Install Flash Player I did hours and hours of research on FreeSync Monitors that work on nvidia Graphics cards, using the new as of Jan 2019 G-synch Compatible setting. This monitor is stated by MSI to meet those requirements. I found at least one person on reddit that stated it worked. It has a random to constant backlight flicker.. It seems to happen only when in adaptive synch mode (IE between 48-100 hz refresh, below that no rate adjustment to frames, that is the whole limited range issue for some G-synch compatible monitors as well). So besides the headache inducing strobing, this monitor is just not bright. Its dim, off color and frankly just not worth the money. I could have a lemon all these reviewers seem to over all like this monitor, but Id rather use my cheap Seki 4k TV thats going out over this at this point. DO NOT BUY. In Full disclosure I called support and got a human in less than 10 minutes. However she simply wasted my time. I updated my nvidia drivers (one literally came out the morning of this trouble ticket call), and that was all she had.. She had no info on config (I had hoped I had the config wrong). She told me to try the other cable I had agreed to order.. Or simply return the monitor to Amazon. To conclude, for the intended purpose of using this with an nvidia card per MSIs own public statement, DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR, IT DOES NOT WORK. Their support didnt even bother to try to help or fix it.. Last MSI product I ever look at.

This monitor performs splendidly! And it works really well with Nvidias new G-Sync compatibility. If you want to save some money and still game at ultrawide, this is the one to get!

Lured by the price of this monitor and ratings reviews, I took the bait and bought it. As an engineer who works in a factory it was apparent that this monitor was shipped with a known defect from their factory. There is a 1/2" long scratch on the monitor - on the inside of the screen, not the outside. The second you turn it on it becomes noticeable. Tried calling their customer support and that was a joke. Like a broken record they kept repeating "talk to Amazon, not us." I asked if they wanted to listen to how I determined they had a factory defect, to which they said they didnt care and "talk to Amazon, not us". I sent it back and bought an HKC, the next lowest cost 34" monitor. And like a dog that returns to his own vomit, the monitor from HKC is the exact same piece of poop from the same piece of poop factory as the MSI monitor, but you get to pay $100 more! Save your money till you can afford an LG or Samsung. I have both of these in my office and they are wonderful compared with this Chinese noodle soup as poop monitor.

Well its been two weeks and its time to give my impressions. This monitor at this price its a steal, for gaming particularly its amazing with features that really put it up there. I am still working on the calibration ( that is one of the cons) but the Monitor is solid and Freesync works solid with my vega 64. The cracking noises are there it does it at the beginning and at the end of your session but it is not a big deal for me, it is not like all you hear is that and besides it lasts for about 5 minutes. Very happy with the monitor.

My first ultrawide and I love it. Its GSync Compatible and does 100Hz easily with my 1080Ti. I didnt think it was going to be this wide.. The screen size is about 8-10in wider than my previous 27in monitor. Lots of realestate. The only gripe I have is that the back of the monitor pops every once in a while as it warms up. Not a real big issue. 1440p @100Hz and Gysnc Compat for a great price. You can also find it much cheaper at Microcenter but its too far from me to be worth the drive.

After a few months of using this monitor I started having head aches. I have changed and flipped between settings to never find one that isnt offensive. I add lights and remove lights and re-position this monitor and its all bad. I have tried flux and other software and built in web browsing extensions to make surfing the web easier. This monitor seems to only not be offensive in a WELL lit room. I like to dim the lights or use red lights or use screen dimming software a few hours before bed and this monitor is too much -- that is too bright all the time expect say if my PC was set outside at noon in full sun I bet this monitor would not be offensive. The occasional White blank loading pages in windows is horrific with this monitor. The occasional White backgrounds that windows puts in everywhere for some reason, and that arent changeable, are horrific with this monitor. The eye saving setting seems to do nothing. Programming/coding on this monitor is horrible all times of day. This is my first time buying a MSI monitor, and likely the last. Maybe MSI customer service and customer sanctification will upgrade me to a monitor that doesnt blind its users -- or maybe ill sell this monitor to some poor soul and buy an LG.

Im trying to love this monitor because everything else in the same spec bracket is $200+. There are many things to love about this monitor for its price. Mainly being 100hz and the 34 inch 3440x1440 resolution + a decent Samsung VA panel that many other companies use. So whats my problem with this product? The color is not very accurate, and no matter what you do to the settings, it cannot be fixed. More importantly, Its sorta kinda blurry. When you concentrate on the text it becomes clear, but when one is in the normal view of the monitor the details become blurry. Also, it flickers. There seems to be some sort of delay in the brightness, so when you change pages or tabs there is a delay in brightening up whatever you are looking at, so it looks like its flickering. I thought maybe, its my computer and gpu. Luckily I work in an office building and have access to multiple different configurations of computers. No matter what I hook up to this monitor, i cant solve the issue. Ok, so thinking I have a lemon, I ordered 2 additional replacements. I have 3 of the same MSI 34" 1440 monitors hooked up to their individual computers and am basically conducting a controlled test. Results: 2 out of the 3 have the flickering problem, all three of them are blurry. Conclusion: spend a little more and get a better monitor I have a 32" Dell 1440, and a 34" 1440 60hz Samsung sitting next to the MSIs monitors, and im not having any issues with the big name brands. UPDATE: 2 weeks later, I decided to return my MSI 34" and decided to take my chances with a used Alienware 34" g-sync. I was really lucky to have found one undamaged from amazons warehouse, It says its used but it looks like someone returned the item without even opening the box. Night and day difference. Colors are so much more vibrant and the blurry texts are gone. Everything on the MSI seems totally washed out compared to the Alienware. I would just spend 150 dollars more and get a used Alienware from Amazon. Plus Dell has one of the best manufacturers warranty on the market.

Fiddling with the Picture in Picture settings I got my monitor into a state where it wouldnt stay on no matter what. (I think I managed to get both inputs on DVI but dont actually have a DVI cable). It would turn on about 3 seconds then power down (to save energy since its assigned source wasnt present). I do wish that it would wait a bit longer and that it would remain on if you are interacting with the options panel - so minus a star for clunky settings. BUT I reached out to customer support and they were super helpful, immediately working to try to help me get things resolved! By the way, if you somehow get into this situation, heres how I fixed it... you have to be fast (but its a gaming monitor, so youre probably good in that department). Turn on your monitor and start hitting the menu button... as soon as it pops up, hit the right arrow, (setup) then E (select), then right arrow (reset), then E (select again), then right arrow (slides the reset to On), the E one more time (select). This will do a factory reset and you should be good to go! I had to try about 10 times before I was practiced enough to get it in the 3 seconds or so before the monitor turned off, but it worked! Besides this, the monitor seems great. Crisp, warm colors, deep blacks, almost no flicker. I will warn you that you need a beefy graphics card to push this monitor, as you would with any 3k... my 5 year old budget laptop is definitely having a rough go of it... but I am so happy with MSI support service Im probably going to go ahead and get a new laptop from them as well!

What can I say, this is an awesome screen at an awesome price. I’m in love with my games all over again. I went back and played games I haven’t played in a while just to get a different experience. This screen doesn’t disappoint. Only down fall if I can give any is the brightness, it’s not as bright as my last standard screen but it’s minimal issue and still love it. Side note: have the equipment to run it, decent video card, it’s well worth it. Watched some UHD movies on ultrawide and WOW. If you have AMD card it has freesync which helps a good bit.

This is a purpose built work horse for people on a budget. This monitor has fantastic contrast, great blacks, plenty fast enough for me at 135FPS on Overwatch. I use this monitor for productivity and it is beautiful. Youtube and Netfix look stunning and way better than my 4K 55" Samsung TV. I have become an MSI fan due to their motherboards and Graphics Cards. They have exceeded every expectation in the past and this monitor has done it again in spades! Thank you MSI for viewing bliss and Amazon for getting it to me in a flash.
