Incredible image from this small projector. We use it exclusively on battery power, which works great. We did two presentations in the same day without recharging. A complete charge takes about 4 hours, and in a pinch you can use AC power. The only downside to this unit (and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) is that the it does not include a case nor is one offered from the company. (We found a compatible case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072L7ZCDS.) Although my package arrived missing the remote, the folks at AAXA sent one immediately. Works great for presentations using a portable tabletop screen (we chose: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OBYYWG). Although the brightness does not match that of larger projectors that require AC power exclusively, for conference room / tabletop presentations this little projector does the job remarkably well. And the portability is amazing.

I have tried a number of compact projectors for my bedroom and most on the market are dim and low res. There are some Chinese projectors with reasonably good spec but the one I bought (XGIMI H2) broke after 2 days of use. And returning it was a pain in the ass as I didnt order through Amazon. Anyway, I wanted something with around 500 lumens and 1080p, doesnt break the bank, portable (for use during trips) and reasonable customer support. The P7 ticks every box. The P7 is compact with very decent brightness for its size. It has 2 brightness settings at 400 and 650 lumens. 400 is definitely bright enough for me in a dark room and 650 is more suitable if you have a few lights on. The picture quality is great. Full HD resolution means the picture and text remains sharp when viewing at a screen size of 100 inch. I cant sense any motion blur and the color is quite accurate (though it still cant compare to a dedicated 4K TV, but we are talking about a 400 dollars pico projector here). AAXA even provided a firmware update to fix the red (to some degree) which looked more like magenta when I first used it. Full marks for AAXAs customer support. Although I didnt specially measured it, I didnt feel any input lag when I played Smash Ultimate or Mario Kart on my Switch. This is really a nice surprise. Now I can game on a 100 inch screen on my bed! :D The speakers are serviceable and loud enough but I hooked it up with an external sound bar for better enjoyment. The only real complain I have is the noise of the fans. Using a decibel app on my phone I got about 40-42 dB when the projector is at 650 lumens and in the mid 30s when its at 400 lumens. Because of the way I have it set up, the P7 is very close to me and I can definitely hear the fan, especially during quieter scenes in a movie, but I dont really notice the fans most of the time. The P7 strikes a great balance between price and performance!

The picture was clear and bright in most environments. A very good upgrade to 1080 p for me. However, I would like a truer color representation. I agree with previous comments about the bright pink colors (particularly in lips and skin tones) being unnatural and somewhat distracting. Most reds are displayed almost as an “electric pink”. Manual adjustments did not seem to remedy this. Would like the manufacturer to address this and post an update please.

Dinged it two stars because the focus knob is abolute TRASH. It should have some sort of redesign to be deliberately and finely adjusted. If you use it at short range, its entirely too sensitive and has a bunch of slop. Easily the worst design Ive seen on *any* projector.... ever. Seems so-so bright; if you project onto a white or reflective screen seems entirely *satisfactory*, but large projection can get dim if youre in bright environment. Youll not forget that its a travel projector. all in all a nice projector, but I find myself constantly annoyed by the focus wheel. The main plus here is the its battery powered and native 1080p.

I really love its portability and the full HD resolution. Here are some cons so far: - A bit too noisy fan, especially when plugged in. - The color is a bit odd. For some reason it cant display red color properly and its more like magenta to me. - The mounting hole doesnt fit the tripod that came with the package. I had to work hard to get it in place. It would be a big plus if they make it zoomable.

Pros for this pico 1080p projector 1) very bright for its size. I can use it in daylight with the blinds about 50% open at the full 120 inches. I can safely get 65 inches in full daylight with lights on with washout on the dark spots, but that is because there can’t be dark spots on a whole wall in a lot room. 2) the image is surprisingly clear. I’ve had a dozen of these little projectors many were 720 or 800p and we’re decent, this bad boy throws a clear crisp image on nearly any surface. 3) it’s tiny, this is both a pro and con. The pro is you can keep it anywhere 4) price is great for a 1080p 450 lumen projector. It’s 600 on wall power, the 450 is more than adequate for indoor use. Cons 1) fan is wildly loud all the time. When in bright mode it’s unbearable. 2) speaker or driver for sound is complete garbage. The reason I’m sending mine back is for this reason alone. Sure I can use an extra external speaker but that defeats the purpose. 3) size, it’s too small for many places to be stable. Where something with a wider footprint would help it be stable. As well they had to cram all the ports together, so if you use a fire stick, chromecast, and the such in the hdmi they block the USB port needed for power. I used a 90 degree hdmi adapter to make room 4) it does not charge while on. This is to help with heat mitigation but man it’s a huge flaw. So if you drain it, plug it in and continue watching for say an hour, as soon as you unplug it it’s dead. Long and the short I use mine daily for my daughter so the sound and lack of charging while on doomed it from day 1. If this wasn’t a daily used item but say for presentation or weekends it’s perfect

The main advertisement picture for this projectror is misleading. I was expecting it to be much smaller and lighter. Im attaching some pictures so that you can see what I mean. I dont have average size hands and I wouldnt be able to easily hold it on my hand like the picture shows. Yes, its small for a projector, but its definitely not light and as other reviewers mentioned, its also quite large. I

So on paper this projector is one of the best values on the market right now and I really was hoping it would live up to the specs, which it does more or less do. The image is bright enough to use in a room for presenting a powerpoint even with a fair amount of ambient light and the resolution being true 1080p is very clear. However, as this is a new product, seems like Aaxa hasnt worked out the production issues as Ive gotten and returned two units due to different issues. The first one wouldnt focus properly and the second unit had a discoloration issue and some random flickering that would pop up across the projected image. All in all, a great idea, but the execution seems to have fallen short.

Update Feb 18, AXAA has contact me with an RMA number and said they are working for a patch to the color issue. Let see if they come through, current patch they sent me does apply to HDMI input so I am waiting for that one. I must state that I bought this Projector directly from AAXA online on Feb-11 and received it on Feb-13, picture is indeed 1080p, bright and sharp, but... First impression, the product looks very (very) cheap. The remote control is like those remotes that come with the cheap HDMI signal splitting box but I could live with that. The product did not come with any manual, but I could live with that also. The first issue I could not live with is the fan noise, which is so loud it masks the speaker volume big time. Second issue, picture is extremely washed out colors, bright, but washed out colors. In the menu there are plenty of settings to play with, however none of them works... For example, I lowered all settings to 0 and the picture stayed the same...:o( I will try to return this product to AAXA, about 15 min after I got it. Hopefully I will not loose all of my 450$...
