(a) Do not be fooled: USB socket is only to charge Mobiles! You cannot just put USB Flash-drive and give presentations! (b) You cannot turn off, unless you unplug the Projector! Either it is On or Blinking continuously, what a flaw! In the night blinking is annoying! (c) You are paying 30% more that includes a mini-charger for Mobiles! One can buy for $3 from Dollar-Stores! (d) No carrying case! One discovers when one has to carry to other places. It is no computer-monitor, it needs to be moved for most usages! (e) I paid 35% more just to attach second laptop. How foolish for me, chances of using this feature: 98%-Not. (f) What percentage folks in family or small office use LAN control: in my humble opinion 5%. Yet one is paying foolishly getting excited like me about use of flexibility in technology. (g) Good part has two HDMI connection slots, just for rare occasions when two presenters are taking turns with two laptops connected.

The ViewSonic PG705HD projector worked excellently right out of the box. It has a sharp, bright image. All critical inputs are readily accessible. Easy operations and image adjustments. Would definitely recommend it.

The ViewSonic PG705HD 1080p projector features 4,000 lumens, Full HD 1920x1080 native resolution which creates an amazingly, bright image in nearly any light environment. Due to its five unique view modes, it provides the best possible viewing experience in any environment regardless of ambient light It features a shorter throw ratio which was very essential in our most recent use. We needed it to cast images along our entrance way to our exhibit, it was still daylight outside and the projector was able to project the image nicely. The images were needed to advertise our feature and encouraged visitors to come inside to see our VR exhibits. Summary: (1) SuperColor (2) 4,000 Lumen Brightness (3) Network Monitoring & Control (4) Energy-efficient SuperEco (5) Balanced Color and Brightness (6) Programmable Remote Control (7) Dual 3D Blu-ray Ready HDMI Inputs The most amazing feature of this projector is the Industry-leading Warranty. ViewSonic offers one of the industrys best overall projector warranties with 3-year limited parts and labor, 1-year lamp, and first year free Express Exchange service. Having a one year warranty on the lamp is essential in the entertainment industry.

Short version Pros: bright, great contrast (no washout), sharp, intuitive, light weight, large choice of connection ports, quiet. Short version Cons: focus and zoom are manual only but easy, inputs are hardwired, sound is OK, probably can’t be mounted upside down on a ceiling or set up for rear or upside down projection. No case. Won’t fit in your briefcase. You don’t need the instructions if you’ve ever used the menu on a smart TV, but they’re there. This is intuitive. Setup is quick and intuitive for any hardwired connection. I hooked this up to a computer projecting both photos and MS PowerPoint, to Amazon Fire and to a Blu-Ray player. All the images were crisp with excellent contrast. For reasons I don’t understand, some projectors are fuzzy with PowerPoint, this one is absolutely not, totally crisp. It has keystone capability, which allows you to restore the image to a rectangle if you’re projecting on an angle that tends to turn the image into a trapezoid. As projector sits flat on a table, it is set to project slightly upward; there is an adjustable front foot to raise it more. The specs say it’s good to 300” (25’) and that’s probably good. I was only able to test it at a 21’. The images are incredible and if you get close, you can see the pixels, it’s that sharp. This machine is quiet, you won’t notice or compete with any cooling noise. The sound system is adequate and clear for a small group, but there is a stereo out port to use for larger settings. I’ve taken this twice to client sites when I wanted to run short videos. They have projectors in their conference room, but these colors are so much crisper that it’s worth the hassle for me and for them. The sound is adequate for a small group. Posting some pics of close ups of the image, but keep in mind a pic of an image doesn’t do it justice. You have to see the image quality to appreciate it. If you need image quality, this is the best I’ve seen with the exception of very large, very expensive fixed monitors/TVs.

The image quality with this projector is like nothing I’ve ever seen. It’s much closer to a television that it is to any other projector I’ve ever used. Perhaps more remarkable is that you get that quality in a very easy to use package. Yes, there are cheaper options, but if you are truly looking for the best, I don’t think you’ll go wrong with the Viewsonic PG705HD.
