Great value for a 27 inch with 1440p resolution. The bezel is fairly thin and looks nice when used in multi display. I am using two of these in portrait mode and the 1440 resolution is plenty large enough for the standard web page at full desktop resolution (which is typically anywhere from 1000-1600px, with most being at ~1400px range). The 1440p resolution is much better than 1080p monitors which will be restrictive in their horizontal capacity when placed into portrait mode. The brightness is good and color quality seems fine to me. I am not extremely particular on this as it doesnt effect my productivity and at this value you cant complain too much anyway. I ordered the first monitor to make sure it would fit in my pre-existing monitor mount as well as see if it looked good, of course, at least compared to my other monitors. Compared to the ASUS VG248s that these replaced: these were much brighter and showed better color. Deeper looking blacks. Better viewing angle. Compared to my fairly new Dell monitors these are on par, possibly slightly lesser in, quality and "vibrance" I would call (as a non videophile). However the Dell monitors were 50%+ more expensive. And being that I am continually upgrading my workstation I tend to always go with the lower-end models. ViewSonic is a great monitor brand and I still have a 19 ViewSonic from the early 2000s maybe older I forget, which still works flawlessly to this day - while Ive had many others over the years give out, even with much less usage than the ViewSonic. Their newer craftsmanship and products seem to be made with the same care. Which Ive learned comes from companies that care about their products not just profits, which is what we need more of.

Install Flash Player Recived the monitor in undamaged packaging but the monitor itself was scratched in on the of the corners and there is a dead pixel and a random black line in the screen. The monitor itself has a warm tint which looks very bad and the anti-glare is overkill, and the brightness is very low. and noticed that the text are blurry as other reviewers said, also there is some leaked light on the opposite side of the scratched and noticed some twitching in the panel sometimes. I really like the 1440p resolution and the size of the monitor is perfect, Im not sure of all the points i said are there because the monitor is damaged or its faulty product but im very disappointed and not happy with the product. I want to return the product but I live in Saudi Arabia and the shipping to USA is too expensive which means I could be stuck with it, very unhappy and disappointed.

Similar to another reviewer, I also got a monitor with the blurry text effect. However, this is not a result of the software configuration of the several different computers and operating systems I tried. I managed to pin down the cause -- an extremely sub-optimal subpixel arrangement. I tried viewing an image of dense vertical lines and dense horizontal lines. For all the other monitors I have access to, these two images have similar global contrast. On this ViewSonic monitor, there was noticeably different contrast between vertical and horizontal lines. This means that anything with high contrast, for example any text, will be blurrier in the vertical direction compared to the horizontal.

Ive had no issues with blurred text unless running through a VGA to HDMI converter at 1080p on a docking station. At 1440p on HDMI and DP everything looks crisp. Very happy with my purchase. Play with Windows 10 custom screen scaling if youre experiencing blurred text. I set mine set to 101% to eliminate blurred text on my office displays (not these).

Im hoping mine is just a defective unit and this isnt the norm.

I have a Mac Mini that already has a Cinema Display connected to the Thunderbolt/Mini-DP connector, so I was looking to add a second display off the HDMI port - the tech specs for the mini specify that it is actually capable of outputting 2560x1440 to two displays at once. Unfortunately, I was unable to get this monitor to display 2560x1440 off an HDMI port, no matter what. It had no problem displaying 2560x1080, which made the image appear vertically stretched, and I was able to coax 2560x1440 (scaled) using SwitchResX, but the blurriness of the text made it barely tolerable. I ultimately decided to return the monitor, since it was just too much of a pain. Unfortunate, because otherwise it seems like a decent monitor - lightweight, very nice looking.

Its a great monitor, and great for the price. But beware, I bought mine and within a day got weird pixel issues on screen. No worries, I just restarted and it was all good. A few hours later, the screen goes red on me, red tint, and does not get better. Go through full troubleshooting, cable, power, hue, etc. Even get on with amazon support. Screen is busted. Luckily I have prime and another one was sent, but still MAJOR HASSLE

I purchased a pair of the monitors to use in a multiple monitor configuration. I was very happy with the product because I was looking for something better than the 1080p monitors I had, but dont need 4k at this time. This was one of the only monitors I found that fir the bill. And the price was great. I received both with no problems, and they worked great.....for about a week. One of the monitors turned pink. It looked like it lost one of the RGB colors. I contacted Amazon and a replacement was sent out immediately. I received that one and it worked great....for about 2 days. Then it turned pink. When I went to replace that one, I found that Amazon no longer sold these directly and only 3rd party resellers had them, so I was advised to go through Viewsonic for a warranty claim. I did that and was given an RMA to send the monitor to Viewsonic, at my expense ($80 to ship from Hawaii to California). I received a refurbished model in about 2 weeks and it worked great.....for a day. This one has lost all the colors and is only black and white now. I have changed everything. Power strips, input cables, even purchased a new video card. I am currently waiting to hear from Viewsonic about what to do with this one. So, in a nutshell, over the past 6 weeks I have had 4 of these and 3 have failed.

Im having similar issues with the overall text sharpness as well. Its not horrible, but I have this on a stand (in portrait) along with another 1440P 27" and a 1440P 21:9, 34" display (all IPS) and the text is clearly the worst on the VA2719. The other odd thing is that the screen almost has a "texture" to it which is very noticeable when moving a window around the screen. Its not really an issue with a stationary window but its a bit annoying as well. Im connected via DP in case thats of interest to anyone comparing text sharpness issues. I would return it but I stupidly through away the box. Fortunately, I have several employees (all with multiple displays) so the next time we need another 27" this on will be handed down to someone else.

I decide to upgrade my 1080p monitor to 1440p since I upgraded my graphics card. The refresh rate is the standard 60hz screen but with the games I play 60hz is all you really need. Graphics look very clean and crisp. I also bought this because it has 2 hdmi ports and 1 displayport so I could have more stuff connected to the monitor. I dont regret switching to 1440p, but if you like competive gaming you are better off buying a 1080p 144hz monitor for about the same price range. If you are like me and only play games like assassins creed, tomb raider, etc. and want to have good looking picture quality then this would be for you.
