I had two weeks ago the bigger version of this model, the U2717D which is 1440p of resolution. It was great, but I didnt get used to it, the text was smaller than 1080p and was kinda hard for me to read on it and for daily use. So I have returned the monitor a few days ago. It was so amazing that I decided to buy the smaller brother of the model, this one and Im very happy I did it. You will love the thin bezels and the great quality of construction and materials used. Due to I was used to see thing on a 1080p monitor, it wasnt hard for me to love it as soon as I open the box to see that amazing techonlogy in front of my face. My unit was in good conditions, black is black even in a dark room, but if you turn off the light and you see a completely dark picture or a background, you can see a little white light coming from the bottom, thanks god is not disturbing at all, you wont notice it, unless you put a completely dark background forever. Gaming on this monitor is the best experience in my entire life. I highly recommend this model to all of you guys, you wont regret it. Just one thing to remember, to get the best colors possible, make sure to change the Present Mode from Standard to sRGB, it is the best calibration option right now for the monitor, Dell did it for us. Also, for gamers, change the Response Time from Normal (8 ms) to Fast (6 ms). I think these options should come selected out of the box. Go ahead and buy this monitor or the big brother (U2717D 27" 1440P), both are great!. Whats in the box: 1. Monitor with stand 2. Power cable 3. DP to mDP cable 4. USB 3.0 upstream cable 5. Drivers and documentation media 6. Quick setup guide 7. Safety Information 8. Factory Calibration Report Connectivity: 1. DP connector (include DP in and DP out) 2. mDP connector 3. HDMI (MHL) connector

I have been using this monitor for about a week and have no complaints whatsoever. I actually purchased this as an alternative to another recent purchase - detailed information below, which may be very helpful if youre trying to decide between a few different monitor options for your need. I currently work as a software engineer - so I primarily use my computer as a power user for reading and writing code in a variety of different tools and languages. I am not much of a gamer, but will play games occasionally. When I was purchasing monitors a few weeks back, I was looking to update my home workspace setup to better serve me for effectively being able to work from home on occasion. I first purchased an Asus VG245H (high-performance gaming monitor). As with most computer parts/peripherals, etc., I was under the impression that something branded for "gaming" would indicate that it had more power, was sharper, etc. and would be an overall better product for any use case. Interestingly, I learned that the TN (twisted nematic) display was good for speed and refresh rates, but not good for color clarity and viewing angles. I then researched and learned that the IPS display type, which this monitor has, is far superior for standard day-to-day work and use. As stated in the title, I use it with a 15" MacBook Pro (basically brand new with Retina display). As monitors go, this one has been the absolute best 1080p display for matching the colors of the Retina. It makes it very nice to use as a secondary screen to my Mac. Also, this is 1080p - so not nearly as high resolution as some of the 4k options, but what I have found is that for day-to-day use, when using a 4k display and actually trying to get all of its power and resolution, items just become too small on the screen - your eyes will hurt. Furthermore, if you want to step up to a 4k option, you are going to find yourself paying 2-3x more than you would for this screen. My preferred setup is to have 2x 1080p screens instead of 1 4k. Great for on a budget. Finally I wanted to fill in some blanks that I felt were left by the specs and descriptions online while I was buying. - This monitor has a USB-out and multiple USB-in ports so that you can use it as a hub for your peripherals and only use one USB port on your laptop/computer - It comes in the box with a DisplayPort-MiniDisplayPort cable as well as a USB cable to connect to your computer from the USB-out port. (as well as power, obviously). The screen also has an HDMI input, but does not come with an HDMI cable. - There is a DisplayPort-out port that allows you to daisy-chain multiple monitors together when used with supported video cards. The MacBook Pro has a video card that supports it (the hardware itself), but macOS does not support this functionality as of now. So, if you use your Mac in Boot Camp mode with Windows, you can do the daisy-chaining, otherwise, youll have to use one ThunderBolt port per display. - The base stand allows for the screen to pivot in place for a reasonable degree range - The arm that connects the screen to the stand raises and tilts, as well as it allows the screen to be rotated vertically so that you can use it in either widescreen or portrait mode (excellent for reading/writing long articles, code, etc). This was an out-of-box requirement for my purchase, as I didnt really want to spend an extra $75-100 on a monitor arm. - IMPORTANT (if a Mac user): ThunderBolt and Mini DisplayPort are NOT the same thing. They are partially interoperable, but not the exact same. AS SUCH - I spent an hour thinking I had been shipped a dud monitor because when I plugged the monitor into my machine via DisplayPort-to-Mini cable, it would not detect the computer. This was because I had plugged the cable in UPSIDE DOWN. The cable it not shaped exactly like ThunderBolt, so it is possible to plug in upside down and not work. If you plug your machine up and it isnt detecting, try flipping the cable over. Caught me very off guard that that was possible. All in all, great screen, and I will probably be buying another one in the near future.

I purchased 2 of these to use with my Mid-2015 15" Macbook Pro, and have had no issues at all. The included Mini DisplayPort cable worked fine. To use the USB ports on the monitor you do need to use an included cable (different from the mDP cable) plug the monitor into a USB slot on your computer. The quality of the screen and the adjustable base is excellent. I havent had the need to make any screen adjustments except for brightness. The different color modes have come in handy when watching movies or playing video games. The small bezel is great for my dual-monitor setup. When researching these, I was considering getting TN panels instead, since they are cheaper and have lower refresh rates. However, Ive been really happy with the decision to go with these IPS panels. They have excellent color reproduction, wide viewing angles, and with the limited amount of gaming I have done so far (primarily League of Legends), response time hasnt been an issue. The addition of the USB ports is great as well. Im very happy that I spent a little bit more and bought these over cheaper monitors.

Got two of these. At first the picture seemed excellent but the longer I used them the more I found some issues. The backlight uniformity was not very good, the right edge of the screen is much darker than the middle on both of them, and the middle to left of the screen seemed to have a yellow tint on both as well. Hard to adjust between the dark part being easy to see and the bright yellow part not being too bright. Text near the edges of the screen seemed blurry and there was some slight backlight bleed on the edges (one was worse than the other about this). The monitors are very nice looking and the stands are fantastic. Pictures look great, its mainly text and web pages I had issues with. Decided to return them since I will probably be keeping what I do wind up with for a long time. Have to mention the seller, Greener Sales, because shipping was free and as fast as Amazon prime, and they processed my return with no problems, even issuing the refund when I shipped the products. Excellent experience with them and I highly recommend. The monitors themselves are OK but I am going to try something else...I feel they should be better at this price point.

This is a great update to my previously favorite Dell Monitor the U2414H. We bought 16 (sixteen) of them for new office space and are very happy. As the backs of the monitors will be visible in our setup - I quite like the dark silver back (vs the older versions black back). Also this one has the large Dell Logo on the stand - if you are mounting on arms (as we plan to) you wont see big Dell Logos on the back of the monitors. The Dell Logo on the bottom/front/middle is also much, much smaller than the U2414H. Small details, but they definitely make it more aesthetically pleasing. One surprise - there is no HDMI cable in the box. Plan accordingly. These are very nice, thin bezel monitors. Far from the thinnest panels around these days, but the bezel must be one of the thinnest still. No speakers - but you can buy an add-on Dell speaker that can be attached to the bottom of this monitor if you need that. This monitor provides great color accuracy out of the box (with a calibration report included if that is important/interesting to you). These are great for setting next to each other in a multi-monitor setup. They are VESA compatible - which was important for me - and the VESA mount point is in the middle of the back panel, not at the top of bottom like some others. If you want to keep things simple, the provided stand is very good. Another important point if you are in a well lit space - these monitors have a matte finish - that is not reflective at all. If this is important to you - be careful with other very similarly labelled Dell monitors - many of the cheaper ones are highly reflective.

Nice size monitor and provides great graphics. However, an inherent problems exists if you try to use Dells method of daisy chaining the video cable. I hooked up 2 monitors using the dell method of daisy chaining the video from the computer to the first monitor and then from the 1st monitor to the second. Every couple of minutes, one of the monitors would blank out for a second or two and then come back. I found that many people had this problem and Dell would exchange them but the problem continued.

Amazing panels, great color reproduction, fantastic thin bezels, fantastic stand that moves in every way you would need it to. Bought three for surround setup and never want to go back. I could go on but theres no reason, just buy it.

I was looking for a monitor that would play well with Steam and Minecraft on a non-gaming computer. After quite a bit of research I settled on the UltraSharp and have been very pleased with that decision. The most remarkable thing about the monitor is its stand, which is exceptionally customizable. The monitor also has a USB charging port, which is great for Skyping on my iPad during long gaming sessions.

I love these Infinity Edge Ultra Sharps because not only can you rotate them but they have support DisplayPort pass through to another monitor if your computer only has a single DisplayPort. All of the Lesser Dell monitors dont have this ability good for the price its easy to get this over any of their professional or bunch of models. There is a huge quality difference for the 30 or so dollars you spend extra
