This was actually a pretty good projector for what I used it for. The bulb was bright enough to use in a lit room and the resolution was great from a few feet away, but there were 2 main issues. First, there were a few spots on the lens which weren’t too noticeable when the lens was focused but it did leave a few blurred “shadows” on the picture and the sound was laughably low but that was easily rectified with a set of pc speakers. I used this maybe once a week since I got it in August and now in the beginning of December, it won’t stay on for more than a few seconds at a time. I have it connected to my Nintendo Switch and when it goes out, I can pick up the Switch and keep playing so I know it’s not an external device issue. The projector just shuts down and the red light next to the bulb icon and the heat icon start flashing red. It’s completely unacceptable to only be able to use it for a few seconds and this after having it for only 4 months. I would understand it dying if it’s been a few years, but come on...

I was hoping to replace my old viewsonic projectors with this model, and was glad to find that the image was so bright and crisp. But my computer guru realized that the image was rippling across the screen, and then I saw what he was talking about so I returned the projector.

I have been researching a projector for hosting Fight Nights & sporting events without upgrading my 55" 4K TV which Im very happy with for everyday viewing .To get anywhere near 3000 lumens the prices where $700 to $1400. This projector is 3300 lumens and the picture is very compatible to my TV ( pictures enclosed to show comparison) The projector is mounted on a plant shelf 9 9" up and 17 from wall in family room to project 115" of viewing on a pull down movie screen that hangs over my 55" TV. I have a media box with a hdmi connection for movies & switch to an hdmi connection to my cable box for fights & sports. The sound is very decent and just basic sound. But for surround sound effect with base & loudness I connect my JBL portable speaker and the sound is amazing! You can watch in day time & lights on with the 3300 lumens but the lights off and night time watching awes everyone who comes over to my events! I am very impressed with price & picture so I decided to write review and hopefully help out with research. I totally recommend!

This is a great projector. I bought it to replace my old projector when the bulb finally burned out (a fact of life with all projectors). Rather than spending $95 and an afternoon aligning the bulb in the old projector, I just got this one. I use it for presentations because its much more portable than a gigant-o-screen Tee Vee. It has just one flaw. If you connect with an HDMI cable, it pipes the sound through the speakers in the projector. The volume was extremely low, even when cranked all the way up on both the computer and projector, and it was very tinny. Cmon guys, cant you put better sound in there for $300? I still have to use the VGA cables and haul around external speakers for my presentations. By the way, if you are getting this projector portability, you *MUST* buy the PJ-CASE-008 carrying case. Youll be sorry if you dont.

I decided to trade my 300 lumen pico projector for this one, and the difference is night and day! Obviously not as portable, but the image is so much better! I had no trouble setting it up and am using it with a FireTV stick plugged in the HDMI port. This is the perfect combination. The projector is very bright, and the high definition picture is a real treat. I barely hear the fan noise (I actually dont notice it when watching movies). Note that since the FireTV connects to my surround sound system via bluetooth, I didnt get a chance to test the speaker on the projector. I am so glad I traded portability for image quality given that the projector doesnt rever leave my media room. The projector is about 14 feet from the screen and fills it completely. Overall, a complete upgrade for less than 500$. Well worth it!

I ordered this budget model projector to use for outdoor movies and opted for the SVGA model. For the price point and the 3000+ lumens you cant beat this unit. I set it up on the recent full moon evening and was concerned that the ambient light might drown out the projector....but no problems. The unit is more than bright enough. I plugged in an Amazon Fire TV stick and was up and streaming movies with no problem. It has a micro-usb port so the stick plugged right in. The built in speaker is adequate on full volume but I bought a pair of Bose Companion 2 computer speakers and I only need about 20% volume to have nice sound (without bothering the neighbors).

Im still in awe that this projector was priced at the point where it was. Since buying a 120" outdoor HD screen Ive been searching for the right projector. After reading professional and consumer reviews I decided that this would be that projector and I couldnt be happier. The brightness is strong enough that I can use it, under our magnolia tree, during the day and the picture is crisp. Dont even get me started about using it at night. Its an amazing picture. I plug my Amazon Fire Stick into the HDMI port and away you go! (Be sure that you have a good wifi signal where you set up the projector.) The sound issue was simple; I have a decent computer speaker system that I dont use any more. It has a subwoofer and 2 normal speakers. I just plugged that into the sound out port and TaDa! It was almost like surround sound. A couple of additional point: If you have a mini-usb cord for your phone you can actually use this project to watch videos from that source. All in all, I couldnt be happier with this purchase. (Oh, and my friends are ecstatic, too.) Football season just took on a new life!

This is fantastic and I used it at chistmas for out door Christmas movies. People drive by and would watch. I even had my neighbors come with their lsen chairs to watch a Christmas movie! It was crisp and clear and super easy to use. I plugged it into another speaker full full sound. It was a huge hit! Cant wait to have a movie night this summer with our neighbors. I wish it had a lense protector though. I kept the box, and store it in there. Honestly big bang for your dollar! I bought a grey see through type of screen, but a white sheet will work too. The remoted is easy to navigate. It took me 10 minutes to set up. Ran movies off my cell phone, then my lap top. It does not have a port for flash drives. No USB which is another little ding. But not enough to give it 4 stars. You have 1 HDMI port, 1 VGA port, 1 AUX port, and 1 for a micro USB, which nothing I had fit into it. You can use it for business, indoor/outdoor movies, or decorating. Game night in your garage for the guys! It offers rear projection too.

This thing is awesome! I bought an Epson unit from Best Buy for $299 due to the high praise as a business projector suitable for PPT presentations, except that it stunk! Blurry images, hard to read text and washed out colors. So I shopped around and tried to find the next best deal - and this is IT! For just $30 more I have crystal clear images, sharp text and bright colors. PLUS this one has an audio output for connecting your own speakers (backyard movie night here we come!). I am EXTREMELY pleased with this unit!!

If your needing a good projector for power point presentations, this is a good choice. It has a bright lamp and a nice clear picture. It has a 3300 lumen lamp which is pretty good for $300.00 dollars! If your looking for a 1080p projector, youll need to look elsewhere and pay a lot more.
