Install Flash Player Before buying this projector I had researched so many and my head was turning to mince, so much information out there and if youve never bought a projector before it can be baffling. I wanted a projector that would be good for watching films and also for art projects. This one was the winner because it fit my budget, came with all the wires needed to set it up and also has a focusing lens. From what Id read, and ,maybe gotten it wrong, the other projectors in this price bracket could only be focused by distance. Yes, this is a factor, however the picture can be focused without relying on distance alone. So I ordered the Vankyo and hoped it would be decent. I was under no illusion that at this price point it was going to be anything other than just good. The item arrived much earlier than expected (about 4 days earlier) so that was great. I was surprised that it was so compact and even described it as cute to my husband. The bag it came in looks very high quality and everything inside was very well protected. Set up was surprisingly easy, attached it to the laptop and it was up and running straight away, menu is easy to navigate and you can play around with settings to find what suits your set up. I havent had any sound issues, well probably attach it to speakers as surround sound is better than what comes out but still, does the job. The fan is quiet, audible but not annoying and you can still hear whatever youre watching clearly. There is a sound in the video and I have no idea where it came from, rest assured its not the fan or the speakers because that would be really annoying. Its a great little projector, I took the picture and the video (if it will upload) at around 8:45 in the morning and its projected onto a white sheet, yes, I know, high tech. The image is clear and I just wanted to show that you could potentially use it at any time of day. If I had to I would buy this again, it turned out better than I thought I was going to get.

I bought this projector to use outside on clear nights to break up the usual "watch the TV" every night. I removed it from the box and laid out everything to ensure everything was there and it was. It comes with an HDMI cable, a 3 way Audio/Video cable and power cable. It has a remote that will control the projector only, a rubber lens cap and of course a power cable. It has a speaker that is made into the projector and is quiet sufficient for indoor use but it can be hooked up to external speakers using the ear phones connection on the side. It also comes with a fabric case that is well made with 2 separate compartments in the base and another folder like pocket on the lid. The left compartment in the base is for the projector itself it has to straps that connect with Velcro to hold the project firmly in place when being carried. The 2nd is a little smaller and it is to hold all of the cables and remote. It does not have any straps to hold any of the cables in place however with everything placed in the compartment that comes with the projector, it fits snugly and doesnt need anything to hold it all in the compartment. The pocket in the lid is mainly for the manual and quick start guide. You could put the remote or a cable or 2 in it but there is no way to ensure it would not slide over on top of the projector. I dont think a cable would damage the projectors case but the remote could damage the lens housing, that just my opinion. It does not come with a wifi dongal. that you will have to buy separately. The quick start guide is real easy to understand as well as the user manual. My 7 year old nephew used the quick start to connect the cables and start a movie playing thats how easy it is to use. It has a housing made of plastic and 2 ways to adjust the picture. The first is for adjusting the clarity of the picture and the second is to adjust what I would call the "tilt" of the picture vertically on the screen. It was actually setup for a perfect picture from the factory if you place the projector about 6 to 7 feet from the screen. It can be placed closer for a smaller screen size or a bit further away for a much larger screen, however the further back you go over 10 feet the harder I think it is to bring the picture into focus. it isnt so bad that it cant be done but the picture is great at 6 to 7 feet and quiet large at that distance so I didnt place it any further than 10 feet away and the picture was still great. I have hooked up my DVD player, PS4, Xbox One, Wii, Dish Network Satellite DVR, my Samsung S8+ phone and the Amazon Fire Tablet up to it and all had great picture to them. I loved playing all of my game consoles using the projector. There was no lag time and I could see EVERYTHING much faster than on a 42 inch TV screen. It is a huge step up if you are stuck with a small TV. The picture is clear and looks great It is very close to the same picture quality like you would see at the movies but it is not exact. It is a very very small difference that most people will not even notice, that said if you watch movies a lot on the big screen theaters you will notice the subtle difference. This , in my opinion, comes from screen quality and of course the theaters are using a much much better projector but if your expecting for it to look exactly the same as the screen in the theaters then you probably will not be happy with this or any other projector that I know of without counting a "movie theater" of course. lol Every single device I connected with exception to the Wifi dongal connection were extremely easy to connect and took only a few minutes to actually watching a movie. The Wifi dongal itself that I purchased was a little difficult to get to work however that is not due to this projector at all. After I got it to connect it was the same as the rest an excellent color picture that made me feel like i was at the movies in my own back yard. The Dish Network satellite DVR was extremely easy to connect to the projector however I ran into sound problems through no fault of the projector itself. Dish has a copy write type of software in-bedded in the DVR that will cut the sound off coming out of the DVR itself if it detects or thinks it is a piece of electronics that will compromise their end user policy at least thats what dish network told me anyway. All in all I was pleasantly surprised with the capabilitys of this projector. Easy to setup and use and picture quality is excellent as well. It comes with just about every cable or adapter cable to connect it to the majority of items you will connect it to and the case it comes with is pretty well made to protect your investment. I hope I have given you enough information to make a more informed decision. If I find anything new or any issues I run into in the near future I will update this review. Thank you for taking time to read my review of this projector.

I spent the week testing and playing with this unit after having another projector (not this brand) that wouldnt even work for half of a movie. I am well pleased with this unit, it is exactly what I would expect out of a projector. I tested this with a USB drive, and I was able to access the files on it, and then using my laptop with the HDMI cable to watch movies. I am planning on having a dedicated DVD player for watching movies in the future. It runs really cool, after a 2 hour movie it is barely warm. The fan is not loud, and I didnt even notice it during the movie, and I was sitting right next to the projector. The speaker is much more than I expected, it is clear and has decent sound on its own, but a larger speaker setup is best for a movie with friends. The headphone output to my surround sound system works great with no distortions that I could tell. For the picture, it looks really good for a home projector that I spent less than $100 on. Projecting onto a white sheet from about 10 feet away, the picture is clear and easy to watch. It reminds me of the old dollar theaters that I grew up with, and that brings some nostalgia along with the fun of having my own projector. I suspect with a better screen or even a blank wall the picture would be even better. I also only watched DVDs as that is all my laptop will run, but I think a Blu-Ray hooked up to this will be really good. After the first projector that I bought this year and was disappointed with, I spent a lot of time looking for a better one and settled on the Vankyo, due to the very good reviews, and I am glad I did. It does everything that I want it to do which is namely watching movies in the backyard over the summer. I would definitely recommend this projector for an affordable way to have some fun. The bag that comes with the projector is good, but I already have a hard case that I want to keep the projector in. The bag that came with is just the right size to hold my king sized sheet that is my portable screen. The only issue that I had with the whole thing was the remote. I couldnt get it to work at all, despite several different batteries. I emailed the company and had a reply back in only a couple of hours, and they are sending me a new remote. That is the kind of customer service that I expect, and it keeps me loyal to a company. I feel confident that if there are any other problems that come up they will take care of me the same way. #Share Your LEISURE at Your Leisure#

This projector gets an A+ for value. Weve had this projector installed for a few weeks. If you are a savvy, high-quality experience-seeking individual, I would caution against this projector because it is not high-end. I havent used a projector at home for over a decade, so my experience and knowledge is low. With that said, Im very happy with this projector for our use in the basement for kids movies & wii. I mounted it to the ceiling and had no problems with set up. The built-in speaker was surprisingly loud albeit of mono speaker quality. I never planned on using the built-in speaker for long and hooked it up to a receiver for surround sound. Im at a throw distance of about 14 feet so my "screen" size (it projects onto an empty wall) is huge, probably around 12 feet maybe larger. The center is crisp and clear but the edges are slightly out of focus...it bothered me during set up but I havent once noticed it during a movie or games. The projector built-in fan is loud...that is my 1-star reduction on the review. While I have no frame of reference for the noise level of a more expensive projector, the fan is loud enough for me to be annoyed during use but not loud enough for me to do something about it. My kids havent complained at all and they think they have their own movie theater in our basement. The brightness needs the room to be dark...not pitch black but the darker the better. Overall, not a top-notch projector but for the price I am quite satisfied.

I purchased the Vankyo Leisure 3 LED projector after having it on my wish list for quite a while. I was inspired to bite the bullet and make the purchase after a friend bought a projector (a different make/model) and really loved it. I was a little skeptical about the purchase but, it was a lighting deal so I thought I wasnt risking much. I am SO glad that I bought it. It arrived earlier than expected and the packaging was extremely secure. The padded case with included cables was a big surprise, but thats my fault for not reading the listing thoroughly since it is clearly mentioned. I took my time setting it up and building the screen that you see in the picture attached to this review. I built the screen to be 54 inches wide x 36 inches tall on 34 inch legs. This gives me a 70 inch diagonal image. I mention this just to give you a reference when viewing the attached picture. (Note: To build the screen I used a felt backed white vinyl table cloth (I should also mention that in order to get the wrinkles out of the vinyl I put it in the dryer with a couple of wet towels on low heat for about 8 minutes in one minute intervals) that I purchased at my local big box department store for $7. I also used three 10 foot lengths of 1 inch PVC, 2 90 degree elbows, and 4 T couplers. Counting the table cloth the grand total for the screen was about $20.) As you can see from the image there was a significant amount of daylight bleeding into the room but the picture still looks pretty good. At night the picture is fantastic and the colors are sharp and vibrant. If I had to pick one thing negative to say about this projector it would be that the power cable requires a bit more force to fully insert into the body of the projector that one might expect. So, be your power cable is fully inserted. If you dont then the slightest movement of the cord will cause the projector to lose power. I found this out the hard way when my dog walked by and brushed against the power cord. Other than that, I cant say enough positive things about this projector. It completely lived up to my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying one that is still sitting on the fence. Do it, you wont regret it.

This is my first projector and Im very glad I went with this choice! It isnt bulky, its easy to set up and the many picture adjustment options let you create a perfect picture. The many cables that are included make the initial setup easy and quick. Ive connected it to my laptop (Lenovo yoga w/ an hdmi adapter) and it worked instantly and without issue. The sound that comes from the projector is honestly good enough for a casual movie night, but its easy to hook up your own speakers for that nice stereo. Im not too picky with the sound and am usually too lazy to turn on the speakers. It is very important to calibrate your own picture and colors, as the pre-sets dont work well in every environment. Mine had a terrible blue tint and not a lot of contrast at first. I used a YouTube picture calibration video to configure mine and compared the projection to what was shown on my laptop. (My settings, if anyone wants to use them as a pointer- contrast 23, brightness 43, color 36, sharpness 60, tint 50; red 79, green 28, blue 10. Might not work for everyone though, so dont be mad if it doesnt.)

The product description is very deceiving. First thing it says is "supports 1920x1080". If you scroll way down youll notice in the comparison chart it says "native resolution 840x400". This projector inputs 1080p (1920x1080) image from your PC, so in your computer settings it seems like a 1080p display, then compresses the image to display on the 840x400 pixels it projects. The image is so choppy you cant even read text on the display because each letter is only a few pixels. DO NOT BUY if youre looking for even half-decent image quality.

I purchased this so we can setup outdoor movies in the summertime. The projector itself is small and light. I haven’t seen a projector in a long time, but this thing is small and easy to handle. The case for it is also nice and doesn’t take up much space. I don’t plan on using this item more than a few times per year (until I figure out how to stream college football). My setup for the video is using google chrome cast and streaming Netflix. I tried purchasing an adapter to hook up my iPad directly via HDMI to lightning port (through another product) and it did not work. Since this purchase was really for the family, I’m sure I will be able to play with it in due time. Picture quality was what I expected. Since we will be viewing outdoors I was not looking for super clear picture quality, however this projector seems to have it. Sound quality is what you can expect from a projector. I plan on connecting a portable speaker via Bluetooth to get better sound quality and volume. The unit itself is easy to use and connect. My comfort level with audio and video is pretty high, but I imagine most would be able to figure it out. Overall this is a good product and the price is fair. Recommend!

Install Flash Player I ordered this projector to use to show a movie on the lawn. This was for my children’s graduation celebration. This was a very good buy. First, the package arrived on time and safely packed. I purchased this with the 120 in. Screen. It was very simple to set up. The directions were clear. I am using a Amazon fire stick plugged into the HDMI slot on the back of the projector. The image is very clear and it is easy to focus. We started watching a movie before desk and was still able to see without any problem. The only problem I found was with playing videos in Netflix. I do believe that this may be a problem in my settings on Netflix I will try and figure this out at a later time. I am able to play movies in Hulu, Disney, and Amazon prime without any problem. So again I think this is just a problem with my Netflix settings.
