I bought this television from Best Buy and just after a year it developed "dirty screen effect" this is where the panel has cloudy/dirty patches that become very visible during light portions of tv shows and movies. It become unwatchable. After some research I found out that this is common for the panel used in this tv. I had the geak squad come out to evaluate the tv and they determined that the panel was in fact defective. Because I did not purchase the extended warranty they said there was nothing they could do. They suggested I contact Vizio directly(which is harder than you think) I contacted Vizio and explained my issue, they responded with a copied and pasted response to turn off tv reset to factory settings blah blah blah. I followed there directions exactly with the result being no change in the cloudiness of the TV. I then reached out again with the results of their suggested fix and that it had no effect on the panel and also that the geek squad reported the panel to be defective. I got the same copied and pasted response from them as before. With the added response that it would cost more for ME to repair than to purchase a new tv. I responded back to Vizio that the defect was theirs and they should repair or replace. I have not heard back from them at all. I have been reaching out to Vizio for three months now for a response and they refuse to respond. I would recommend that you stay clear of this TV because of its known defective panels and stay clear of Vizio for failing to stand by their products and their total disregard for their customers.
