I know this is a business projector, but for the price, it should be able to handle movies/videos pretty well too. First the positives: this projector can play through internal speakers, its very bright when projective white, easy to set up, has a simple but fitted carrying case, and its pretty quiet while running. Thats all to be expected of a projector of $300+. However, there were issues with playing videos, or at least, the problems were more obvious while playing videos. The overall color/images are not as bright or vibrant as my other projector (not an entertainment projector) that cost $200 7 years ago, even with adjusting the settings. I compared them side by side. But the kicker is that when theres a darker scene, its obvious that the brightness changes/flickers brighter, darker, every few seconds or so. Its subtle, but noticeable and annoying. Ive tried making sure all the cords are inserted fully when this happens, but determined thats not the issue. The unit also is heavier than my other projector and gets pretty hot. The foot design could be better too. Its the kind where its a screw you turn, but that takes forever. I prefer the feet that can be released and adjusted with a push of a button as on other projectors Ive dealt with/owned. So actually Im overall disappointed with this projector, after using it over the course of a year. The problems have persisted, and I just deal with it, but I definitely feel like for the price of the projector ($400+ at the time of this writing), youd be better off getting a projector thats good with displaying presentations (for business) AND HD videos (for entertainment).
