June 26 2018 Update: Decided to give it one more try and so glad I did. I plugged the new unit in and was amazed at how nice it works. Easily hooked up the XBox and external speaker. Easily mirrored my Samsung Galaxy S5. I can now watch the ballgames, DirectTV, Netflix and Amazon Prime shows on a crystal clear 100+ inch "screen". I see some reviews saying their device died after only a few weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that mine lasts because its better than I could have hoped for. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Defective right out of the box. Lamp wouldnt light. Package also missing the HDMI cable that was supposed to be included. On the bright side, Amazon has about the simplest return process you could ask for. This unit seems to have pretty good reviews. I might order another one of these on the chance I just got a rare defective one. So far, the COCAR mini video projector gets 1 star, but the Amazon return process gets 5.

Install Flash Player This is the 2nd portable projector that I own, so far, I really like it. First of all, this thing pretty well built, the unit itself is encased in a alluminum/plastic enclosure that feels very solid and compact. It comes with a mini tripod that acts as it stands (I wish it also come with a wall mount or ceiling mount, but I guess you can purchase that separately). This thing has an SD Card slot and USB port (need to format your flash drive/card as NTFS, it wont read exFat partition) that you can use as a media storage (which makes this projector extremely portable and handy if youre travelling and need to bring your own entertainments). The built-in 4200maH battery on this projector last pretty long, about an hour of screen time for me. I have a 26000maH battery bank, which has a similar shape/size of the project so I can able to tether both of them together and that help me power this projector for at least 6 hours long. Before buying this projector, I was skeptical about its brightness and ability to use it during daytime (only 100 lumens), but oh boy, as long as you have your curtain on your windows, the pictures brightness and quality is still superb, bring enough to watch. I was able to get a screen size of 100" or so from a distance of 8ft (would be nice if this was a short-throw projector). Besides all the above pros, the best thing I like about this is that it has a built-in Android OS (I believe Android 7.1), so you have access to Play Store and can pretty much install any apps on it. For me, that is the Kodi app, with Kodi, I can pretty much play anything on my flash drives. Kodi is running pretty smoothly on this projector and picture quality is awesome. However, the built-in speaker is a little trebble-ish (Id recommend to pair a bluetooth speaker/soundbar to this projector and you got yourself a great home-theater setup for an affordable price.) However, there are a few improvements I think this could have: 1) A gigabit LAN port 2) maybe include a carrying case/pouch? 3) screen focus functions on the remote instead of on the projector itself. Id give it 6 stars it comes with those 3 improvements above, but however, its still worth a 5 stars to me. This thing would be awesome for a camping trip. Imagine, watching a scary movie in the wood on a 100" screen in the middle of the night!!!! Trippy!!!

The first night we had this, we used the device’s wifi-enabled Netflix app to project “Friends” on our ceiling above our bed so we could relax. The device’s speaker is great and the picture quality is surprisingly good considering how small this is. The next day I took it to work - the real reason why I bought this - and ditched my rolling case that I use to transport my other (and now huge) projector. Everyone was amazed at how small it is and how good the quality is. It fits nicely in my laptop backpack, so now I will never be without a projector. I also bought the lightning-to-HD cable so I can project from my iPhone. Very, very cool!

Bought to use for work presentations instead of lugging around old projector. After playing around with it for a few days, I can tell it will work perfectly for that. Also been playing movies in the house, kids get a kick out of watching on ceiling. The Netflix app works surprisingly well, as does Amazon video. (Having issue though when connected via HDMI to get to stream to Bluetooth speaker, still trying to figure that one out ) And although they didnt mention it, it does come with a USB to 5V cable, so you can hook right up to an external battery pack to avoid having to run long plug across room. Nice touch. Only disappointing thing is the tripod that comes with it. Flimsy, uneven. Seems like it would knock over way too easy. Ordered another one for $20 that I will use with it instead. Also ordered case to protect when in my bag...good ones on Amazon for $10-$15.

Install Flash Player This is not my first projector, but definitely my favorite one. have a big one at home with amazon fire stick, works well, Ill review that one after holidays. get back to this one, got this one for the project meeting since it is same size like my phone, you cannot beat that feature. come with a mini tripod which is much useful to set up everywhere and even can use the camera tripod, it fits as well. best part for the tripod is that i can simply watch a moving on my ceiling(pic 1). since i found this feature, it became the most often used projector. the aluminium frame looks really solid, and i/o ports on the back, including the hdmi which seldom see in this size projector, but it is easy to connect with tv stick and laptops. battery last at least 2 hours enough to finish a movie and usually i prefer to use a powerbank to extend the battery time. In the integrated android 4.4 system, i can install plenty apps i need, most times i use it independently without connecting with any device since these apps are enough to meet my needs. The remote has the basic button but easy to use, i dont like complicated remote cuz most buttons u never use. The projector is 100 lumens im not professional abt lumens but similar bright as my bfs 3000lumen one even with more details. The speaker is really tiny voice for me, it is ok for a presentation but cannot bear for a movie. I used Bluetooth to link to my speakers instead when im home. As a portable one, it performs very well. btw the amazon tech support is really helpful, somehow i dont have a manual in the box, i called support to ask help, they send me the information by email immediately and even wanted to help me set up the device over the phone. Thats one of the reason i chose here.

I really like the idea of this projector. Obviously the size is awesome for easy transport. I love having the option to be able to download apps like Netflix and Hulu which gets rid of the need to hook it up to a computer. There is also a way to mirror your phone to the projector wirelessly. This makes it really easy to share pictures or videos from your phone without being restrained with cords. However, it was somewhat difficult to figure out how to do that mirroring on my iPhone and the instructions weren’t very helpful. I was able to figure it out after about 15 minutes of tinkering. The picture and brightness looked fine when we tested it out. I was just projecting it onto a blank wall in the daytime and the picture was still pretty clear and visible. I don’t think you would be able to project a very large picture because of the small size of the projector, but for the size and price, I feel very happy with what I am getting.

Install Flash Player For the money and size it’s fantastic. I’m a Dj and look forward to having this portable projector to bring two client meetings and or possibly project video or pictures on my facade. It’s the size of my iPhone 8+ and very light weight. The only thing that isn’t good is the external speaker. But again for the size you can’t really expect much. It has the capability to hook up an external Bluetooth speaker or use the headphone jack. Happy with the purchase so far! Love the fact that it’s Wi-Fi capable and comes preloaded with Netflix and YouTube. It doesn’t get any more portable or convenient than this

Install Flash Player Soooo pleasantly surprised!!! Ive been comparing pocket projectors- for a while and have been researching alternative brands to the Pico Projector. This one came up as a contender, and I loved the fact that it said it was a smart projector (meaning it basically has an Android interface with apps you can download and a WiFi receiver. I figured, hey its amazon, if I have a real problem with it, then i could just return it. Well that is certainly not happening with this powerhouse, its awesome! So the size for starters- it looks like a Note8, but a little thicker. Its nice you can stream movies on it all night long directly. Its nice that it has a built in battery so that I can use it away from a power source. But best feature by far is its brightness. I have a little video here to show you what I mean. I have one of the classic $50 pocket projectors that you can charge via USB as well, but this one blows it out of the water. Check it out :)

This is a terrific Projector, that is really easy to use. Its small and very light so you can take it wherever you may need it , and takes less than a minute to set it up. In the above pictures the device is a little over 4 ft away from the wall and the viewing area is a similar size. you can put a memory card in the slot or use a HDMI cable (not included ) to connect to your laptop it has an internal memory ( ithink its 4Gb) so you can bluetooth videos over . it connects to wifi like a regular android device, and can be used to watch videos on the built in apps such as youtube and netflix - no more crowding around a small computer to show a power point or to watch a game! the downsides are that the built in speaker is not the greatest and you will need to connect an external speaker if you need real volume., and that if you need it to be a really really big display area you will lose some of the clarity. the tripod also is a little too short. All in all this is a great projector

Works really well. Software is a bit primitive and hard to navigate. I can’t seem to get the hdmi converter to work. Not sure yet if I bought a bad adapter or something else is wrong. Plays my amazon prime and Netflix perfectly over WiFi. Screen mirroring also works well. I’m very pleased with the picture quality. In the dark it’s outstanding. Not to good in a lit room expectedly. I’ve already watched movies as wide as 12’ and it was nice. Just for the portability sake it’s worth it. I still have a lot of experimenting before I can give the best review. When I learn everything I need to know I will update this review but as for now I’m very happy with the purchase and the fact that I had 30% off and I also had credit card points so I only had to pay $117 for it which helped out a lot. Remote control is a bit cumbersome with this device but it is operational. The sound on this thing pretty much sucks but as tiny as it is as pretty much expected also. I plugged it into my Bose mini and it sounds awesome. It’s very cinema like when you’re watching the big screen at home we love it I can’t really expect much more from a device that fits in my back pocket... I wanted to add an update to this since it’s now been four months since I purchased this projector. I just wanted to say how awesome this little thing is what a great picture it throws for how small it is. I run this with the Amazon fire stick and it is definitely the way to go. It makes maneuvering through all of your apps so much easier and gives you a way better display. You get a true 1080 P picture with the fire stick where as the native resolution is only 720 P if you’re using the pre-installed software. We’ve had great times with this thing since I’ve got it! Quite a remarkable tiny device love it!
