So I was going to get the XG2402 model and I saw this was just released. Basically RGB and says Elite. This is not Elite by any means. The writing on the monitor is smeared. Also there is backlight bleed on a tn panel... stay far away my friends.
This monitor doesnt work in Windows 7. Drivers dont work and computer doesnt see it. Have been working with support but nothing has worked. Going to have to return it and buy different monitor.
I bought this monitor months ago, and returned it. It took a whole month to get my money back! First defect: The freesync never worked. I turned on freesync in the Radeon settings and in the monitor settings. I still saw two horizontal tears simultaneously!!! This happened in every game. Second defect: While moving about in a game, a grid could be seen. This was actually the worst defect. This happened in every game. The third issue is not a defect, it is inherent to all 27" 1080p monitors. You will be able to see the pixels easily in any 27" monitor at 1080p. Larger screens need higher resolutions to look good. I read other negative reviews after buying the monitor, my mistake. Viewsonic used to be a reputable brand, about 20 years ago! I used to have a Viewsonic CRT. Every company changes after 20 years. This one for the worse. Im still using my old monitor, which is fine for now. It doesnt have freesync, but I didnt pay for that. When I get around to picking a new monitor, it will be one that is praised on some discussion forum. I recommend you do the same.
