Mini Projector,CamKing U90 1500 Lumens 1080P Video Projector for Home Cinema

I’ve wanted to get a small projector for a long time. Especially since I’ve moved offices and don’t have a TV to view tv shows or movies. I decided to pick this one up because I’ve used Cam King products in the past and have had good luck with most of them. This projector gives you many ways to interface with it; you have VGA, HDMI, AV, SD, and USB. The way I use it is by HDMI. I have a Firestick setup to it and use the USB port to power it, and it works pretty well with it. I usually have the projector set up on a tripod, so once I get done using it, I put everything back in the box, I wish the projector had a case. However, I assume you can get one if you wanted to. One of the main issues I have with this projector is it is really loud, with the fans, I know they mentioned in the product description that it was supposed to have improved quite fans, but to me I don’t set that at all, once you turn the projector on the fans start right off that bat. So you would need some good speakers if you want to cancel the sound out. The built-in speakers are okay, but that is an issue on all projectors. However, when using this projector, you have to have the room pretty dark to get a good picture. If I have my only light on in my office, the projector will not display anything on the wall, and that is with blackout curtains. However, overall the picture quality is pretty good. It took me some time to get the picture focused where it would display things crystal clear. But after I got it set, I have never had to focus it again. Now, this isn’t a true 1080p projector, but when displaying 1080p content, the projector does a pretty good job if you are not close to the image you wouldn’t notice a difference anyway. Overall, this is a pretty lovely projector, I am happy with this projector, like yes CamKing can improve on some things about the projector but if you want a cheap option to watch movies, then this projector will do a decent job. I’m pleased that it has an option to mount it with a tripod. It would be nice to see them include a full lens cap to cover the lens for storage, the one they give you is pointless. So if they do that, this would be a great projector to travel with too because the size isn’t that big and it displays a good enough picture for any content.

This is really bright, the quality of the picture is really good. The inputs give a nice variety. The speaker isnt very powerful as expected, but attaching external speakers makes this nice to use. When connecting external usb drives to this, the menu is easy to sort through the type of media you have on your drives, but I ran into a couple of issues I am not sure about. This seems to play a good variety of media, mkv, avi, mp4, m4v, however, it played some of my mp4 files and others it didnt, but the ones it didnt were over 4 GB, so I am not sure if it is a file size issue or what, there wasnt anything in the instruction manual on file formats or sizes. I am huge on my USB media, so I like to know these things. The other issue I ran into was when I connected my 2 TB drive, it recognized the drive, but it didnt see a lot of the content, I wasnt sure if it was trying to load files or what, but that is a little frustrating that it doesnt see all my files. I do like the screen size that it supported and I like how it has a little dial on the back to help with the keystone correction. This is definitely not for PPT as mentioned in the description, words on the corners were a little blurry. Words in the middle looked fine though, so if you have a movie with subtitles, it doesnt have any issues. I would prefer a matte finish instead of gloss for the fingerprint issues. Overall, decent as a portable projector for media.

Like the product, easy setup as long as you read the instructions all the way. (Which is super easy because it’s one paper front & back) Also, the built-in volume is good, watch my video to hear for yourself. The video is the sound at maximum amount playing straight from the projector. The projector is compact. I only wish this was Bluetooth and came with all the additional adapters, not just the AV. The pictures and video showed taken with my iPhone XS Max. The connection was made using an HDMI adapter on my Lenovo ThinkPad.

Got this projector and used it to set up a movie night at home. I was able to project right on to the wall and the picture was really decent, thought it took some time to tweak it properly to get the best pic. Also hooked it up to a sound bar and it was like being at the movies but while sitting on my couch!
