Way too many online reviews on the new P75-F1 are hypercritical. If you download test patterns and run them adnosium, yes, there are faults with this TV and damn near every other new TV out there. We just went through a big upgrade to the equipment in our TV room, sound system is now 7.1.4, Oppo 203 and Panasonic UB-820 players, etc. We have Dish Hopper 3 for our cable delivery. We are continually amazed by the picture on the Vizio. We sold a four year old Sharp Aquos 70 that was one of their highend models at the time, so I didnt expect too much, boy was I wrong. The colors pop, the detail is amazing, the off angle viewing is very good, the Dish TV shows have never looked so good. And with 4K HDR discs played back on the Oppo or the Panasonic, it is something to behold. Even our collection of old blu-ray discs look better than they ever have. Even though the Panasonic has not rolled out their Dolby Vision update yet, its not easy to tell the difference between the two players on this TV when playing a Dolby Vision disc(Last Jedi, etc.) Yeah, I ran all the tests and looked for problems, found some FALD artifacts, but in real world viewing, nothing has showed up that diminishes our opinion of this TV. We purchased ours from Costco, but it doesnt matter where you get it, shop price and buy an extended warranty, sit back and be amazed

I bought this television from Best Buy and just after a year it developed "dirty screen effect" this is where the panel has cloudy/dirty patches that become very visible during light portions of tv shows and movies. It become unwatchable. After some research I found out that this is common for the panel used in this tv. I had the geak squad come out to evaluate the tv and they determined that the panel was in fact defective. Because I did not purchase the extended warranty they said there was nothing they could do. They suggested I contact Vizio directly(which is harder than you think) I contacted Vizio and explained my issue, they responded with a copied and pasted response to turn off tv reset to factory settings blah blah blah. I followed there directions exactly with the result being no change in the cloudiness of the TV. I then reached out again with the results of their suggested fix and that it had no effect on the panel and also that the geek squad reported the panel to be defective. I got the same copied and pasted response from them as before. With the added response that it would cost more for ME to repair than to purchase a new tv. I responded back to Vizio that the defect was theirs and they should repair or replace. I have not heard back from them at all. I have been reaching out to Vizio for three months now for a response and they refuse to respond. I would recommend that you stay clear of this TV because of its known defective panels and stay clear of Vizio for failing to stand by their products and their total disregard for their customers.

Very happy with the TV overall. Picture quality is outstanding, lots of inputs, good amount of customization options, built in Google Cast support, built in apps actually work well, etc. One important note!! The built-in wifi sucks. Even with a very solid enterprise wifi setup at home, the wifi AND wired network connections could not maintain a fast connection and would regularly buffer. I have numerous other 4K playback devices that do just fine in the same position whether on wifi or wired. Not sure if I got a bad unit in terms of networking but it didnt matter in the end because Ill be using my Xbox One X or Roku Ultra in the future anyway. The built in speakers are garbage but thats to be expected from all modern TVs. Vizio soundbar with surround support was only $150 on sale at Costco and provided more than enough clarity versus the integrated speakers. The only issues that I need more time to work out are possible color accuracy issues. Ill run the TV for at least 150 hours and then calibrate it using an off-the-shelf calibration disk. Hopefully the end result will reduce the overly bright reds and greens.

Ive had this TV for about a month, and I can say confidently that your experience depends heavily on the content youre watching. This TV provides a 5-star picture with dark blacks, bright highlights and rich colors in movies, TV shows, and video games, but viewing sports like hockey or golf where there are large areas of the same or similar colors are consistently giving me uniformity issues, also known as the "dirty screen effect," during quick pans of the camera. Its very distracting during games, and while turning down the backlight to 70% reduced the problem, I cant unsee the problem. The issue appears as slightly darker spots or vertical bars in between the bright areas where the LED backlights bleed through - and when 50-70% of my usage is watching hockey, Im seriously considering returning my model and investing in a Sony LCD with better panel quality control or a projector. If you wont be watching sports - Id give this 5 stars without hesitation. If you are - its a 2.5 star set.

This TV came with a great image. Unlike some I do not see the led array and with my Sony X700 Blu ray player the images are great. This is our second 4K Vizio in the last 4 years. Bought it inline from Costco and It came with delivery. It took our technician a bit of time to install as we replaced the mount as well. The remote is not nearly as nice as the one that came with our Other 4K non HDR TV that now resides on the bedroom wall. As with all current TVs there is always something that looks better. I could have waited for QLED or OLED (at affordable prices for a 70 to 75 incher) but when one is old waiting may not be so good. Four stars and if it had the old remote with a keyboard on the back it would be 4.5 stars from me.

Vizio P75 - F1 Poor picture uniformity - you can see where the LED arrays are. I originally purchased a Vizio P75-C1 (2016) $3800, and was happy with the picture. However after 9 months its full array LED had several cloudy areas and by the time a replacement was delivered a 2x2 foot section of LEDs completely failed. Through manufacturer warranty I got a replacement P75-C1 and within 9 months it too had developed some cloudy areas but this time the extended warranty was in effect and I got the Vizio P75-F1 as a replacement. The P75-F1 TV was only a $2200 and I suspected that meant they were using cheaper components, but it’s a warranty replacement and spec wise was at least as good as the TV it was replacing. Turns out its not, it immediately had poor screen uniformity. I can actually tell where the LED arrays are in certain plain backgrounds and in some moving shots when you figure out where the darker lines are you are constantly drawn too them and it detracts from enjoying the viewing, constantly looking for scenes where the defects show through. Im now returning the 3rd Vizio P75 now, but the extended warranty seems like it will force me to stick with Vizio P75s but Ive lost faith and if I had a choice I would at this time probably try a Sony XBR75X900F instead.
