Pros: Relatively Quiet Clean Aesthetic Look Bright, while maintaining a decent contrast level for a sub $1000 projector Plenty of modern and older connections Cons: Slightly odd mounting holes Menus arent the most intuitive ( you have to go several levels deep to figure out how to rotate the screen)

Bright, clear picture at 1080p, even on the Eco setting. Fan is very quiet. Overall, great value for the money!

Very good. I got this for my shop and there is some stray light. The first projector I got was horrible. Claimed 4000 lumens. Not even close. This one blows the doors off that one. The photo shows the two images projected on the wall. On the right is the bad one. On the left is this BenQ. Its like 5X brighter. And the clarity of the text is amazing. The contrast is amazing. (note, the wall I projected on is just the shop wall. There are marks and holes in it).

We bought this for our home theater. Its a powerful little gadget. We havent installed light blocking curtains on our windows and there is a big one right where this projector is and this baby can hold its own with ambient lighting filtering through our cellular shades. We also use it for gaming and have not had any trouble.

We had been using a state-of-the-art projector from back in 2004, and it had lost its luster -- or was it the screen? Got the BenQ and the answer was obvious -- a crisp HD picture (from diverse sources such as HDMI from cable, CD player, VCR) with such brilliance that there was no need to consider a new screen. It is like having a 110 inch HD TV! And it is quiet. Plus the remote controls numerous functions so picture quality, aspect, etc are easily adjusted. Couldnt be happier.

Got the projector in 1 day shipping. After some research and with so many choices, I just pulled the plug and ordered a projector right away; otherwise, I would have spent a few more months delaying this orgasmic fun that I have just experienced thus far. Current Review: Pro: -Been testing out the machine all day and used Batman V Superman Bluray and Marvel PS4 Spiderman as examples. They look spectacular. The quality is super. A little bit of manual adjusting and its a real 1080p from 13ft away. Got an orgasm off of this beauty. My 50" TV of 6 years pales in comparison to this 118" projector screen I have. Con: -Wish they had bluetooth on the machine. -Gets hot pretty quick. So try keeping it cool by turning it off when not in use. -Audio is real weak. Then again, you are suppose to have speaker system of some sort to compensate the audio deficiency. Makes sure to use optical cables and plug from the gaming console to the speaker system; because the projector does not have a optical outlet. Well, at least not the 2017 model. Overall: -I am greatly satisfied. I look forward to testing my machine some more, and will write another review down the road if deemed necessary.

I researched projectors for nearly a month, it was overwhelming to say the least. I finally decided on this one seeing that it would hit the mark on all my needs for a “budget” projector. I’m glad I did my research and purchased a BenQ. This is used in a basement “budget” home theater and I couldn’t be happier. Picture quality is amazing and the brightness is plenty visible with the lights on. Plenty bright if you want to watch sports or what not with the lights on. Obviously with the lights off, it’s extremely bright and clear. In my opinion it’s comparable to the brightness of a large movie theater experience. If your looking for a projector that won’t break the bank and still experience a movie theater setting. This is the one. Don’t pull your hair out trying to figure out which one to buy. I already did that for you. You won’t be disappointed, good luck and have fun!

I am very impressed with the picture quality and brightness. Directions leave something to be desired. I dont think it has a screen trigger outlet. Dont get it if you want to use the internal speakers, they are a joke. It is quite large compared to my older BenQ projector which has been a great piece of equipment, I hope this one is as well.

What a light cannon! I enjoy watching TV in my living room that has a wall of floor to ceiling windows. No problem! Of course, the blacks are blacker at night. But, for all sports and all but the blackest movie scenes, this projector shows a great 120" picture on my textured wall in the middle of the day. Amazing. Colors are great too. With other projectors Ive had to put blankets over the windows for daytime viewing. Not anymore. Also, with previous projectors it seemed I could never get sharp text and clarity no matter what I did. But this projector snaps right into focus and stays sharp even when adjusting size. How do they do that?

Audio is poor, but for a home theater where you will be using a sound system anyway its not an issue (hence the 5 star rating).. The picture is outstanding.. Replaced a 4 year old projector that cost me over $1,000 and the picture on this blows it away (even when it was brand new). Not too many picture controls, but the projector does a good job of self governing the picture. 1080P movies look absolutely amazing... Ceiling mounted projecting on a 9 ft. diagonal screen. Projector is 12 feet from screen. There is a manual zoom which is great for adjusting the size of the picture to fit your screen perfectly...
