Beautiful monitor--best Ive used. I upgraded my 3 year old Windows 7 64 bit Dell to Windows 10 to get the touch features and although the screen looked great, the touch didnt work initially. Just an FYI, so far the WIndows 10 upgrade has been problem free (surprise) although it took forever (over night). I called Acer (866-695-2237) and a very patient tech spent about a hour with me trying to update drivers before we figured out I hadnt connected the 2nd cable. It needs both a HDMI cable (for normal screen stuff) and a USB cable for the touch features. The instructions are a little fuzzy--as if translated (poorly) from another language. Somewhat weirdly, my monitor came with a cable that is USB on one end (connects to the computer) and a very odd connection on the other end that connects to the monitor. The tech said the other end is called "1800 mm" and it looks like two small boxes, one on top of the other. The 4 cable isnt quite long enough, and I cant find anything on-line to order a 6 version. Actually, I found the part number on Amazon, but it was for Europe only and couldnt be delivered to the US. So Ive ordered a USB extension cable instead.

Dont Sleep On This One...Im blown away! I I bought this monitor with expectations of using the multi-touch capability to control my DAW software. Ive only had this monitor a day, and I can already tell this a great addition to my sound production suite. Using this touchscreen in combination with the mouse (and sometimes keyboard) really has the potential of increasing workflow a great deal. I took the opportunity to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. This was to utilize the full multi-touch function in my Sonar Cakewalk DAW. This required Windows 8 or later. Ive only had one issue so far with not being able enter anything in any of the fields via touchscreen or keyboard. I had no way to log back into the computer. The problem turn out to be a Creative audio interface with very old and quirky drivers. Once I unplugged that and restarted, everything was fine. Over all the touchscreen is very responsive for me. The brightness, colors, and clarity are on par for my needs. It has VESA mount capability, and the adjustable monitor stand is removable. It also contains a small cover to replace where arm was removed.. I found a small swivel type mount w/arm to mount to desk. It really gave me a few options for angling the monitor to my preference. The monitor is very lightweight and well made. The clear plastic bottom edge is very easy to remove. This worked out great for using as a control desk. The 3 usb out ports were really a plus!!! This allowed me to plug in a software dongle, and my keyboard/mouse wireless thingy. The size of the monitor makes adjusting most of knobs and sliders a dream. The 27" size gives me pretty good size buttons, dials and instrumentation at 1020x1080 res. Very easy to read from all angles. Ive done a lot of research on this monitor and found most reviews favorable. (As a DAW control surface). For me this is much cheaper than buying a hardware controller and much more versatile. IMO. I havent delved much into Adobe Photoshop or Premiere yet but it looks promising. Dont know if the colors are acceptable to photography professionals, but theyre pretty acceptable to my taste. Cons..Monitor Adjustment Button Placement. The way I have the monitor mounted, Im able to slide it in & out. When I do this I almost every time hit the power off switch or adjustment buttons. Very easy to accidentally touch stuff and drag something, or open an app, especially around the edge. (That isnt really a con, guess it just takes getting familiar with it .)

This is a beautiful monitor.I took a risk, this is a very recent product from Acer and there is little written about it that I could find. My intended applications are Digital Audio and Photo processing. The colors and contrast are amazing and it is very responsive as a touch screen. I am really pleased with the picture quality. The screen was delivered with the image set to vivid, it took 5 seconds to set the screen to a more comfortable brightness. The instructions are minimal. The speakers are awful, good enough for web browsing. But I didnt buy it for the speakers. The camera is good for web conferencing but the screen does not include a microphone, which is kind of annoying. The stand is surprisingly good and sturdy. I like my screens high to minimize neck/ back strain, so I bought and Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arm, Tall Pole (45-295-026) at the same time I purchased the monitor. I used the monitor stand for a day or so before installing the Ergotron. I could not find instructions on how to remove the Acer stand once the Ergotron was attached, but I knew it was possible because of the additional plastic cover supplied by Acer. So I experimented. Simply grab the black plastic cover over the arm hinge and pinch. Out comes the hinge cover to expose the four screws holding on the arm. Remove the screws and the arm comes off. Snap the flat plastic cover in the hole. Nearly $900 is expensive for a monitor. But this is worth it for the image quality.

This works great with my Windows 10 touchscreen HP laptop. I need to look at several things at once; i.e. comparing data. Maximizing/Minimizing windows and placing them side-by-size on just the laptop screen can only get me so far. Having this monitor next to my laptop now makes my work much more convenient. My laptop has an HDMI output which plugs into one of the two HDMI ports on the monitor. (The monitor also has a VGA input) I also have one of my USB 3.0 ports on my laptop plugged into the USB 3.0 port on the monitor (needed for the touchscreen). Note that the monitor has a USB 3.0 hub built-in; 3 USB 3.0 ports with one being a "power port" to charge your USB device. In other words, the monitor takes up one of my USB 3.0 ports on my laptop, but gives 3 USB 3.0 ports back on the left side of the monitor. The adjustable stand is also another plus. I can easily vary the tilt of the monitor by just pushing or lifting it. I noticed the built-in speakers are not that powerful, but Im not using the monitor to watch videos or movies. (I can send the sound from my laptop to the monitor speakers via the HDMI cable) The color feels it can be crisper, but isnt too bad for me. (I am not doing any photography work) One thing I noticed is the documentation and the CD-ROM with additional documentation is really sparse. There is not really much information provided, especially with the setup menu. However, I did not really have any issue setting up the monitor though. All in all, I am happy as the touchscreen monitor works and suits my needs.

I bought this after viewing the set-up in MS store. They didnt have any in stock and would not sell the display so I ordered this. Set-up was so simple. I am a photographer. This may save my eyes. I can see so much more detail now than on the Surface Pro set up. I HIGHLY recommend this monitor. The touch screen is fabulous!! You cant find a better monitor.

I bought two of these for my home office, mounted them with a dual-arm mount, and Im loving them. I dont use touch as often as Id like to work with Windows, but when I do, I love having the option. (How did I get so lazy with a mouse?) The screens are bright and sharp and huge. Theyre heavy, so if youre mounting them, get someone to help out. If you install two of them, the touchscreens need to be set up with Windows 8 (since, if you think about it, Windows doesnt know which touchscreen USB input corresponds to which monitor). To do so, be sure to run the Tablet PC Setting program in windows, and then click Setup to configure the displays. Some small downsides: - Im having an occasional issue where one of the monitors thinks that I am touching it in the middle of the screen, which Windows 8 interprets as a sustained "right click." Pretty annoying, but I cant blame the monitors yet. Could just be Windows or drivers or who knows. - Ive mounted my monitors on a dual-arm mount, which is great, except that the gray stand in the back (which isnt being used, since the monitors are mounted) sticks out pretty far. It cant be folded in. As a result, my desk must sit 6 inches from the wall.
