This uses a triangular mounting screw pattern, where universal mounts have four arms. I was able to rig it up, but save a headache and get a Sony mount. Just installed yesterday and so far very impressed! I wasnt able to get all focus lines 100% sharp at the same time but may be due to slight trapezoid or 135" screen surface thats 14 feet away. Still wondering if 3 year old 1100es would be any better? Discontinued now but that was a 25k projector you can find now for half that.

Coming from an Optoma 4k eShift projector, I am blown away by the 695ES! This thing is really good at just about everything and is one of the most well rounded projectors I have had the opportunity to see. The projector displays a beautiful true 4k image with really good color (90-93% dci p3 depending on calibration settings), has good brightness with 1,800 lumens in high lamp mode and has a very sharp picture. In fact, one of the things I like best is the ability with the new processor to apply reality creation settings against 4k material. I am able to see every wrinkle, every pore, every drop of sweat, and it is glorious! With dynamic contrast, the blacks are blacker and the bright colors are brighter. I also feel like the black levels, especially near black, are excellent and the dynamic iris really helps as well. 3D looks great and upconverting 1080p material is also a strength of this projector. Although I dont use it much, I love the ability to control zoom, lens shift and focus with the remote and the ability to store up to 5 different setups with lens memory. I am very happy with my 695ES and feel like I found "the one".

I purchased this projector in February and was more than amazed by the overall picture quality and brightness when paired with a Screen Innovations 0.8 screen. The automatic zoom feature was the main selling point for me and I have greatly enjoyed this feature. I have had multiple people tell me that outside of laser, this is the brightest and best picture they have ever seen in a home theater. Unfortunately, two months into my ownership this projector started having issues in regards to the internal moving parts and making a horrible noise that sounded like a bad fan. Be warned - Sony requires that all repairs on these higher end projectors (even on the > $35K units) be done out of Syracuse, NY. Also, you will hear stories from the repair facility (which is not Sony) about how parts can delay these repairs for weeks and even months. All in all, I am very happy with the picture quality of this projector, but with that being said I would recommend looking at other brands due to the warranty issues I have had with my projector. Follow up- Sony actually contacted me about my review and said that they have heard numerous complaints about the repair facility but unfortunately there is nothing they can do about it. I couldnt believe they were actually telling me this. If you buy this projector - cross your fingers that you never have an issue with it!
