Great little projector. Used it with miracast and chromecast dongle and worked perfectly, battery life is good. about 3-4 hrs on low brightness, 1.5 hrs on brightest . Full brightness not available without AC power. cant see well in bright room, but that is to be expected from such a device. Love the ability to add a memory stick so I can just download videos and documents to it and use the remote to view them. Audio is loud enough for medium sized room but a bit treble (also to be expected from a device this size). for good sound (think bass) an external speaker is a good addition. keystone correction is great! I can get the device close to the display and below line of vision (less chance of people knocking it over). The fan is very quiet and cannot be heard at all over normal audio levels. It gets hot, but never too hot to touch. Display is crisp and clear but the focus adjustment is VERY sensitive and not easy to get perfect. Menu system takes getting used to, but once you figure it out its easy. remote needs more tactile feedback. it is so smooth that you cannot feel where the buttons are and in a darkened room that is not a good thing. I put a dot of tape on the center button so I could at least know that one :)

Update 2/2/2019. I should never have written a review on this product until spending more time with it. Sorry. So many mistakes I made up front its embarrassing. Never did that on an Amazon review before. Lesson learned. This product offered many settings and features that I missed seeing early-on. Still havent used it to its potential. To correct a few things; The remote is fine. Small and hard to use in the dark but it does the job. Have to aim it backwards so the beam can hit the projector if youre sitting in front - unless Im missing something again. After actually reading through the built-in tutorial, we learned much. For one thing, the projector supports 3D, so Ive just ordered a pair of glasses for it. Hopefully they work. Very excited about that. Audio from the built-in speaker is still basically too small for home. But weve discovered something worth passing on for those who might be curious. If you still have an older surround system lacking hdmi as ours does - the projector appears to pass surround through the mini-jack just like our older tv with rca outs. It shows a headphone icon but the tutorial labels it, "audio out",. I plugged into our onkyo system with an 1/8 mini to rca pair adapter cord. The onkyo set to surround appeared to have material passing audio to rear channels, dialog on center front and sub on some program material. Others agreed. Its a proper little theater now. Our love for this device continues to grow. The picture looks awesome in a darkened room - especially from something so small. Bright and beautiful colors if you take the time to set it up correctly. Only tiny complaint would be focus ring sensitivity. That sweet spot is tiny. Also wish for a zoom lens at times. Not digital zoom. Anyway, shouldve bought it a long ago! The size of image will spoil you and not having to worry about a bulb is also awesome. Would buy the Asus projector again in a heartbeat! Our next purchase?,....a screen.

Disclaimer: I only received this projector yesterday, so my review is only for my initial impressions. I will update the review later if my opinion changes as I use the projector more. I love this little thing. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I looked at the Nebula series by Anker, ZTE Spro, and many other unknown Chinese brands that are sold here on Amazon. After spending a lot of time reading the reviews, I learned how many of these projectors failed to live up to the hype - or they lacked enough lumens to be used in any setting except for complete darkness. Then I came across the Asus P3B and everything seemed to line up for what I wanted : Short throw? Check. Optional battery power? Check. Compact and easy to travel with? Check. Enough lumens to be used in a low light setting? Check. Native resolution was at least 720p? Check. Some concerns I had before buying: Many reviewers complained about not being able to get wireless USB adapters to work. I found that it indeed does have problems with USB wireless adapaters, at least for the one I tried to use. It just did not recognize it and the USB adapter I tried was an Asus adapter (ASUS USB-AC53)... go figure. Others mentioned it would not work with Miracast connectors. In my case, it works BEAUTIFULLY for me. And it does not require a wireless adapater to be used in addition to it either. I just simply plugged the Miracast adapter (specifically I have the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter) in to the HDMI and USB ports on the projector, switched the input to HDMI and bingo - there it was. I connected with my Surface Book 2 and I instantly had an extended display. The picture quality is superb. The colors are rich and the projector instantly powers on. Asus includes a soft case but I dont trust that for traveling where the potential of damage could occur, so I bought the Pelican 1200 case to use with this projector and it perfectly fits the projector, power cords, and remote. I love this thing and will be using it a lot in the future! I will update my review later if there is anything relevant to add.

I am quite satisfied with this projector. Obviously, you should not use it outdoors or in a well-lighted room, but its perfect for small meeting rooms or a bedroom. There are a few gripes that shave off a fifth star though. 1. The physical keys are finicky and sometimes work in unexpected ways (pressing a button for X is registered as button Y), which means you need to use the remote control. 2. The projector battery discharges VERY quickly, going from full to almost empty in less than a week. I suspect this is due to the projector always being in a ready state to respond to remote control presses. 3. Some of the network features, once you buy the compatible dongle, feel half baked. The only reliable way to connect a phone is through the Asus app or via physical MHL cable. It SEEMS to want to support Android screen mirroring via Miracast (Note: Asus never claims this, but there is an option for it), but it almost always fails. 4. I feel the included carrying case is too small considering the bulkiness of the power adapter. In all, these are all minor issues with available workarounds which I hope Asus can possibly address with a firmware update (assuming its supported). So, I would still heartily recommend this product if portability and utility is what youre looking for.

This projector fulfilled my dreams after several months of searching, purchasing other products and failing to find a match for my needs. I wanted a light weight, portable projector that would work off of my iPhone, set up quickly and show a great picture in a moderately light room--big hopes and expectations. I tried the new Sony, and it was a total failure--dim images, poor technology integration, very poor performing app interface. I tried the Amazon DB power, and it was just cheap--I couldnt read any text on the screen. The Asus is totally great! It throws out very sharp, clear, bright images. It is very small and light and easy to set up quickly. The ultra short throw is fabulous. I put the Asus on a small table about five feet or less from the screen, and it makes a big, clear image. That saves a lot of space in the room, and you dont have to worry about people walking in front of it or knocking it around. It warms up fast and is ready to go shortly after you turn it on. I dont worry about turning it off and on because it is so quick. In one of my regular settings I dont need to turn the lights off. In another room with plenty of daylight, I turn off the lights and adjust the blinds and still get a functional image. Words show up sharp and clear. I recommend that you dont even try to work off the battery. It takes the image quality and brightness way down. But thats okay with me because the whole package is so small and light that I can carry a power cord without much extra weight. Because of the ultra short throw, I find that a short adaptor cord usually works fine without the need to carry a big orange cable around. I add a Bose speaker to the system for great sound when I want to show a YouTube. I use a headphone adaptor to connect the projector and speaker because there are always complications with bluetooth when there are other devices, such as my hearing aids, in the vicinity. I prefer a smooth presentation with no tech glitches. All the little connectors and cords fit into the case with the projector, except for the extra wall extension cord. So all I carry is the projector case, the Bose speaker and an extension cord. It all fits into a shoulder bag. The projector has all the connections I need--HDMI is the big one for me. The projector works really great with my iPhone through the HDMI. Be sure you use the Apple digital AV adaptor, or nothing will work properly. Do not use third-party adaptors with iPhone! The Apple adaptor makes everything work perfectly with the iPhone. I strongly recommend purchasing the little Manfrotto stand that screws into the bottom of the projector. It makes it very stable and you can adjust the throw easily. This projector is small but mighty. It would be great for throwing a big picture on a wall for viewing movies at home. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a small, lightweight projector for informal settings or even on-the-go business needs.

The brightness, the sharpness--its incredible. I run an HDMI from my laptop to this projector and watch all my media including Netflix etc projected against my wall 12 wide bedroom wall. I dont even need a screen. Its auto keystone feature is extraordinary as is the choices of screen color/brightness dynamics. Its small in size. Perfect for travel. Extraordinary product.

It is really a great piece - very polished and neat design, high quality and compact in size. It works with Microsoft wireless adapter out of the box. The only complain is no wifi dongle included and not sure which adapter will work the best.

These projectors are a Godsend for conducting classes in an environment plagued by constant power outages. They have a great picture, they are easy to use, project in Hi-def, and most of all... THEY KEEP RUNING when the power cuts happen!

The short throw is great for mural projects I do and its small enough to have it with me to travel. Also nice as a back up battery to charge a phone. It works good on the battery, but gives much better light connected. To me the auto keystone correction is a bit annoying, because it can suddenly change at any moment. But you can turn this off, only every time you start up the projector its automaticaly on. I bought the Asus wireless adapter, but this wont work with my Macbook, because the software is not up to date, so would be nice if they could update that.

Real powerfull little thing. I ve got an 3 meters long screen and the image is incredible, the projector is only 1 meter away from it... Loads of fonctions, the only regrettable thing is that the wifi dongle is not included in the already high price...
