I have been struggling to color calibrate this monitor with older 22inch LG monitor. I am using Spyder Pro 4. For a while I have been blaming it on Spyder Pro that the colors would be obviously different. Recently I realized that there is a big color shift in this monitor as a function of angle. So there are angles from which the colors look mostly the same while from the normal angles they are not. Color calibration is complicated by the fact that there various display modes (video, photo, custom) that do not the same and have different sets of adjustments. "Custom" does not look as detailed as "Photo" no matter how I adjust the controls. "Photo" on the other hand does not allow for manual RGB color adjustment. Also, when viewing video there is a noticeable delay in video over sound (I use NVidia GTX970 - decent video card). Bottom line: the experience is not smooth at all.
