setting up, I was initially concerned I might accidentally break some of the flimsy plastic components, but this turned out not to be an issue. (However, I would not recommend this printer for heavy use situations.) The print quality is good, the photo quality surprisingly good. It prints duplex automatically, which I love. Scan quality is very good and it scans quickly. A document feeder for scanning multiple pages wouldve been nice, but its absence is not a deal killer. The rear paper feed is great for photos and envelopes, letting you leave your letter-size paper in the main tray undisturbed. One quirk: after a while of non-use, the printer turns completely off. I have to turn it on again with the power button before I can print again. No biggie, and perhaps theres a setting to change this behavior, but Im used to printers going to stand-by after a while, not completely turning themselves off. Perhaps Im saving money on my power bill, though.

This printer had great reviews, but I couldnt even get past setup due to an error code. On setup, the ink tray would not move to the center. I kept getting an error code. I checked online for troubleshooting for that specific error, but none of the recommendations fixed the error. Besides all that, the printer seemed flimsy and cheap, particularly the paper tray. I returned for full refund.

This printer is frustrating to use. It turns off automatically after some random time, so if you go to print, you have to kjeep turning it on again. For some totally mysterious reason, when we use airdrop, it only accepts paper from the rear paper feed, not the standard tray. It also only accepts different cartridges that our other Canon printer, even though they look exactly the same, fit into the ink slots, but are electronically programmed to not work. Come on Canon, you can do a lot better than this! Thinking of getting another printer. Its pretty annoying.
