I was actually a little nervous at first, because I’ve read on other dimmable ring lights, that they don’t actually dim very well, which was a concern for me. I added a video, it dims beautifully, so I’m very impressed. It also came with a little wireless phone remote, so that’s been fun too!! Definitely happy with this ring light!!

Got my ring light and had some time to test it. First of all, it comes with all the necessary extras. A bluetooth remote button, a phone attachment, and carrying bag. Its quite competitive to the other brands out there. The led light is quite bright, it comes with both white and orange led lights, so you can get warm, cool and a mixed type of light, based on your needs. It is very powerful in terms of lighting the subject. I wanted a ring light for my youtube videos and instagram photos. Feels like an early Christmas!! I am so happy with the purchase and look forward to other products by Samtian brand!

We have a fair amount of lighting equipment (soft boxes, LED panels, spot lights...) but this one is our new addition and new favorite. Its so easy and fast to set up and so versatile with its color and intensity dial knobs. It has a sturdy base, a standard power figure 8 cable and a padded carry bag. We have not taken it on locations yet but so far we love it for our in studio shoots.

I been looking for a ring light and I’m glad I bought this one! It is bigger than I expected but hey I got an 18” lol. The only thing I don’t like is that the ring is flimsy at where it attaches to the rod, maybe I attached it wrong but that doesn’t matter. What matters is it does its job as a ring light.

Loving this light! It’s a lot bigger than I expected, which is a huge plus! I don’t see any negative with this item. The light is bright and it dims well too. It comes with a remote, so you can turn it on and off from a distance. This is great for pictures and for my makeup. It also comes in a case, so it’s perfect to bring it for taking pictures. I will definitely use it for indoor pictures and makeup. It took me 5 min to put it up. Super easy to assemble and easy to take it down as well.

I was super excited to unbox and setup my 18 inch Samitan light. I read a lot of reviews between Samitan and Neewer and opted to give Samitan a try. Heres what I found: Pro- 2 carrying cases. One for the ring light and one for the tripod. Pro- Instructions are included Pro- Set up time was just under 12 minutes Con- The hot shoe aattachment does not fit the groove. I cannot use the attachment to hold a cell phone or Dslr camera. You can see in my picture with the green arrow, the space between the fixed groove and the square is too small. I cant adjust it and I cant force it in. Con- The tripod is feeble but I expected this. Just be careful where you set this up and make sure its locked tight. I bought this to use for a clients shoot tomorrow. Luckily, I needed it as a fill light and not to attach my camera to. However, my daughter plans to use this to vlog as well so I will need to get a replacement hor shoe sent out. Ill update on the customer service.. Check out the pictures of the components. I also took a selfie in a dark room to give an idea of the light coverage.

I got this to use in my barber shop, but it isnt useful at all, it is too flimsy and finnicky to use in a real work environment. Its unstable and difficult to adjust. After tilting the light a few times the tilt lock function already is wearing out. The LEDs dont look evenly bright either, it has some hot spots that appear about 20% brighter than the rest of the light. Maybe ok for a kid to use, but its not for any real professional application.

This light is amazing. It come with a large carrying bag and it’s super easy to set up. The fixture come with all quick release connection so you don’t need any tool to set up. Everything is straightforward. The light intensity is adjustable. It goes from almost no additional light to as bright as you can’t really open your eyes. The cellphone holder is easy to install and it’s pretty standard type of holder you will find on self-stick. Overall I think this light is worth the money. There’s not much to complain about. ❤️I hope my review is helpful in any way. Thank you. ❤️

Ring lights are useful for all types of shoots, from music videos to event shooting and portraits. It provides uniform light coming straight from the camera’s point of view, which is great for even light, and helps eliminate shadows. The Samtian 18-inch Ring Light is a great quality lighting tool for many applications. It holds my iPhone 6Plus, my spare iPhone 6, my canon camera, and canon motion camera. It came with all the adapters for all of them. It comes with a very nice carrying case for easy portability. The height of the stand can be adjusted easily. The knobs turn easily and look very durable. It compacts down to a very small size. I love this feature. The 18” size of this ring light is perfect for creating that cute highlight in your eyes. Smaller ring lights don’t create that. I especially love that it is dimmable and the color temperature can be adjusted as well. I’m super excited to use this light for my social media posts. It’s a great addition to my current gear.
